A figure was walking down the hall with a concerned look on his face.
Xie Yue had just returned back to Spirit City from a place he considered literal hell. The only thing he could think about at that time was how his sister was doing. She, unlike him and Yan, decided to go to Slaughter City. Every since he was young, he made a promise to protect his little sister no matter what.
After awakening his martial soul and being considered a genius, he became arrogant. His arrogance had led him to believe that no one could match them. Then Tang Zhen came along and shattered the definition of what a genius was. The resulting failure had led his sister to choose the path to Slaughter City and the guilt ate at him.
Finally returning, he was happy that she was alive. Xie Yue knew in his heart though that even if he was considered a genius, he was far behind his sister and he had no problem with that. As an older brother, he just wanted her to live her best life and shine brightly and he would carve a path for her.
There were many cases of young men coming to try and court her for her beauty and status which he chased away. He only allowed Yan to pursue his sister because he was a good friend from childhood but if it bothered Bibi Dong, he would put a stop to it.
Being an overprotective brother was tiring work. But that also gave him an advantage regarding her such as the case now. Xie Yue had noticed that Bibi Dong, for quite a while, had been distracted by something. Although he didn't know what it was at first, he had an idea when he caught her staring at a bracelet he had never seen before and by the way she treasured a certain pair of shoes.
One time her long term servant touched those shoes while cleaning. Xie Yue remembered walking into her room hearing a commotion to find Bibi Dong with her Death God Domain activated.
At first Xie Yue thought that her heinous spirit was taking over and tried to calm her. Only to hear Bibi Dong dismiss her long time servant from her duties for good and walk over to the shoes holding them with a smile on her face. The same smile she showed when she stared and played with her bracelet.
It was completely new to him. Being orphans they never had anything and everything from the clothes that they wore to the food they ate belonged to the Martial Soul Hall. But those two were exclusively hers. As to where she got them, she wouldn't say.
As he got to her door and knocked, the wait before she answered was excruciatingly long. After what felt like an eternity she opened her door.
"Brother what brings you here?" She said curiously.
Swallowing his saliva, he tried to speak but the words died in his mouth.
"Brother?" She pressed on.
Finally, he managed to get out the words.
"Dong'er, Her Holiness is asking for you." He said.
Nodding, she got dressed and came back out. Before she could leave, Xie Yue grabbed her arm.
"Dong'er, you have been acting strangely and Her Holiness has noticed. Be prepared for anything." He warned.
"....Mhm. Thank you brother." She said as she walked away.
Bibi Dong was lost in thought. She had to admit, she was acting differently since she came back. Not the way her teacher expected with the Death God Domain. Hu Liena expected Bibi Dong to spend the past year trying to control her heinous spirit. Instead she was stunned to find it under control but noticed her change in attitude. Even her brother noticed something. Every time she became nervous or sad, she had a habit of touching and twisting the bracelet that Tang Zhen had given her. She had yet to find what she wanted to do in life like Tang Zhen had asked. The only thing she was certain of was that whatever she did, she wanted to do it with Tang Zhen next to her.
A year....it feels so long ago.
As she walked into the Pope's Hall, she saw her teacher sitting on her throne with her legs crossed and the scepter in her hand.
Hu Liena, seeing her disciple walk in stared at her. She had been acting oddly. Not like Hu Liena did when she came back with her Death God Domain. Unlike her, Bibi Dong's heinous spirit seemed to be under control. How did she do it? She mused.
"Disciple greets her teacher." Bibi Dong said softly.
Hu Liena stared at her. Although she loved her like a daughter, for some reason she felt a surge of jealousy in her heart. Her disciple was more beautiful than her and just as, if not, more talented. On top of that, her martial soul, the Azure Dream Dragon was beautiful. Hu Liena's twin martial souls were based on spiders and her true martial soul form was hideous hence why she seldom used it. Coming out of her thoughts, she focused back on Bibi Dong.
"Dong'er what's been on your mind? You have been distracted lately." Hu Liena asked.
Bibi Dong started to play with her bracelet again which Hu Liena noticed. She narrowed her eyes and asked coldly.
"Bibi Dong. Who gave you that bracelet?"
