Chapter 57 - Growing Connections & the upcoming chamber

Two months had passed since Kieraxys' first flying lessons, and I couldn't believe how far he'd come. His first successful flight was still etched vividly in my mind, and I beamed with pride every time I thought about it.

As we sat together in our cozy little cave, Kieraxys looked up at me with a determined expression. "Tharros... brother..." he said, his voice clear and strong.

I smiled, my eyes shining with warmth. "Yes, little brother?"

Kieraxys took a deep breath before continuing. "I... want... to... fly... with... you."

My heart swelled with love and pride. Kieraxys was eager to take his flying skills to the next level, and I was more than happy to oblige.

"Alright, little brother," I said, my voice filled with excitement. "Let's take to the skies together!"

As we exited the cave, the warm sunlight danced across our scales, casting a kaleidoscope of colors across the surrounding rocks. Kieraxys' copper scales glimmered brightly, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and nostalgia wash over me.

We stood at the edge of the cliff, the wind ruffling our scales as we gazed out at the endless expanse of sky. Kieraxys looked up at me with an eager expression, his eyes shining with excitement.

I smiled, remembering the countless hours I'd spent teaching him the basics of flight. "Alright, little brother, let's do this!" I exclaimed, spreading my silver wings wide.

Kieraxys mirrored my movements, his smaller wings beating rapidly as he lifted off the ground. I followed suit, and together we soared into the sky, our wings beating in perfect sync.

The wind rushed past us, whipping our scales into a frenzy as we danced among the clouds. Kieraxys laughed, a pure, joyous sound that filled my heart with warmth.

As we flew, I couldn't help but notice the way Kieraxys' flying skills had improved. His turns were sharper, his dives more precise, and his overall control was remarkable.

I beamed with pride, knowing that my little brother was growing into a skilled young dragon. And as we flew together, our bond growing stronger with every passing moment, I knew that nothing could ever break the connection we shared.

As we flew, we saw a waterfall. I looked at Kieraxys. "Let landed there!"

Kieraxys' eyes lit up with excitement as he nodded enthusiastically. "Y-yes! Tharros, b-brother!" he stuttered, his voice filled with eagerness.

I chuckled, smiling at my little brother's enthusiasm. "Alright, let's head down!" I exclaimed, beginning our descent towards the waterfall.

As we landed on the rocky outcropping behind the falls, the roar of the water grew louder, and the mist created a cool, refreshing atmosphere. Kieraxys looked around in awe, his copper scales glistening with dew.

I smiled, remembering the many times I'd brought my siblings to this very spot. "Want to go behind the falls?" I asked Kieraxys, already knowing his answer.

Kieraxys nodded vigorously, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Y-yes! Tharros, b-brother!" he exclaimed, already starting to make his way towards the waterfall.

I laughed, following close behind. "Hold on, little brother! Let me show you the way!"

Kieraxys, look at me and question, "Brother d-do, you remember a few m-months about you s-said about I will h-hear multiple heartbeat inside of you?" I nodded

I nodded, my expression turning thoughtful. "Yes, little brother, I remember. I told you that you would hear multiple heartbeats inside me, didn't I?" Kieraxys' eyes locked onto mine, his gaze intense. "Y-yes... Tharros. B-brother, I-I want to... l-listen." He took a step closer, his voice barely above a whisper.

I smiled, my heart swelling with love and affection. "Of course, little brother," I said, my voice gentle. "Come here." I opened my arms, inviting Kieraxys to come closer.

Kieraxys hesitated for a moment before stepping into my embrace. I wrapped my arms around him, holding him close as he pressed his ear against my belly.

As Kieraxys listened, his eyes sparkled with curiosity. "I-I don't hear... anything," he said, his voice filled with a hint of disappointment.

I chuckled, my chest vibrating with the sound. "Not yet, little brother," I said, my voice filled with a knowing smile. "But soon. Very soon."

Kieraxys question "and also why did you make me hear it on your belly?"

I smiled. "I'm not going to tell you yet, but I will be reviling it to you!"

