"Oops..." The little girl whispered and jumped down from Elon's body. A purple light surrounded her instantly and her appearance began to change.
As the purple light enveloped her, the little girl's body began to stretch and contort, her limbs elongating and morphing into those of a mature young woman. Her skin turned a radiant, porcelain-like complexion, and her hair grew longer and darker, cascading down her back like a waterfall of night.
Watching this happening right before their eyes, Elon was shocked beyond words while Klein simply watched, his expression unreadable.
The girl's face underwent the most striking transformation. Her eyes, once bright and innocent, turned a deep, fiery red, with irises that took on the shape of half-moons. Two curved horns, sleek and black as obsidian, sprouted from her forehead, giving her a demonic appearance.
The air around her seemed to vibrate with an eerie energy as she stood up, her new form towering over Elon and Klein. Her voice, once sweet and childlike, now dripped with a sultry, demonic allure.
"Ah, the shackles of innocence are broken," she purred, her eyes gleaming with malevolent intent. "You caused this, Daddy..." She turned, her eyes gleaming with sadness and joy at the same time.
Elon glanced at Klein, his gaze uneasy. They had just unleashed something no one knew. He was scared already but why was Klein not scared? 'His expression is unreadable but I can feel how calm he is... How is this possible? How is he able to remain calm at a time like this'?
"Elon," Klein suddenly called his name, causing him to jolt.
"Y-yes," he replied and turned his attention to him.
"Watch and learn from me because you have a long way to go but if you want to survive in this world, you must put away your ego and be ready to learn from me..."
"What are you mumbling about daddy? Let's play!" Eve said and the air around her suddenly began to thicken. Elon shivered however, Klein remained calm.
"People will always force you to believe what they want you to but it is your choice to believe what you want to... This is one of the things you must learn," Klein told Elon.
Elon's eyes widened in shock as Klein's words hung in the air. What did he mean by "put away your ego" and "learn from me"? Didn't Klein see the demonic creature standing before them?
But as he looked at Klein, he saw no hint of fear or concern. Instead, Klein's expression remained calm and collected, as if he were discussing something mundane.
Eve, on the other hand, grew more agitated by the second. Her eyes flashed with anger, and her horns seemed to grow longer and sharper. "Daddy, why are you ignoring me?" she pouted, her voice dripping with malice.
The air around her began to distort and ripple, as if reality itself was bending to her will. Elon felt a shiver run down his spine as he realized the true extent of Eve's powers.
Klein, however, remained unmoved. He stretched out his arm, summoning his sword, its blade gleaming with an pulsating energy. "You better don't do that," he said, his voice firm but gentle.
Eve's face twisted in a snarl, and she raised her hand, unleashing a blast of dark energy. But Klein was ready. With a swift motion, he raised his sword, and the energy dissipated against its blade.
The force of the blast sent Elon stumbling backward, but Klein stood firm, his eyes locked on Eve. "Do you think your measly power will do anything to me?" He asked her, his voice dripping with discontent. "You want to defeat your daddy?... In your wildest dreams!"
Eve's expression faltered, and for a moment, Elon saw a glimmer of the little girl she once was. But it was quickly replaced by a scowl.
"What can you do, Daddy?" She asked. "Can't a child be better than her father?"
"Not in your current state," Klein mumbled and Eve's eyes widened in shock. "You are far too weak to outpower me."
"Wha—" Eve muttered. 'He called me weak? Wasn't I considered one of the upper rank demons back in my world? I am currently stronger than fifty normal demons combined together and yet, he called me weak! I am a demon, the demon of deception and I know how to deceive, this is how I survived in my place but then... this human was still able to see through my disguise. Does that really mean that I'm weak'?
Elon watched the exchange, his mind reeling. What had just happened? And what was wrong with this boy, Klein. How can he be so powerful and fearless?!
As he watched Klein keenly, Elon realized that Klein was trying to teach him something, to prepare him for a world that was far more complex and dangerous than he had ever imagined.
"Listen, Elon," Klein said and tilted his head towards Elon's direction. "You don't go about trusting anyone you see out there because you know why? They make you see what they want you to believe and once you fall into their trap, boom! Their true colors begin to burst out of them."
Elon shivered as he took in every word Klein spoke. No one has ever told him things like these, they either cursed him or remind him of how much of a useless son he is. He covered his face with the back of his palm as he digested everything Klein said, word by word, letter by letter. And when he was done, he smirked and glanced at Klein.
"I owe you one."
Klein's expression didn't change, but a hint of amusement flickered in his eyes. "You don't owe me anything, Elon," he said, his voice nonchalant. "I'm just stating facts. You can choose to believe them or not."
Eve, who had been watching the exchange with growing impatience, stepped forward. "Daddy, I—" she began, but Klein cut her off.
"Become stronger, Eve," he said, his voice firm but detached. "If you want me to acknowledge you as my daughter, you'll need to prove yourself worthy. Until then, you're just a demon with a false sense of entitlement."
Eve's face twisted in anger, and for a moment, Elon thought she would unleash another blast of dark energy. But then, something seemed to click into place. Her expression smoothed out, and a calculating glint appeared in her eyes.
"Fine," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "I'll become stronger. And when I do, you'll regret underestimating me, Daddy."
Klein's expression didn't change, but Elon sensed a flicker of interest behind his eyes. "I'm looking forward to it," he said, his voice neutral.
The air seemed to vibrate with tension as Eve turned and disappeared into the shadows, leaving Elon and Klein alone once more.
"What just happened?" Elon asked, feeling like he'd just witnessed a pivotal moment in a game he didn't fully understand.
Klein turned to him, his expression unreadable. "Eve has a lot to learn," he said. "But I think she'll make a fine student."
'With her power I can become the most strongest being in this world, that's certain'.
Elon raised an eyebrow, unsure what to make of Klein's enigmatic statement. But before he could ask any more questions, Klein turned and began to walk away. "And as for you," he said. "Make sure to become stronger by the time we meet again."
His words raised a sensation inside Elon's heart and he giggled in response. "And you, don't die out there because I am the only one who will kill you!"
Elon watched as Klein slowly faded away into the darkness, his brows slightly furrowed. He had thought that the two of them will walk together, shoulder by shoulder but it seems fate has other plans for them.
"I am nowhere near you in terms of everything," he muttered and also turned, heading for the opposite direction. "But don't worry, human. I will heed your advice and do what I have to do that when we meet again, you will acknowledge me."
