Chapter 34 - Rebinding

Back in the void, Omnis could be seen on the sphere of light as he watched the other sphere before him. Shrouding the sphere was a dark shadowy energy as the sphere itself changed from a white one to a darker one. Waiting patiently, the switching came to an end with the energy dissipating away from the dark sphere.

Opening up his eyes, Omnis was taken aback by the sight he could see. "Vrabam?" He said, trying to verify if it was the replica of himself, which was before him.

"I… feel…weak."The darker sphere spoke with his voice faint, barely audible and more to himself than to Omnis. Unable to even keep his eyes open, they gradually shut close with his consciousness slowly drifting away.

Worried and not knowing or expecting to see such a thing happen, Omnis drew closer to the sphere. Yet about a meter or two away from him, in an instant, the darker sphere's body turned from pitch black to a golden light. It was so bright even to the extent that it surpassed the sphere of light that they were on, causing him to shut his eyes. Yet still, it didn't seem to do anything to him, as overwhelming him, Omnis eventually blacked out.

"Omnis?" Floating in a dark space the gray sphere could be seen, his eyes shut, as a voice echoed throughout the space.

"Omnis?" The voice echoed once again, the eyes of the gray sphere twitching this time round. "Omnis?" His eyes flung open upon hearing his name again.

"Did you fall asleep?" He could see a pair of golden eyes looking back at him, belonging to a dark sphere. "Vrabam?"

The dark sphere raised an eyebrow, hearing him mumble his name. "I wouldn't have woken you up, but there's something you really need to see."

'Something... I need to see?' The words resounded in his head, the drowsiness still lingering after waking from the blackout earlier. "What's that?"

"This." Vrabam moved from the way, revealing what was behind him, Omnis's eyes widening in shock at what he could see far off. "It's complete?"

Omnis drew closer towards the soul which hovered in the void, as its appearance was almost exactly like Zlatan's current 30-year-old self. Though he didn't have as much fat on him as before, that wasn't the startling factor. For within and at the centre of his soul was a faint golden light. Yet within it were also two lights which constantly swirled around and didn't mix up, not knowing why they were there in the first place. One of them, was a pure white light while the other was a dark light with a shadowy glow, darker than the void and much more like what he'd seen around Vrabam.

"Was this expected to happen?"

"Of course not," Omnis replied, the lines of light retracting towards the sphere as though the unrefining process was completed, it did take time to unwrap around him.

"I think we'll have to ask Mastar about this," Vrabam stated, now beside the gray sphere.

"We will after the Rebinding Process is done," Omnis stated, turning back towards the seats on top of the sphere of light.

"Rebinding? I thought al— um, why are you looking at me like that?"

"Did you get shiner or I'm losing my eyesight?" Omnis rhetorically questioned, moving side to side to get a better angle of view at him.

"I don't think so, I feel the same. Ino would probably recommend glasses for you." Vrabam said, feeling awkward about how he was looking at him just like Ino did when she found a new toy[specimen].

Then, something came into his mind, recalling what was happening before blanking out earlier. "Why were your eyes darkened when you switched with Ino?"

"Me, eyes… dark?"

"With the dark light around you instead of your golden light." He added up.

"Dark light? Did I become Taint's incarnate or what? Cause I don't even remember coming here."

"I see, I'll check it out inside. You may be right though." Omnis seemed to be in deep thought.

"Eh, what do you mean by may and be right? Hey what, you're going. You can't just say something and leave! Are you even listening to me? Omnis!!"

Within the sphere of light, a cockpit could be seen with various Energy Screen Constructs displayed around with a seat at the centre of it all. Above the seat, a larger line of light dangled around it. Behind the seat, a certain space was there and coming down from above, the retractable seat landed with Omnis getting off it.

Heading for the seat with the holographic screen constructs by it, he got on a certain circular object. The object raising to the height of the lower parts of the seat—

*BAM!

"Ouch, I didn't know it was so far down." Crashing down onto the platform, missing the retractable seat by an inch. Vrabam had hit head first, and soon getting back straight. He looked around in awe as he'd never been there before. "What's this?"

"What you were on top of a few seconds ago." He heard Omnis's voice but couldn't tell where it came from.

"Eh, you're no fun at all— a name would have been a better reply. And where are you anyway?" Vrabam said, his eyes darting around.

"The Sphere Of Light, or simply Omniszoid would do. Sounds better I'd say." The seat turned to face Vrabam as Omnis said, screens floating right before him.

"Now someone's claiming it as his, nice," Vrabam said, a cheeky smile up his face, looking like the moon emoji as he glanced sideways.

"Really, it's mine after all. Mastar's gift to me. How'd you expect to get to Mastar's domain without this and me." Omnis smirked, his eyes moving onto another screen before him.

Relaxing into the retractable seat, he made himself comfortable before asking. "Done with whatever process you were talking about?"

"Returning Zlatan's soul into his body isn't easy peezy like refining and unrefining it. The process is short but with loads of things to be done firsthand."

"Ah, I see. I think someone tried to kill him though, didn't get a good look. Buh—"

"What did you say?" Omnis brows furrowed, unable to believe he had just heard the other say something about Zlatan.

"Um… I kind of saw him being killed I guess— he's already dead so no biggie right."Vrabam grinned widely and innocently.

"You got to be kidding me, he's nowhere near dead. He doesn't have his soul that's all! And why didn't you do something about it?!"

"That wasn't part of the mission, was it?"

"Good heavens, I'm finished. I would probably get killed for this— no, no, no."

"You know you can't die ri—"

"SHUT UP!"
