A young woman—or rather, a young lad—stepped out of her house like an insect. The first sensation was: "The heat!" There was no wind. It felt as if the world had frozen. All that could be heard was the chirping of birds. As she started walking towards her school, she felt drained, though she hadn't had much energy to begin with.
Upon reaching school, she immediately set her bag aside and lay down on the desk, overcome by drowsiness. She dozed off, only waking when her teacher called her name for attendance.
"Yume! Yume!"
She instinctively replied, her energy feeling somehow replenished. Or so she thought, as she awoke instinctively. As the bell rang, marking the end of school, a classmate sitting next to her remarked,
"Yume, we weren't supposed to wear sports uniforms today. There's no drill practice."
"Precautions," she muttered, though in reality, she had simply forgotten what to wear.