Kieraxys' eyes widened with excitement, his face lighting up with anticipation. "R-really? Tharros, b-brother, you're going to t-tell me?" he asked, his voice trembling with eagerness.

I chuckled, my smile growing wider. "Yes, little brother, I promise. You'll be the be able to know and our parents and all my younger siblings as well," I said, my voice filled with a hint of mystery.

Kieraxys' face lit up even more, his excitement palpable. "R-really? Tharros, b-brother, everyone's going to know?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

I nodded, my smile still plastered on my face. "Yes, little brother. It's going to be a big surprise for everyone," I said, my eyes sparkling with amusement.

Kieraxys bounced up and down, his copper scales glinting in the sunlight. "I c-can't w-wait, Tharros! B-brother!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with anticipation.

Kieraxys smiled. "Will big b-brother be happy when that day c-comes?"

I laughed, feeling a warmth in my chest. "Oh, little brother, I'll be more than happy. I'll be over the moon!" I exclaimed, my smile matching Kieraxys'.

I wrapped my arms around Kieraxys, pulling him into a gentle hug. "And I know you'll be happy too, little brother. You'll be a big help when that day comes," I whispered, my voice filled with affection.

I patented his head, "and everyone will be a big help in the future!"

Kieraxys looked up at me with shining eyes, a bright smile spreading across his face. "Y-yes! Tharros, b-brother! W-we'll all h-help!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with enthusiasm.

I smiled, feeling a sense of pride and joy. "That's right, little brother. We'll all work together and make it a special day for everyone," I said, my voice filled with warmth.

Kieraxys nodded, still grinning from ear to ear. "I l-love you, Tharros. B-brother," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

My heart swelled with love and affection. "I love you too, Kieraxys. Little brother," I replied, my voice filled with emotion.

I look at Kieraxys "let flew back home!"

Kieraxys' face lit up with excitement. "Y-yes! Tharros, b-brother! L-let's g-go!" he exclaimed, already spreading his wings in preparation for takeoff.

I smiled, feeling a sense of joy and contentment. "Alright, little brother! Let's fly!" I said, spreading my own wings as we took to the skies together.

As we soared through the air, the wind rushing past us, Kieraxys let out a happy cry. "Wheeee! Tharros, b-brother! This is f-fun!" he exclaimed, his laughter carrying on the wind.

I chuckled, feeling a sense of pride and happiness. "I'm glad you're enjoying it, little brother," I said, smiling as we flew towards home.

As we flew over the familiar landscape, I could see the outline of our home in the distance. Kieraxys noticed it too, and his excitement grew.

"T-tharros, b-brother! I s-see h-home!" he exclaimed, pointing a claw towards the nest.

I smiled, feeling a sense of warmth and belonging. "Yes, little brother, we're almost there," I said, banking and turning towards the nest.

As we landed safely on the edge of the nest, my family members looked up, greeting us with warm smiles. My parents were busy preening Lyriath's Navy Blue scales, while Vyraxys, Nyxoria, Lyrixa, and Kaidorix were playing a game of chase, their laughter and roars filling the air.

Kieraxys grinned, happy to be back home with our family. "H-home!" he exclaimed, rushing over to join in the playtime.

I watched with a smile, feeling grateful for this loving and lively family of mine.

I shouted "HEY WE BACK!"

The nest erupted in a joyful chorus of roars, growl, and laughter. My family members rushed over to greet us, happy to see us return safely.

My mother smiled warmly, nuzzling me affectionately. "Welcome back, Tharros! We're glad you're home," she said, her voice filled with love.

My father chuckled, ruffling Kieraxys' copper scales. "And how was your short flight, little ones?" he asked, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

The others gathered around, curious about our brief adventure. Lyriath, Vyraxys, Nyxoria, Lyrixa, and Kaidorix all asked casual questions, happy to see us return.

Kieraxys grinned, basking in the attention. "T-tell them, Tharros! B-brother!" he exclaimed, nudging me encouragingly.

