Chapter 14 - Popular with Girls?

"What did you say, brat?" Suddenly, the instructor appeared in front of Leon, looking at him with a fierce gaze.

"I read it all already," Leon casually shrugged off. He had already learned about this world; there was no such thing as superstition in the kingdom. All of them were warriors at heart, and geniuses were only revered here.

So, there was no reason to hide his abilities.

"Really? Then tell me about page fifty, stanza sixty-nine."

"Page fifty, stanza sixty-nine: You only get one chance to create the heart of the warrior; if you fail, then it is a guaranteed death," Leon spoke attentively.

"This…" The instructor was stunned as he took out the book, and it was exactly the same.

"Tell me about page twenty, stanza one then."

"For building the foundation of the body, you can use numerous herbs, such as purple-tailed grass combined with imp blood to strengthen the muscles. For tendons, fire-ice grass can be used by diluting it with…"

Leon spoke at length, each sentence exuding such confidence that it compelled people to believe him. His unwavering gaze met the instructor's eyes.

Even if he had been lying, his sheer confidence could have convinced anyone—but he wasn't lying. The instructor had already verified his words.

"You truly know it all," the instructor said, his tone laced with disbelief. Standing before him was a five-year-old child, far younger than the other students, who were at least eight to ten. Yet…

"This isn't what you'd call genius. This is simply a monster."

His heart trembled, but he forced a faint expression of disdain onto his face. "You got lucky, kid. But don't think you're anything special. The school's out of time, so you all can leave."

"Yes," Leon replied, bowing respectfully. As the children began to leave, Leon walked toward the school gates. However, upon reaching them, he froze in place, stunned.

A row of women had completely surrounded him, almost overwhelming him with their presence.

"What are they doing?" he muttered, his brows knitting together in confusion.

"Leon, could you please teach us the method to establish the warrior's heart?" one of the shy girls asked, her fingers fidgeting nervously.

"No, Leon, teach me instead! I'll give you homemade chicken nuggets," another voice chimed in eagerly.

"You're not worthy of Leon! He'll teach me instead," another retorted, her tone filled with conviction.

The crowd of girls erupted into a fierce argument, their voices clashing like a heated debate, leaving Leon utterly speechless.

"You girls aren't even asking me," he muttered under his breath. Before he could think further, he felt a firm tug on his collar, and in an instant, Leon was dragged away through the group.

He could have resisted, but he chose not to, recognizing the familiar gleam of golden hair.

"Let's go, Leon," Tina smirked, swiftly pulling him along by his collar.

The herd of girls was so engrossed in their argument that they didn't even notice Leon's absence.

Tina sprinted through the gates without pause, heading straight to where Fatty was waiting.

"I've finally brought him!" Tina announced with excitement, raising her hand triumphantly while still gripping Leon's collar. With a quick flick of her wrist, she sent Leon soaring into the air.

However, Leon masterfully controlled his body mid-air, performing a graceful backflip before landing with an elegant demeanor.

"Oops." Tina stuck out her tongue playfully. "Sorry."

'How strong is this brat!?'

Leon straightened his collar and dusted off the slight dirt on his clothes. "It's alright."

"Let's go."

"Leon, please teach us too," Tina said, tugging at his sleeve with a sly smile.

He glanced back at her and shook his head lightly. "Alright, I'll teach you what I can as we head home. What you manage to understand will be up to you."

"Thank you, Leon."

Both Fatty and Tina's faces lit up, their ears practically perking as they leaned in to listen intently to Leon.

By the time Leon arrived home, the cold moon hung high in the sky, casting its pale glow. He stepped inside the house, weary but composed.

The moment he entered, his mother wrapped him in a tight hug, her smile brighter than the sun.

"What are you doing, Mom?" Leon asked, his face tinged with a bit of embarrassment.

"My son, how was school?" she asked gently, her voice warm and comforting.

"It was good," Leon replied, his tone carrying a hint of pride. "We finally learned the method to establish the Warrior's Heart in school, and I already understood it all."

He couldn't help but feel a swell of satisfaction as he spoke, proud to share his achievement.

"You're the best, Leon." She chuckled softly, her voice light and affectionate, before heading to the kitchen. She didn't take Leon's words seriously—it seemed impossible in her comprehension.

"What would you like to eat, Leon? How about fish and chips or chicken nuggets?"

"That sounds great," Leon replied, settling into his chair.

After eating to his heart's content, he returned to his room to gather his thoughts.

"Hmm, these yellow bubbles are slowly reducing, becoming less and less frequent." That was his first thought as he sat down, his expression thoughtful.

Every time he pushed the limits of his body, these yellow bubbles would appear, filling the gem-like object nestled in the core of his body.

But now, he noticed the yellow bubbles were appearing far less frequently than before. Even the red and orange ones had become rare. The heat that used to seep from the base of his spine, gradually strengthening his body, had vanished completely—he couldn't feel it at all anymore.

"Hmm?" Leon murmured, his brows furrowing as he slowly closed his eyes to examine his body.

At the center of his being, the crystal that had finally fully materialized glowed faintly. Numerous root-like extensions radiated outward from the crystal, spreading through his body like a network of veins.

A considerable amount of power had accumulated inside the crystal over time, its energy shimmering in hues of yellow. Despite this, Leon had no idea what to do with the stored energy or how to use it effectively.

"These things seem to be related to chakras," Leon mused to himself. "Let's not call them bubbles anymore. From now on, I'll call them chakra."

With that decision, Leon sat cross-legged, his posture steady and composed, as he focused his mind on the yellow chakra stored within the crystal.
