The chaos made the place into an instant battlefield. Though after, the place became a silent. Winds were whooshing and the windows banged opened when they saw that the enemies were slain. The wind was colder as the winter was coming. Autumn leaves were falling carried by the winds and soon after, many doors opened.
Lights from the houses came lighting up one by one. Numerous entities came out of their doors, windows opening one by one.
Kenji was alerted, they brought pitch forks and torches. It seemed the mobs were gathering and were mad.
They one by one attacked the dead cultists and massacred them. The people has their children abducted and others were slain and made into demons. They burned them all and let their anger subsided.
One of them approached him and thanked, "Thank you for killing those bastards. They were a horror in our presence. They abducted by child and since then we could not find her. Please, if you can find her, we will reward you."
"Yeah! Our relatives were slain and young ones were taken. We can't fight them all and we were hopeless. Please help us!" Another one was weeping: a mother. They came to ask for help. With that, Kenji has taken another mission up in his sleeves.
He promised that he will help them. With that, they take him to the tavern. The village was just a small and humble in its size and the people did not have much. The wooden structure was semi dilapidated and it was just a small tavern compared to the city. Though it has a sizable amounts of barrels for drinks.
Kenji went to sit on a candle lit table with a seat that was rickety and was in poor condition. The bar keeper put him drinks and then a leg of roasted turkey to his plate.
Kenji ate and then went to ask, "When did the cultist arrived? And what is the current situation here?"
"Yeah, we are not in a good situation. The cultist arrived since last week. Every night since then, all our young ones and the teens were taken. They left in the darkness of the night without trace." He spoke then a sad sigh was heard. He slammed his fist on the table then grabbed another drink. "We need your help, we will reward you of what we can if you can help us." Spoke the man with a more resolute voice and eyes.
"Okay, I will help. But is there a place that could be a hideout? If their camp was nearby then they could go here every time. Much like a place that could be within a kilometer. A cave or camp that could shelter them in the cold. The camp or village next to us was far far from here so it's not possible to travel that far when they could appear here every night." Kenji concluded.
"Actually, there was a cave nearby. The Docks have that cave that was used as a docking place of boats that has a river inside in the past. At first, it was a hiding place for us in the first Eternal war of Angels and Demons. But it was not a place for good people anymore ever since the we left the place and made a docking place for the trade. We have settled here since then." The bar keeper said to him.
"With that it is settled, I will go there immediately. Thanks for the food." He said to him then left.
You travelled to the cave nearby and then the road was descending towards the bottom side of the village. The road was swerving and slowly descends towards the south. Then a cave was seen and it's mouth was as wide as the village entrance. The river was dark and calm below and has a road on the side. It's mouth could even fit a boat when it wanted to enter inside.
With that, Kenji entered the place and then the cold wind was entering the mouth. Small torches was seen and small voices were heard. It was a palpable feeling that this place was indeed inhabited by those cultists.
Stats Reap was equipped by Kenji and prepared to reap those stats from his enemies. Moving further, he saw a camp of enemies. Tents were seen established and a campfire was in the center. There were a few ups and downs as the camp was established on a hill and the roads were dug beside the mountains.
Imps were dancing near the fire and they were numerous. Tridents held high and they had red skin with a black spear-like tail. Making chants as they praised the Demon god.
Kenji then saw that he has to enter the camp before he will arrive at the burrow falls. Making him think that he has to kill his way through.
Making Kenji think that the camp was established there to have an extra defense against the incoming attack from them.
Kenji then sneaked to observe more. To his surprise, their numbers were a hundred. Even though they were weak overall, their numbers will make up for it.
Kenji then started his onslaught. Enemies then were alerted and he immediately summoned his skeletons. Emerging from the ground they attacked them with their weapons drawn.
They slashed and smashed the imps and they retaliated with remorse. Imps stabbed them with their tridents and then they were battered by it.
They soon followed through and more enemies came to join the fight. With just them, he slaughtered those who were greater in numbers. Bodies fell one by one on their formation.
The enemies then were killed with just a slash of their weapons. A blood bath soon followed. The enemies fought bravely but their courage only brought forth their demise.
Enemies have low health points and so their damage was enough for them to get killed. He soon laid waste to the camp and only blood and corpses were what remained. He reaped several stats from them and was contented.
Soon, he exited the camp. Leading towards the other side of the cavern where the road to the hideout was located.
