Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Allen took out the quest paper and showed it to the Guild Master. Makarov glanced at the request and began reading aloud:

Monster Extermination

Rank: C

Task: Clear the nearby cave of aggressive goblins that have been terrorizing local farms.

Reward: 45,000 Jewels

"Okay, but be careful," Makarov advised. "Even though goblins are low-level monsters, anything can happen on a mission."

Cana Alberona approached seductively, her usual charm on full display. "Hey, New Guy, how about I join you on this one?" she suggested, her tone playful.

Allen, unsure how to respond, looked over to Makarov for guidance.

Makarov coughed, clearing his throat. "Well, Allen, even though she acts like this, don't underestimate her. She completes her quests with high ratings. Sure, her behavior is a bit... unorthodox and sometimes causes trouble during missions, but her quick thinking and sense of responsibility are top-notch in the Guild.

Cana had a faint blush on her face, but she placed her hand on Allen's shoulder and said, "Let's go, New Guy." Without giving him a chance to respond, she dragged him out of the guild.

Maria looked toward the Guild Master and asked, "Master Makarov, is it really alright to let him go with her? After all, she's never worked with anyone before, especially since Allen is new to the guild. Hmm!"

Makarov glanced at her and chuckled. "That kid Allen is already quite popular, and it's only been one day since he joined." He laughed a little and continued, "Not only has he caught Levy's attention, but it seems our little Maria has taken a liking to him after just a few conversations. And now it seems Cana has taken some interest in him too. Reminds me of my younger days."

Maria blushed slightly at his teasing words.

You don't have to worry," Makarov said reassuringly. "Even though Cana has her drinking habits and somewhat laid-back attitude, when a guild companion's life is on the line, she wouldn't hesitate to abandon anything to save them. She's just like you and the other children of my guild,"and you know her better Right. he added with a laugh.

Mirajane said nothing after hearing the Master's words, silently agreeing with him while touching the diamond rose Allen had given her a few minutes ago.

Just after Allen and Cana walked out of the Fairy Tail Guild, they began heading silently toward the location of their quest. As they walked, Allen tried to say something but hesitated, unable to open his mouth.

Noticing this, Cana sighed and said, "Hey, New Guy, just say it. Don't act like that."

Allen glanced at her and replied, "Just call me Allen, okay, Miss Cana? It's just... I wanted to ask why you decided to take this mission with me. I'm just curious, nothing much."

Cana placed both her hands behind her head, turned her face to his side, and said, "Nothing much, it's just related to my magic."

Allen raised an eyebrow in curiosity. Cana reached into the small purse hanging from her side and summoned her magic cards. Showing them to him, she continued, "This is a type of Holder Magic, which revolves around the use of Magic Cards. These cards can produce a variety of effects, such as generating both abiotic and biotic things. I use them for both offense and defense."

She paused for a moment before adding with a smirk, "That's not all. I'm also capable of reading fortunes—other people's, of course."

This caught his attention, and she continued, "This morning, I was checking fortunes, and I saw a good luck sign connected to you. If I go with you, something might happen that could make my life pretty interesting. So, I decided to give it a try. And stop calling me 'Miss,' okay? Just 'Cana' is fine."

Allen asked her, "So, Cana, did you see anything else about my future?"

Suddenly, a mischievous smile appeared on her face as she said, "Well, Mr. Handsome Newcomer, your life is going to be very interesting. You'll be surrounded by women and have lots of children in the future... with different women."

Allen was taken aback after hearing this, his face showing a mix of shock and disbelief. Then he noticed Cana laughing at his reaction. Realizing he had been pranked, he said, "Cana, you almost got me there."

"Well, your reaction was pretty good, Allen," Cana replied, laughing lightly. She placed her hand on his shoulder, and Allen couldn't help but felt the softness of Boobies . Feeling a bit flustered, he tried to compose himself, but Cana, noticing his reaction, smirked and began teasing him again.

"So, a handsome guy finds me attractive? Not only do you have an unusual relationship with Levy and flirt with Mirajane this morning in the guild, but now you're trying your luck with me too?" Cana said jokingly.

Allen was about to deny Cana's claim about him flirting with Mirajane, but before he could say anything, he heard cursing and noticed jealous glares directed at them from passersby.

Passerby 1: "Tch, what's so special about him? Why does Cana pick the new guy?"

Passerby 2: "Lucky bastard! Walking around with Cana like that—he doesn't even deserve it!"

Passerby 3: "I swear, this newcomer gets all the attention. First Levy, now Cana? What's next?"

Passerby 4: "Ugh, it's always the same. A pretty boy shows up, and suddenly the girls are all over him."

Cana smirked, clearly amused by the reactions, while Allen felt the tension rising around him. Without thinking, he quickly grabbed her hand and started running, pulling her along. Cana laughed a little, recalling the last time she had this much fun. With Allen around her, she felt like her life might become more interesting.

