Chapter 36 - Punishing Barak

"I feel sleepy."

'How can she feel sleepy? How lazy is she, really?' Vlad's beast was disappointed. There's a reason it doesn't like werewolves, and this was one of such reasons - they were too ridiculous.

"Go ahead and sleep," Vlad said and turned to leave.

That instant, Evelyn opened her eyes and scrambled to her feet, wanting to go and find a bed. But before she could, he suddenly halted and without turning back, he ordered, "You won't leave this place until you feel something other than sleeping."

"W– what?" Evelyn was stunned.

Without responding, he resumed walking but Evelyn didn't dare to follow, afraid that disobedience would cause her to be hit. Without her wolf, she won't heal quickly, and the pain might be unbearable.

"What am I supposed to feel?" she threw the question at him.

"Anything but sleep coursing through you."