"I.....I-it was a gift, teacher, from.....someone important to me." She said softly.
"...Is it a man? Is he from out Martial Soul Hall?"
"....Yes. No he is not."
Hu Liena frowned. Although she wanted Bibi Dong to find someone worthy as her partner, she wanted them to be from the Martial Soul Hall. At least that way, Hu Liena could keep a watch over him.
"Who is he?" Hu Liena asked.
".....It's Tang Zhen."
Hu Liena's Death God Domain activated as she put pressure down on Bibi Dong.
"Dong'er, I am disappointed. I admit that he is a good looking boy. But he is not part of our Martial Soul Hall. Forget about him. I heard Yan has feelings for you, he is a much better choice for you and the Martial Soul Hall."
Bibi Dong couldn't take it anymore and released her Death God Domain slightly pushing back.
Hu Liena was stunned. Her disciple dared to go against her?
"Teacher.....I love Tang Zhen, and he loves me. He is not an enemy at least to me." Bibi Dong retorted.
".....You are dismissed." Hu Liena said coldly as she turned around.
Bibi Dong not wasting time, turned on her heels and stormed out. As the doors closed, Hu Liena turned around and glared where the doors were. Dark thoughts swirling around her head.
Xie Yue who was standing by the door, jumped as the door flung open almost hitting him. His sister was gone like the wind. He chased after her, this was the first time he had seen her like this coming out after meeting with the pope. He caught her before she could enter her room.
"Dong'er what is going on? What happened in there?" He asked.
"...It's best to tell you in private, come in." She let him in.
As they got settled at a table in the corner of her room, Bibi Dong brewed tea for the both of them and they took a few sips to ease the tension in the air.
Bibi Dong told her brother everything that happened in Slaughter City. From the meeting of Tang Zhen, to the fact that he had a feud with the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan and the Haotian Clan but she refused to tell him the reason as that was a secret that only Tang Zhen could tell and she refused to tell anyone that without his consent. She then went on to talk about the deal that they made about working together to complete Hell Road together.
"Wait, so you're telling me not only did you meet Tang Zhen in Slaughter City, but you BOTH completed Hell Road and he also has the Death God Domain?" Xie Yue asked incredulously.
"Actually, I didn't do anything. My heinous spirit at the time was going out of control when we were so close to the Nether that he used a special ability to protect us. He brought me out by himself while I focused on controlling my heinous spirit." She said with a slight blush remembering how he held her.
As the story of her adventure concluded, Xie Yue, rather than feeling angry was rather happy for his sister. Although their team had lost to the Tyrant Empress team and Tang Zhen was a big factor in that during the competition a few years back, aside from the bitter feeling of losing, there was no animosity between the two groups. To hear that someone liked his sister for who she was and not for her position or beauty was someone he could respect. Even his good friend Yan was drawn to her beauty mostly but he tolerated it due to their close relationship.
Xie Yue left the room to return to his and rest. He was a a little dazed as to what he heard but he had to train harder to test this guy once again to see if he is strong enough to protect his sister. He wasn't overprotective at all, at least not in his eyes.
Hiding in the shadows, Ghost Douluo was stunned by what he overheard. He had known Bibi Dong for a long time and she even called him Grandpa Ghost affectionately which he really liked. However, what he had heard was hard for him to accept.
Bibi Dong was willing to give up her position as Holy Maiden if what she wanted to do in the future was not something that the Martial Soul Hall approved of. He left to report this to Her Holiness.
Back in the throne room, Hu Liena was furious, her own disciple was in love with a man that could be a threat to the Martial Soul Hall. If it wasn't for Tang Hao appearing at the last minute, she would have asked him to submit to the Martial Soul Hall right then and there or be killed images be damned. He was too much of a wildcard to be left alone.
"However Your Holiness, please don't be hasty. Dong'er has not said what it is she wishes to do in the future. It could be a sense of feeling trapped. She has not been outside since being taken under your guidance. Perhaps it would be better if she is allowed to roam outside under guard to get some fresh air and even mingle among the people." Ghost Douluo shared his thoughts.
