Chapter 18 - Mergence Begins

"OMNIS!!! Help me! Help meeeeeeee!! Zlatan wants to eat meeee!!" Ino yelled out loudly, her voice so high pitched that the void around her slowly distorted.

"Um, save you from who little one?" Another sphere gray in colour and far smaller than even Ino said, hovering in the void. "Him, can't you see he's holding me?! He tried to eat me once already."

"Actually, nope I can't see that?"

"Wait what? You can't see— ow, what's wrong with him?" Ino realized she was still at her position, not grabbed and almost entering that fascinating specimen, though for other reasons this time round.

Looking up to where Zlatan was, she could see him moving around with his hands stretched out and his movement random. He kept going in here and there without a sense of direction, as if he'd been lost or blinded instead. "Oh, he's lost his sight — same as the other did." Omnis said confirming it being the latter one.

"But he can't make a run for it like the old croaky one did, too bad. He was honestly quite fun." He added, having Ino staring at him with perplexion drawn over her face. "Um, where's Vrabam?"

"Oh, he's actually…actually" The white sphere would have fumbled with her fingers if she had one, as she was hesitant and not sure how her reply would be taken.

"He is actualllllly?"

"Outside, he's outside currently?" Ino stated, her gaze on him awaiting his reaction. His eyes both had different colours, the left golden and the right silver instead. "The world domain?! What's he doing there — is it something Mastar ordered?"

"Yes and No. But why are you so worried about him huh? Hmph?." She pouted, clearly unhappy and jealous of course.

"Really Ino, he's me and I'm him just like you— why wouldn't I be?. What did Mastar assign to you?"

"Fine, orders were to establish a bond on a material item with both I and Vrabam. It should be returned to Mastar thereafter by Vrabam."

"By Vrabam? And how is he supposed to do that when you're both inside a sub-domain?"

"Um, I… um…"

Omnis just stared at her, sizing her up though going through her mind instead. "You don't know what a Sub-domain is. That's understandable, you'll know when you have Omnisiencia with you."

"Whaat, Yeeeeeeeeeeeee." A wide grin stretching from ear to ear if only she had one could be seen on her face, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Now I'd have to relay the new orders to him. The Death Domain had a mission open it required dealing with some rotten cores." Omnis inquired, his tone being of one eager to know about it than his usual self.

Immediately bringing out an energy holographic screen construct floating in the air before her. She mentally brought up a map onto the transparent and three dimensional screen. "Here it is. Renville, Vrabam should have razed it all down by now."

"Everything you say?" Omnis said, seemingly lost in his thoughts. "Mmmhm, everything."

"All two hundred and seventy of them?"

"Not the maths— please not it."

"Gosh, did the Reaper Corps send one of theirs to hand over the mission? They don't usually go on a large scale to the extent of involving an Untainted."

"Untainted?!" Ino's eyes were almost popping out in shock. "What's one doing there. Mastar wouldn't risk them when their so few already. He gave me the mission itself."

"He definitely would, as long as its according to his plans. I've contacted Vrabam, you'll be bonded to the item you told him about." Omnis confirmed, the large sphere of bright light beginning to move towards them.

"Great, he'd better find a good clothe."

"Clothe? Um ookay… let's get this done with already — the mergence must be completed before you're bonded up." Omnis stated, the large sphere now behind him. "Shall we?"

Both spheres approaching the large bright one, it's mouth opened up and following Omnis lead. They disappeared into the large figure, shutting it's mouth after them. Still moving around trying to get a hold of something or anything, four lines shot out from the side their surface wide like a carpet. Heading for Zlatan they wrapped around him with his efforts to fight it futile. For after a while, the cocoon around him unwrapped and retracted to the large sphere. As all that was left of the obese figure was none other than an orb of energy— his pure form.

"Let the mergence begin! The one who devours the other dominates. Let's hope he wins." As Omnis voice was heard, the mouth again opened up with another larger orb emerging.

"He who? Aren't they the same or…"

"Ugh, nevermind."

******************

Behind the guard rail on the roof of the North Wing of the Mansion. A dark figure could be seen seated with its gaze on the southern part. It didn't flinch or make a move, almost seeming like a statue place there.

It didn't blink at all, having the pair of bright golden eyes fixated on the two figures busy on the bed. It stared in awe, unable to perceive what was exactly going on between the two.

'Why are they behaving— so so much like wild beasts? Huh! He's strangling her?!' Vrabam was alarmed, sprouting up on his feet. 'Should I save her? Wait, she– she– she's not fighting back at all.'

"She wouldn't fight back." A voice said, startling him as he arched his back, his hair standing on end with claws out.

"Um." To his side, a gray mouse nibbling on a piece of cheese looked at him in awe. "Did you just, act like a real cat."

"Me? I—"

"Hahahahahaha!! Seriously, hahahaha. Wanna give landing a try now then, hahahaaa— ack, cack bohoo bohoo!" The mouse laughed hard and teased to the extent of falling on the ground, munching his meal at the same time until he chocked on it.

"What do you want Omnis?" Vrabam said coldly, licking his paws as the claws retracted. After all, the mouse's eyes were a dead give away, one gold with the other silver.

"Ahem!" Omnis cleared his throat, a mouse sized glass of water suddenly in his hands as he drank it down also. "Is that the way you welcome yourself?"

"Better not have it said in such a way— just say what you want here already. I have a mission to round up, you of all should know that."

"Literally of course, I'm here about the mission since there's been a change of plans." He continued to nibble on the cheese, one small enough to be finished long ago but wasn't.

"Huh? What, which change?" Vrabam's paws were now down, leaning in curiously to listen.

"You'll be establishing one bond instead of two." Omnis stated, his gaze ahead while looking from the corners of his eyes at Vrabam's reaction.

"Oh, I guess Ino would get to gather all the knowledge, she'd wanted freely then." As expected, he accepted his fate without a second thought. "Mmmhm she will, though she's to be bonded."

"Yeah, you are ri— eh?! You're letting her be there alone."

Slapping his little paw on his forehead, he shook his head not understanding the entity next to him one bit despite being his exact replica. "Soo impossible."
