Synopsis
[Your world has been selected] . . [Survive] ... Those were the notifications that appeared in the sky on a random day before the world was thrown into a chaotic state. Mankind were at the risk of extinction if they could not resist this apocalypse — the End of the World. As their luck would have it, the God of Games who instigated this also blessed them with abilities. Abilities that would help them through this new world that had been modelled like a game. David Mustang was one of such humans who had awakened this ability and he swore he was going to survive and make the instigator pay. But first... He had to find someone — his sister.

Chapter 1 - 01. Prologue: Global Announcement

"Nothing in this world is to be feared, it is only to be understood."

Well…

Maybe that saying held true in the past where the supernatural never happened.

It was different today.

Maybe something about the world today is to be feared.

.

.

Bzzt~

The sky darkened as the atmosphere grew darker.

There were no strange signs before this, considering that a second ago, everywhere was clear as day.

It was as if night had befallen the Earth all of a sudden.

[Humans of Earth #210797]

A giant panel appeared in the sky for everyone to see.

It was an unbelievable thing.

Many wondered what was truly going on as this was a strange occurrence.

[Your world has been selected]

.

.

[In a short while you shall have to defend your world or lose it to outsiders. The choice is yours whichever]

.

.

[Several Earths like yours have fallen, as well as many other worlds also, because they failed to protect theirs from the outsiders. Oops! You must be wondering, who are these outsiders?]

.

.

[They are beings like yourselves who have lost their world and seek a place to recuperate and start afresh. Many of such species are hostile, and your world is just as perfect, but there is hope. There is one way for you, humans, to redeem this…]

.

.

[You have to reach the tower and climb to the top. Only the one who reaches the top has the right over this world regardless of the species they are]

.

.

"What the fuck is that?"

"Are we supposed to just accept this rubbish?"

"What is this crazy government up to now? I wonder what propaganda they are plotting again."

Many did not find this believable because of how randomly it had happened.

They believed it was a ploy by those in power to cause some sort of chaos for whatever purpose.

Little did the citizens know that several governments across the globe were already thrown into panic.

Calls flew from country to country.

Accusing fingers were pointed baselessly and bridges were burned in the chase to find who was responsible for such bizarre uploads.

Regardless of the amount of effort put in, they found nothing.

No country owned up to this act because it was not orchestrated by any mortal.

Some people just wanted to watch worlds burn for their entertainment.

Kekeke~

A mischievous laughter resonated in an otherworldly realm that was plain while with innumerable floating screens.

A young man wearing a pair of dirty brown shorts with a white polo and an unbuttoned red shirt over it, like someone headed for the beach, watched the screens and giggled mischievously like a child who was ready to cause mayhem and enjoy it.

He rubbed his hands together as he savoured the looks in the eyes of the humans that were projected on his screen.

"They don't believe me yet…" he muttered, his mouth spreading into a sinister grin.

The young boy brushed his red hair as he turned to another person inside this realm with him.

This person was a female with long, flowing red hair that stretched down to her large bosoms that could barely be contained by her shirt.

She was standing by a large monitor behind the boy with one red button at the bottom of it, waiting patiently for her command.

"Siri, hit the timer!" the boy instructed as he turned back to the array of screens.

"Now let's see if you all will take it seriously now."