Hu Liena thought of this and agreed that perhaps this thought process was because of the fact her day was only filled with training, politics, theory, and rinse and repeat. It was bound to be suffocating so she agreed to let her travel outside the main palace to roam the rest of Spirit City should she wish it.
The next morning, Ghost Douluo went to see Bibi Dong and told her of the new idea and that her teacher had approved it. Bibi Dong was so happy she gave him a big hug and went back into her room to get dressed.
Seeing her reaction, Ghost Douluo seemed more certain that she was just cracking under the pressure of being in the palace all the time.
Bibi Dong rushed to the market street with the guards of the Soul Hall and Xie Yue behind her. Many people were looking at her stunned to see such a beautiful woman and seeing that she had guards, they figured that she was an extremely important figure and all made way for her.
"MAKE WAY FOR THE HOLY MAIDEN!" One of the guards yelled.
As soon as those words were spoken, no one moved, in fact, everyone stopped doing what they were doing and all turned to stare at her. When Bibi Dong looked around, she didn't see anything but fear in their eyes. Then a ball was kicked towards her, bumping against her leg, as she looked to see where it came from, a group of children about the same age as she was when she was taken in by the Soul Hall came running before one of the guards hit the boy rushing towards the ball with the butt of his spear.
"WATCH WHERE YOU ARE GOING BRAT! YOU DARE APPROACH THE HOLY MAIDEN?" He roared. The children once again hearing this had a look of absolute terror in their eyes and started crying as they knelt before her and begged for forgiveness. Bibi Dong tried to rush to help the downed boy before a girl next to him got up and blocked her path.
"STAY BACK! I WON'T LET YOU HURT MY BROTHER!" The little girl yelled.
Bibi Dong froze with a look of horror. She saw herself in the little girl when her brother once got caught stealing food from a stall and the owner nearly beat him to death.
Seeing the scary woman in front of her not moving, the little girl quickly went over to her brother and helped him up.
Bibi Dong could see they were most likely orphans. The signs were all there, torn clothes, the malnutrition, caked in dirt, and bruises all over their arms and legs.
Xie Yue walked up to his sister after scolding the guard that hit the boy.
"Dong'er....."
"Brother, please follow those children and pay for medical treatment at the healing hall and give them the rest of this money." Bibi Dong handed over her monthly allowance of soul coins.
Xie Yue grabbed the bag from her before leaving to find where those children had gone.
Bibi Dong swiftly turned around and told the guards they are returning to the palace.
A while later, Bibi Dong was sitting in an open courtyard drinking tea to calm herself when she heard someone approaching. Turning around she saw Xie Yue with a grim expression on his face as he walked up to her and placed the bag of soul coins she gave him back on the table.
"Why are you bringing this back? Were you not able to find them brother?" Bibi Dong asked.
Xie Yue didn't say anything for a while.
"Dong'er.....they refused to accept the coins." He said finally.
"Why?"
This time he stayed silent. Getting irritated, Bibi Dong pressed the issue and he finally caved. Perhaps it was better to tell her the truth.
"*Sigh* They said that didn't want the any of the filthy money you give out."
Hearing those words, Bibi Dong slowly got up and walked over to hug Xie Yue before bursting into tears. She cried for a long time. Was the reputation of the Soul Hall not what she thought? She was in her own bubble up in the comfortable palace away from what the world was truly like.
"Is this how the people of our own city see us brother? As tyrants?"
Xie Yue just stood there trying to comfort her. He knew that the lower part of the city did not see them in a positive light. Although the Martial Soul Hall did help people with awakening their martial souls, it wasn't just out of the goodness of their hearts. It was to recruit talents directly into their forces. Still, what power doesn't do that? He thought that was a reasonable thing to do. The one thing that really bothered him was the fact that the higher ups would make people choose to join the Martial Soul Hall, or they would be killed to prevent threats from arising in the future.
For non-soul masters it was worse. He found that they would lend money to those in need and if they could not pay it back, they would be dragged to the slums of Spirit City to work off their debts. He was just thankful that his sister didn't see that part of the city.
Suddenly the door was burst open and Ghost Douluo came in and said that the pope needed to see her.