I smiled, happy to share our adventure with my family. "It was a great flight, everyone," I said, launching into a brief tale of our journey. "Kieraxys and I soared through the skies, feeling the wind rushing past us. We saw some amazing sights and had a wonderful time together."

My family listened with interest, asking occasional questions and making supportive noises. Kieraxys beamed with pride, happy to have been a part of our adventure.

When I finished speaking, my mother smiled warmly. "We're glad you two had a good time," she said. "It's always wonderful to spend quality time together."

My father nodded in agreement. "Yes, family bonding is important. And speaking of which, Tharros, can I have a word with you?" he asked, his expression turning serious.

I look at Mother. "You can spend time with Kieraxys now he really needs to learn to speak better! Right Kieraxys?" I looked at him, and he smiled and nodded

My mother chuckled, smiling warmly at Kieraxys. "Of course, dear. I'd be happy to help Kieraxys with his speech," she said, gently nudging Kieraxys towards her.

Kieraxys grinned, nodding enthusiastically as he settled in beside my mother. "Y-yes, M-mother!" he exclaimed, already eager to start his practice.

My mother smiled, wrapping a loving wing around Kieraxys. "Don't worry, Tharros. I'll take good care of him," she said, winking at me.

I smiled, feeling grateful for my mother's support. "Thanks, Mother. I appreciate it," I said, before turning to my father. "You wanted to talk to me?" I shook my head

My father chuckled, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Ah, I suppose I'll just have to wait, then," he said, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.

I smiled, feeling a bit mysterious. "Maybe later, Father," I said, leaving him wondering what I was thinking.

My father nodded, a knowing glint in his eye. "Very well, Tharros. I'll wait patiently," he said, before turning to join my mother and Kieraxys.

I question ask "Father do dragons get their own room?" Father nodded "Yes that is right but for you and your siblings not now until you all are at the juvenile stage you all still at the hatchlings stage and Kieraxys is only a few months old and you to Kaidorix are 3 years old now!"

I thought about this for a moment, considering Father's words. "So, when we reach the juvenile stage, we'll each get our own room?" I asked, seeking clarification.

Father nodded again. "That's correct, Tharros. As juveniles, you'll need your own space to grow and develop. But for now, it's best for you all to stay together in the nest. It's safer and more comfortable for you hatchlings," he explained.

I looked around the nest, seeing my siblings playing and snuggled up together. It was cozy, but I could understand how having my own room would be nice when I got older.

I think about mother telling me when the start juvenile stage starts in life.'Oh right, it at when I'm about 28 years old'

I nodded to myself, remembering Mother's words. 'Twenty-eight years old, that's still a long way off,' I thought, feeling a bit patient about getting my own room.

I looked around the nest again, watching my siblings play and snuggle together. It was nice to have them close, and I knew that even when we did get our own rooms, we'd still be a close-knit family.

Kieraxys, still practicing his speech with Mother, caught my eye and grinned. I smiled back, feeling happy to be part of this loving family.

I question, "So when me and Lyriath and Vyraxys and Nyxoria and Lyrixa and Kaidorix are 28 years old, we get our own room?"

Father chuckled, a hint of amusement in his voice. "Not exactly, Tharros. When each of you reaches 28 years old, you'll be considered juveniles and will get your own rooms. But since you, Lyriath, Vyraxys, Nyxoria, Lyrixa, and Kaidorix are all the same age, you'll all reach the juvenile stage at the same time."

I thought about this for a moment, understanding that it would be a simultaneous process for my siblings and me. And Kieraxys, being the youngest, would reach the juvenile stage much later than us.

I question ask father, "So what will my room be?!" My eyes gleaming and father answered,"Just you wait!" He chuckled

I bounced up and down excitedly, my tail twitching with anticipation. "Ooh, is it going to be amazing?!" I asked, my voice full of eagerness.

Father chuckled again, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Let's just say you'll be very happy with your new room, Tharros," he said, a hint of mystery in his voice.

I grinned, my imagination running wild with possibilities. What would my room be like? Would it have a great view? Would it be big and spacious? I couldn't wait to find out!
