At the Western Suburbs Villa, the Hot Springs Manor.
After marrying into the Eastern Palace with County Princess pingAn's body, Situ Wei enjoyed immense favor. Today's banquet in the Western Suburbs marked her first public appearance after her wedding, and the guests were all prominent figures in the court.
It was already late autumn, and there was only little to enjoy in terms of scenery, but the Hot Springs Manor maintained a spring-like atmosphere, warm and pleasant.
The banquet was held near a spring pool, with fresh water drawn from the spring, elegantly flowing along winding paths where guests could drink wine from the floating cups.
Since the Crown Prince would also attend, the seating was not separated by gender.
The banquet was lively, yet Situ Wei, the main character, had not yet made her appearance.