In the throne room, Hu Liena was staring at Bibi Dong with cold eyes.
"Bibi Dong, I heard someone made a fool out of you today in the city. Why were they not punished?"
"Teacher, they were just children and no harm was done." Bibi Dong said incredulously.
"And? They insulted the authority of the Martial Soul Hall in our own city. You represent the Martial Soul Hall. I am disappointed in you. From now on, you are to be locked in your room until I say otherwise. Take her." Hu Liena said.
Bibi Dong was stunned. Her teacher was confining her? Soon the guards arrived and left her in her room.
Bibi Dong walked over to the window staring at the night sky. The only thing she could think about was Tang Zhen. How was he? Bibi Dong stared at the bracelet before taking out the Jade Token. Then she put it away, she couldn't use it now. She wasn't in danger, but she now knew what she wanted. She wanted to help people. She couldn't help but think back to the day they spent at the festival and the people laughing and dancing.
Growing determined, she sat on her bed and started meditating, she needed to get stronger.
Back in the throne room Hu Liena shot up out of her seat.
"Are you certain? How is that possible?" She asked in disbelief.
"I am sure Your Holiness, I was at a loss myself but it was definitely her. The strange thing was I saw no fluctuation in her aura. In fact I couldn't sense it at all. But she was walking to the Star Dou Forest perhaps back to her home?" Ju Douluo said.
Ju Hua Guan was out to the Heaven Dou Empire to carry on a mission for the Martial Soul Hall when he came across someone that almost gave him a heart attack.
"How is that rabbit still alive? She became my soul ring..." Hu Liena wondered.
Hu Liena wondered if she killed the beast again would another ring appear? How interesting.
"Take a group of 20 comprised of soul douluos and soul saints and take Xie Yue, Yan, and Bibi Dong with you. Bring her to me alive." Hu Liena said darkly.
"Yes, Your Holiness." Ju Douluo nodded at Ghost Douluo before he turned back to Hu Liena.
"Hmm? Yue Guan, do you have something else?"
"....Yes, Your Holiness, I saw the girls from the Tyrant Empress team. Although I didn't see Tang Zhen with them, we may have a problem." He replied.
Hu Liena gestured for him to continue.
"The lowest level among them, the auxiliary type girls are at level 69. While there are two others that have reached level 77." He said seriously.
Hu Liena scowled. Xie Yue and Yan were only approaching level 60 while her direct disciple Bibi Dong was at level 69, the same level as the auxiliary soul masters of the other team. How embarrassing.
"Yue Guan, Gui Mei.....Give the order. If the golden generation doesn't perform this time, you are to cancel the hunt and kill them in the forest. Do you understand?" Hu Liena said seriously.
Ju Douluo and Ghost Douluo were stunned. Kill her own disciple? They looked at each other to make sure they heard right.
"Did you not hear me?" Hu Liena said annoyed.
"Your Holiness.....are you serious about this? Even if they are demoted to the ranks of the lower soul masters, they are still useful. It seems like a waste to just kill them." Ghost Douluo asked.
"The whole world knows who they are. We told the world that they were the geniuses of the era and even hosted the Continental Soul Master Elite Tournament here and they lost. Now you're telling me that they're level is lower than auxiliary soul masters who are even younger than them? It is unacceptable." Hu Liena said with an odd look on her face.
Having no choice, the two saluted her and left.
Hu Liena was there alone, her mind was slowly deteriorating.
"They're all useless. Just fodder compared to my goal of ruling this continent. If they are of no use to me, then I no longer see the need to waste time with them. After all, you can only count on yourself in this world. Qian Xunji watch how I tear down your beloved Martial Soul Hall and build a new one in my own image."
-Star Dou Forest-
The members of the Golden Generation were seated by a fire together. The three of them were wondering what they were doing here. According to what the elders said, they were there to hunt for a 100,000 year soul beast. They were way too weak to fight against something like that. The only thing that eased them was the presence of the two elders and the team of soul masters that came along. All of them were above level 70.
"Xie Yue, do you know why we were brought along?" Yan asked.
"No, I'm not sure why we were brought along for this operation but we must be on guard and we must also perform." He said seriously.
