Continuing his path. He saw the tomb of the first guardian he would face. It was a tall crypt with a door on the bottom. A wall made of cement and was aged with time.
Red banners were seen fluttering on the side due to the wind blowing with a ripped tip of its fabric. He approached the door and then knocked. The door then opened as Kenji touched it then a voice was heard from the inside.
"Come in necromancer!"
Kenji entered the tomb and he saw the silhouette with brimming blue eyes. He can feel the aura that was emanating from him. Torches then lighted up the vast halls.
Kenji used the Reawaken skill and then approached as he saw him clearer. A tattered robe that was covering his armor inside. A full-plated armor that was endowed with.
"What do you want young necromancer?" he asked in a reverberating voice.
"I came to seek your guidance in these dark times, Guardian of necromancers," Kenji bowed slightly.
"What you seek is a bit difficult to be given. But the darkness is on the move. I can't let it slide to just watch on the sidelines. Tell Dark Lord Xill that we need to revive the God of Creation. That's our only chance to fight these enemies. Also to do that, we need to gather all artifacts. He might know where to find them," he said then let out a sigh.
Kenji then asked another thing, "I also have another thing to ask," Xill wanted you to go inside my soul realm and report to him as he calls you."
The Necromancer guardian then went to scratch his chin, "I can't help in your battle. But! You must prove you are worthy! A test, you need to pass my test,"
He then summoned his skill book and it was brimming with an aura that carried pressure.
"Defeat my underling and you will have the skill Necromancer Skill Forge," after that, he summoned his underling with a spell.
"My pleasure," Kenji replied.
Kenji then drew his big sword and then went ready for the test. It was then with a snap of the finger of the Guardian, everything in view changed.
Only the summon of the guardian and him was left on a battlefield that has many skeletons lying on the ground. The wind was fluttering their robes.
It was that, the enemy raised all the skeletons in the vicinity.
The summon then chuckled, "To receive the skill book of my master, you are forbidden to use all skills of the necromancer and become an ordinary person first. To test how far can you get without it,"
"Oh, I see," Kenji then inhaled a huge amount of air.
"Also, I must know how strong you are because only the strong ones are worthy of inheriting the book," he added.
"This skill was passed down and were made with great care. They were the blood and bones of the passed guardians in the past. Passing it to the unworthy is a great disrespect to our ancestors. You must prove you are worthy of it," he stomped his scythe on the ground. A spell has been used.
Kenji drew his sword and saw the army of skeleton soldiers. He saw them rising from the dead and so he prepared for the worst. Numbered a hundred or more.
Kenji dashed towards the summoner and he was blocked by the skeletons. Kenji slashed with both his swords. Slashing one then elbowed another on the head. Its head was flung from the body and Kenji attacked the others.
One slashed with its sword and he ducked. Making him kick it with a back kick. Kenji then used his martial arts. Kicking their shields and then slashed with his sword to finish them off.
He saw numerous enemies that were still rising from the dead. More were coming towards him. In his thoughts, the enemies that died on the battlefield were his asset. Making it more difficult for Kenji. And Kenji guessed that the enemies lying dead that would come to rise would be nonstop.
And so he chased after the summoner. There's no energy to waste. But still, the enemies blocked his path. More of them were making him busy.
Kenji dashed and hacked them. Slashing the ones that were making him have a hard time.
One skeleton slashed with its sword and Kenji blocked it. Kicking it in the chest then its body shattered.
Another one attacked and he slashed once again. Making the enemy get cleaved in the process. One shrieked and then Kenji slashed its head. Decapitating it on the process. Kenji was attacked on all sides and he rotated with a roundhouse kick. Kicking them all in the process.
He dashed and knee-kicked the ones on the front. Chasing the summoner on the process.
The enemy then chuckled at him. Making him bit his lower lips.
The enemies then clashed with him and he smashed them with his weapon. Kenji then was surrounded and so he charged at the fray and crashed into the bony enemies.
Bang!
He emerged from the piles of bones and then followed suit toward the summoner. Kenji then roared as he slashed toward him. The enemy has a two-handed scythe with him and then he smirked at Kenji.
"Wanna clash with me? Let me play with you first then let you taste a good defeat!" he chuckled.
Kenji attacked him. The enemy then prepared his stance. His weapon was ready to clash with him. Slanted on the back while being held with both hands.
Kenji immediately slashed him and he slashed too in response.
Ting!
Kenji slid his short sword and then attacked with his other weapon. The enemy was fast even with his weapon not suited for defensive maneuvers. Repelling his slash with the pole part of his weapon.
Kenji bit his lower lips, thinking that the enemy was not a simple necromancer.
Kenji then stepped back after the enemy rotated his scythe. Aiming to slash his head off in his attack. Evading the slash, he then threw daggers at him. Making him rotate his scythe to block them all.
He immediately dashed and attacked the enemy. Making the dirt hurled by his steps.
Kenji coordinated his attacks and hacked nonstop. A diagonal slash on the right then a horizontal on the left. Then random slashes were made. All were blocked by the enemy.
The enemy was good at blocking with his weapon and he was able to defend without making a sweat. Only making some slight chuckle at Kenji. Making Kenji bite his lower lips.
"You see, you are weak. You do not possess the quality of an inheritor," He said to him.
"Oh? really?" Kenji muttered.
He then threw his sword at him and he blocked it with his scythe. Right at his face. Making him block his view for a moment.
Ting!
Kenji landed a punch in the face and the opponent stumbled on the ground. He stepped on the weapon of his enemy and then drew his dagger.
"Surrender,"
"Okay," He said to him.
