Happy new year, and welcome to my entry for WSA 2025. This is my first Bl novel, and I'm so excited. This is also my first time writing a Chinese based story, so I'll like to explain some things before you decide to dive into the story.

1. This is a Chinese based fantasy story, but unlike most Chinese fantasy novels which involves cultivation, this one takes a different route—Magic spells.

2. Not everyone can cast spells, only those who possess a spiritual core can practice spells, and those set of people are called Mages. Most of them identify with a special weapon (mostly swords), which helps enhance their spells, and aids the flow/projection of their powers.

3. This story is slow paced. The romance slowly builds up, so you guys are going to starve a lot at the beginning. I promise the story isn't stretched intentionally, and everything written (well, almost everything) is important to the story's plot.

4. Dragon Shifters exist in this story. They are water-dragons who have the ability to take on a human form. These dragons possess powerful scales, but the power of the Dragon scales are only used for one purpose… "soul transfer." The act is deemed as forbidden by the righteous ones.

5. The MC is a big red flag. He is headstrong and unapologetic. I'm not going to dive into the backstory that shaped him into being that way. To find out, you would have to read the story 😜The Ml is equally important to the story, and there would be times when he would be given the spotlight. He is mischievous and stubborn as a mule, but underneath lies a man seeking validation.

Terms used in the story;

1. Transmigrator(s): This is a term used for Mages that succeeded in transferring their souls into another person's body.

2. Spiritual power: This is contained in the spiritual core of a Mage. It is with this spiritual power that Mages can carry out spells. 

3. Dragon Scale ritual: This is process done to transfer one's soul into another body.

4. Crystalized: When the new body of a Transmigrator fights against the Transmigrator's soul, the Transmigrator goes mad with killing intent, and once all spiritual power from the Transmigrator's spiritual core is spent, the Transmigrator becomes crystallized (they turn into an ice-sculpture)