Bibi Dong was lost in her own thoughts. She was remembering the time she spent with Tang Zhen in the forest, staring at the moon, sitting by the fire and eating food. Those quiet and tranquil moments that seemed like so long ago.
Ju Douluo came in and said that it was time. The hunting team left for the interior of the Star Dou Forest.
At another part of the forest, two figures were walking together holding hands. Ah Rou (Xiao Wu's mother), still looking young and beautiful with a mature elegance was walking with her head on the shoulder of the man next to her with a content smile.
The man in question with a sharp face free of facial hair and neatly cut hair streaked with silver pushed up his glasses and leaned his head on hers.
Over the year, Flender and Ah Rou had gotten together. How? Although Ah Rou never got her cultivation back and is now a normal human civilian, she retained her instincts as a 100,000 year soul beast. The moment she saw him, she could tell that the man had a very benevolent heart and was instantly drawn to him.
After a couple of months, she saw that he had some quirks like an odd obsession with money. But who doesn't have some flaws? What really drew them together was Flender got drunk one evening and was talking to himself how he had let go of Liu Erlong for Yu Xiaogang years ago and then again when she ended up with Tang Zhen. He was mumbling about how as long as she was happy, he would be too.
Ah Rou was curious how that came to be and asked Liu Erlong. The more and more she became interested in finding out about him. Liu Erlong with a keen eye saw this and set them up on a date forcing Flender to clean himself up. Reluctant at first, Flender saw Ah Rou and was stunned by the beautiful woman. They had a nice date which led to another, and then another.
Finally after three months of going on dates, Flender opened up to her about his deepest feelings, about Liu Erlong, about how he thought that he would stay single for the rest of his life and just teach the next generation hoping to die in a peaceful countryside.
Ah Rou told him how her ex-husband left her to go into the inner core of the Star Dou Forest and never came back despite her wishes. He abandoned her and Xiao Wu.
Not long after Flender asked her to be his partner and she agreed. Liu Erlong and Xiao Wu were the happiest obviously. As a result, Ah Rou took Flender to meet Da Ming and Er Ming who were also happy that their Aunt Rou now had a partner as well.
They were spending time together by the water when suddenly Flender stood up scaring Ah Rou.
A group of people appeared from the forest. He noticed a couple of them but the most concerning were the two Titled Douluos.
Everyone was stunned to see the King of the Forest.
"Damn it, amongst all the Titled Douluos, Tang Hao was the only one able to beat the Titan Giant Ape ." Ghost Douluo thought.
"The Titan Giant Ape...Is that Er Ming?" Bibi Dong thought. She had heard about him from Tang Zhen before and was in awe.
"Lord Ju, Lord Ghost, what brings you to this part of the forest?" Flender asked cautiously.
"Hmm? Flender, why are you here?" He asked in genuine confusion.
"I am merely out for a stroll Lord Ghost." Flender responded. He hoped that by being polite, they would let him and Ah Rou leave. Although regretful, he knew that at least Da Ming and Er Ming could handle themselves for a while but Ah Rou was now a normal human with no way to protect herself.
"Quite a bit far into the forest for a simple stroll isn't it?" Ghost Douluo said. Then he saw Ah Rou behind him.
"I see...Tell me you beast, how are you alive? We killed you. But no matter, we will just take you back to the Martial Soul Hall and kill you again later. Maybe Her Holiness can gain another soul ring from you. Take her." He commanded.
Flender hearing this got angry and prepared to confront them.
"Flender! Take Aunt Rou out of the forest and ask for help! I will hold them off!" Er Ming said.
Hearing this, Flender nodded at him before activating his Martial Soul Form and scooped Ah Rou before flying off into the forest at high speeds.
"Where do you think you're going!" Ghost Douluo lunged at them and he was about to catch Flender as he was about to take off. Suddenly, Ghost Douluo and the rest of the Martial Soul Hall group were flattened to the ground as Er Ming slammed his fists down activating his Gravity Press.
Seeing his target escaping, Ghost Douluo tried to activate his Martial Soul Form before he was sucked up into the air in front of Er Ming and was sent flying by his massive fist.
