Chapter 4: The Explanation
Emily's Pov
Liam approached me cautiously, as if he was afraid of scaring me.
"Emily, you're a werewolf," he repeated. "It's a genetic condition, passed down through your family."
I stared at him, trying to process what he was saying.
"But I've never...I've never felt anything like this before," I stammered.
Liam nodded. "That's because you've never gone through a full moon transformation before. It's a rite of passage for werewolves."
I felt a wave of panic wash over me. "What do you mean? What's going to happen to me?"
Liam's expression was calm and reassuring. "You'll be okay, Emily. I'll be here to guide you through it."
But as I looked up at the moon, I couldn't shake the feeling that my life was about to change forever.