Two hours later, he and Cana arrived at the farmland. Along the way, it wasn't comfortable—after all, Cana had been teasing him and hugging him, which made it hard for him to control himself and not give in to his urges. But somehow, he managed to keep himself in check.

A middle-aged man named Jack approached them, looking in a rather bad mood. Nevertheless, he greeted them politely. "So, you two are the ones who accepted my request, right?"

Allen and Cana nodded in response. Jack sighed and continued, "You've come at the right time. Those goblins have made it pretty tough for me to work on the farm."

Cana's expression became serious as she turned to Jack and said, "Don't worry, we're here to help. Goblins won't be a problem for us."

Allen was taken aback by the change in her behavior but chose to stay quiet, observing how she interacted with the client. After all, this was his first time doing a guild mission.

They followed Jack, who was leading them to the area of his farm where the goblins were causing trouble. Upon arriving Two' of them saw gobling destroying or stealing the Corp of the Farm and workers try to stop them.

Jack looked at the scene with frustration and anxiety etched on his face. Sensing the urgency, Cana didn't waste a moment. She signaled to him to follow her and led the charge against the goblins.

Cana's movements were fast and graceful as she summoned her deck of magical cards. With a swift leap into the air, she tossed a card toward the goblins, shouting, "Card Magic: Binding!"

The card glowed brightly as roots erupted from it, snaking out to bind a group of goblins. The creatures struggled in the tight grip of the enchanted vines, unable to escape.

Allen, not far behind, drew his gun. With precise focus, he aimed and pulled the trigger.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Each shot hit its mark, sending goblins toppling to the ground, their bodies flashing with magical energy from the impact.

The sound of rapid gunfire caught the attention of the remaining goblins, who, now furious, began surrounding the duo, snarling and preparing to attack aggressively.

Despite the growing number of goblins, Cana and Allen remained calm, each displaying their own confidence in battle. Cana grinned at Allen and said, "You're pretty good, Allen."

Allen gave a smirk in return, his eyes focused on the goblins closing in. "Same to you," he replied coolly.

The two of them exchanged a brief smile before diving back into the fight.

A goblin, in desperation, hurled a spear at Allen, but with ease, he sidestepped the projectile, his movements fluid and precise. Without missing a beat, he spun around, delivering a powerful kick to the goblin that was sneaking up behind him, sending it crashing to the ground.

In a blur of motion, Allen launched himself into the air, performing an acrobatic flying kick that struck another goblin in midair, knocking it backward. As he descended, he fired another round from his gun, hitting yet another goblin square in the chest, its body bursting into a flash of magical energy.

Meanwhile, Cana stood her ground, her eyes gleaming with excitement as she summoned two imposing knights from her deck of cards. The knights, massive and armored, strode forward with brutal efficiency, cutting down goblins with their powerful swords.

Cana didn't stop there—she quickly drew another card, her fingers moving with practiced speed. "Thunder Strike!" she yelled, casting the spell with a flourish. A massive bolt of lightning shot from the card, crashing down on a group of goblins. The electric surge sent them flying, their bodies writhing in the aftermath of the shock, leaving only the sizzling remains.

Allen and Cana were like a whirlwind of destruction, working together to overwhelm the goblins. As Allen fired precise shots from his gun, Cana's knights swept through the battlefield, their swords flashing as they cut down enemies. The ground shook with each strike of lightning and each mighty blow of the knights.

The goblins, once confident in their numbers, were now overwhelmed. One by one, they fell before the might of the two powerful mage, the battlefield littered with defeated creatures.

After defeating the goblins, Allen and Cana high-fived each other, both grinning from the excitement of the battle.

Cana chuckled and said, "Hey, new guy, I didn't expect you to be this good! It was pretty fun fighting alongside you."

Allen shook his head with a smile and replied, "It was fun defeating the goblins with you too, but it seems like we might've overdone it." He gestured toward the aftermath of their battle—the farm was in complete chaos, the once-pristine fields now completely destroyed.

Jack, having seen the damage to his farm, stood frozen, his expression one of utter disbelief.

Cana bit her tongue, looking a bit sheepish, which only made her seem more adorable to Allen. "In my excitement, I forgot to restrain myself. Looks like the reward money might be halved after this

She shrugged, clearly not too worried about the consequences, as if it were a common occurrence for her.

Now Allen understood why the Fairy Tail Guild had such a reputation for being troublesome. He sighed and said, "Well, at least you can remove the goblins' bodies so I can fix the farm field."

Cana blinked in surprise. "Huh? You can fix that?"

Allen nodded.

Cana didn't ask any more questions. She quickly summoned a few soldiers and gave them the order to remove the goblins' bodies from the field. After all, she felt guilty for the destruction they had caused, and she was also curious about how Allen planned to fix the farm. Repairing the fields would usually take at least one to two months.