"OLD GHOST! GO TO HELL!" Ju Douluo tried to release his soul skill before a long tail came out of the water and smacked him away.
"ELDER GHOST! ELDER JU!" The rest of the Martial Soul Hall group exclaimed in shock.
Soon a massive snake like figure with a bulls head appeared out of the water.
"Emperor of the Forest! The Azure Bull Python!" They said in fear and awe.
Ghost Douluo seeing the both of them rushed towards his friend.
"JU HUA GUAN!"
Ju Douluo seeing this rushed forward to meet him and complete the Martial Soul Fusion.
They were able to activate the Bipolar Static Field trapping Da Ming and Er Ming.
"We can only trap these two beasts for a short while. You all leave to chase after those two!"
The other soul masters including Xie Yue, Yan and Bibi Dong all chased after them.
Unfortunately, Flender in his Martial Soul Form was too fast for the group especially with the head start he had which ultimately led the chasing team to return to the two elders.
"Why are you back?!" Ju Douluo asked angrily.
"Elder Ju, they were already far gone. Even with our flying type soul douluo, he couldn't sense him."
Cursing under their breaths, they looked over to see Yan being carried by Xie Yue holding his abdomen.
"What happened to Yan?"
"Elder Ju, Yan was ambushed by a Human Faced Demon Spider during the chase." Xie Yue said reluctantly.
The elders grew silent before they turned to the rest of the group.
"Since you are here, help us attack these two beasts, we cannot hold them for much longer."
They all turned and started to attack Da Ming and Er Ming. After a great battle, both groups were fatigued but in the end, Da Ming and Er Ming took too much damage during the time they were still trapped in the Bipolar Static Field. They were now lying on the ground weak.
"We must inform the Martial Soul Hall for reinforcements to come and help bind these two. But before that..." Ghost Douluo nodded at the Soul Douluo.
Suddenly, the man appeared in front of the weakened Yan before stabbing him in the gut with a knife causing Yan to spit blood.
Xie Yue stunned at first turned angry before summoning his Moon Blades ready to strike back but he was thrown back by another soul master knocking the wind out of him.
Bibi Dong still stunned turned to look at the two elders.
"G-grandpa Ju, Grandpa Ghost, What are you doing? What is going on?"
"Silly girl, Her Holiness has been disappointed by you three for the last time. How can you let a soul beast injure you during a chase Yan?" Ju Douluo said disappointed.
"Her Holiness has ordered your death in the event that you do not perform on this mission. Frankly I do not see the use of you three any further." Ghost Douluo said coldly.
Bibi Dong was shaking. Her own teacher had ordered her death. She suddenly saw a shadow above her as another person raised his sword to kill her. She saw her brother spring forward in front of her as she watched both pierce one another with their blades.
"BROTHER!" Xie Yue was kicked into Bibi Dong before she could release her martial soul and they both fell down.
"I am sorry Dong'er but we have no choice." Ju Douluo said sadly.
Bibi Dong saw the group close in to finish the job before she remembered the Jade Token and crushed it.
Seeing her crush a Jade Token, everyone just raised an eyebrow. Perhaps she is losing her mind?
Suddenly, the sky darkened as the sounds of Thunder could be heard booming above them.
Thinking nothing of it, one moved forward to kill Bibi Dong before a bolt of lightning came down on him vaporizing him in an instant. The bright light caused everyone to shield their eyes.
As they looked up, they saw another figure holding Bibi Dong in his arms.
"Are you okay Dong'er?" Tang Zhen said softly.
"Zhen? You're here!" Bibi Dong cried as she held him.
Tang Zhen surveyed the surroundings and saw the Soul Hall team along with Da Ming and Er Ming heavily injured. Then he looked behind him and saw Xie Yue and Yan in critical condition.
He turned back to Bibi Dong.
"What happened?"
"My....My teacher wants us dead. My brother tried to protect me." She sobbed.
Tang Zhen seeing her lip bleeding slightly was furious.
"Dong'er, I'll be right back." He set her down gently next to Xie Yue as she got up to try and stop the bleeding.
Walking forward, the two elders were shocked at his strength.
"Tang Zhen! You! You're level 89?! That's impossible!" Ju Douluo screamed in disbelief.
The whole group was stunned. Tang Zhen according to their information was only 22 years old at this point. Level 89 at 22 years old? What kind of Monster is he?
"Martial Soul Hall.....today, you owe me a debt of blood." His Death God Domain and Sharingan/Rinnegan appeared causing a oppressive aura to descend on the group.
"KILL HIM!" Ghost Douluo yelled. Him and Ju Hua Guan had yet to recover their soul power after holding the two soul beasts for a long time.
"MARTIAL SOUL FORM!" The group of the remaining 19 Soul Douluos and Soul Saints all released their martial souls.
"Hn. Fire Style: Majestic Destroyer Flame" Tang Zhen put his hands in an odd form before he inhaled. The next moment, the only thing that the soul masters could feel was fear.
A huge wall of fire spewed out of Tang Zhen's mouth. Some of the Soul Douluo level members were able to survive but they all had major injuries. The Soul Saints were not so lucky. They were engulfed by the wall of flames and disintegrated into ashes.
For all the years they have been alive, Ju Hua Guan and Gui Mei had never seen anything like this. They flew away just in time to see the chaos unfold and saw the forest behind them burned to a crisp.
Bibi Dong saw the wall of flame and couldn't help but stare in amazement at the strength the man she loved had.
"QUICKLY ATTACK HIM TOGETHER!" Ju Douluo yelled.
The two elders also released their Martial Soul Forms.
Tang Zhen seeing this summoned his Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon and eight soul rings appeared. Purple, Black, Black, Black, Black, Red, Red, Red.
The group of 10 remaining Martial Soul Hall members sat frozen. Tang Zhen getting impatient decided to strike first.
"Thunder Domain." A huge field of Thunder energy enveloped them.
The Thunder Domain he acquired amplifies all Thunder based abilities he uses by 100% and causes lasting damage to the enemies caught in his domain. The longer they stay, the more their bodies become paralyzed as they lose motor function. He also absorbs the electric elements from around him such as an enemy soul master's bioelectricity causing them to feel weak and drained while it fuels Tang Zhen.
"Second Soul Skill, Tesla Prison." Tang Zhen said coldly.
The group was immediately trapped in a Thunder cage as they tried to break free. They could feel the effects of the two domains. As the Death God Domain lowered their capabilities, they could feel the Thunder Domain draining their energy.
"First Soul Skill, Three Thousand Thunder Movement." He disappeared in an instant appearing in front of one of the people trapped in his Tesla Prison.
He channeled his Thunder of Destruction into his hand.
"OCTANE BLAST!" He slammed his hand against the man's chest. With the use of his Thunder of Destruction, the upper body was blown to pieces leaving only his legs.
The remaining 7 bishops broke free and gathered together forming a six sided star. They soon channeled their soul power into the middle bishop as they aimed it at Tang Zhen and fired.
Tang Zhen wanted to crush all of their hopes so he just stood there and the attack connecting exploding the surroundings.
The Bishops all smirked while panting thinking they had killed Tang Zhen and the three useless members of the Golden Generation. A split second later, the cloud of dust was blown away as Tang Zhen stood in the Armored Susanoo perfectly fine.
"THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!" They yelled.
Tang Zhen raised his hand and a red ring activated.
"Eighth Soul Skill, Thunderclap Dominion."
A huge ball of Thunder appeared as it started spinning faster and faster. The people trapped inside its range was pulled closer and closer into it. The only way to escape this attack's gravitational pull was to have a higher soul power than Tang Zhen. As the bishops were all pulled in slowly, they tried everything from using their soul skills at the ball to trying to escape, nothing mattered. As the first person got close, an arc of Thunder flew out hitting him. The attack was overloading him with the tremendous Thunder energy as he started to spasm and his organic tissue began to disintegrate as he screamed in agony. The others horrified tried to attack the sphere of energy more which to their dismay drew them in faster.
After a brief moment, all the Soul Douluos no longer existed.
Ju Hua Guan and Gui Mei were stunned. They were recovering their soul power in order to able to to use their Bipolar Static Field again while the bishops held him off but they never expected Tang Zhen to kill the entire group of Soul Saints and Soul Douluos in less than 2 minutes.
"TANG ZHEN! YOU DARE! THE MARTIAL SOUL HALL WILL NOT LET YOU OFF!" Ju Hua Guan yelled.
"Hn. You dared to hurt my Dong'er. As I have said, The Martial Soul Hall now owes me blood." He said coldly.
The two elders turned to each other and nodded, they activated their Martial Soul Forms and released their attacks.
"EIGHTH SOUL SKILL, HOLY LIGHT DOOR!/NINTH SOUL SKILL, UNLIMITED ENGULFING SHADOWS!" Ju Douluo and Ghost Douluo both attacked at the same time.
Tang Zhen sneered disdainfully. He activated his perfect Susanoo and channeled his Thunder of Destruction and formed his Haotian Hammer causing an ominous Black/Red hammer with the markings of the Death God Domain on it.
"HAOTIAN HAMMER?! HE HAS TWIN MARTIAL SOULS?!" Ju Douluo exclaimed.
As the attacks came, Tang Zhen in the Susanoo drew his hammer back, and swung it sideways shattering the combined attack causing a massive backlash to both Titled Douluos.
Tang Zhen deactivated his Susanoo and slowly walked towards them as a black and red Thunder formed in his hand.
"Die knowing that the rest of your pathetic hall will join you soon. Bansho Tenin."
Ghost Douluo suddenly felt himself being pulled towards Tang Zhen by some unknown force as he screamed before he was pierced through the heart ending his life.
"OLD GHOST NO!" Ju Douluo yelled devastated that his best friend was killed.
He got up to try and avenge his friend's death but before he could he realized that he could no longer move his arms.
"Am I feeling the paralyzing effect of his Thunder Domain? Even a Titled Douluo that is much stronger than him can get affected by it?" He cursed inwardly.
Tang Zhen walked up to Ju Hua Guan.
"Go back and tell your master that I will come to settle the score some day. For hurting and plotting to kill my Dong'er, no one in the Martial Soul Hall will survive." Tang Zhen said coldly.
"TANG ZHEN! YOU JUST WAIT, ONE DAY I WILL KILL YOU!" Ju Hua Guan yelled with fury.
"Hn. You can try." Tang Zhen said as he left.
As soon as the battle was over, a group of familiar auras appeared from the forest.
"TANG ZHEN! WHAT HAPPENED HERE?" Sword Douluo yelled.
Tang Zhen walked up to Ye Lingling and Ning Rongrong if they can help with the recovery of Yan and Xie Yue as they were on the verge of dying.
"I can help too!" Jiang Zhu said.
Tang Zhen nodded in thanks as he walked over to Bibi Dong and held her.
"Dong'er, I'm here. You're safe." Tang Zhen said softly.
Bibi Dong felt weak in her legs. She felt weak. She couldn't do anything and her brother and Yan were almost killed.
She cried in Tang Zhen's arms as he held her.
Ning Fengzhi helped boost the healing speeds of Lingling and Jiang Zhu.
Xiao Wu was crying by Da Ming and Er Ming. The two soul beasts said that they were fine, just exhausted and the wounds would heal in time.
After everything was over, they all returned back to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan.
Tang Zhen then informed everyone that he was going into seclusion again to try and increase his level to 90.
Bibi Dong went up to the Titled Douluos and asked them to train her so that she could be able to catch up to the others. Seeing how she was with Tang Zhen they agreed much to her joy.

Hu Liena was livid. Not only did the three members of the Golden Generation survive after their failure, the whole hunting team filled with Soul Saints and Soul Douluos all died. To make matters worse, Ghost Douluo was killed by Tang Zhen of all people to came to save her ex-disciple revealing his other martial soul the Haotian Hammer.
For the first time, Hu Liena felt nervous. Tang Zhen was only 22 years old and at level 89. A true Monster.
She also received his warning. With the death of the entire hunting team, she was sure that those old fossils in the Elder Hall were going to have a field day mocking her for this.
It was unacceptable.
The word that another genius with twin martial souls spread like wildfire eventually reaching two particular clans, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan and the Haotian Clan.
