Chereads / Final Fantasy XIV: The Winter Calamity / Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 - Tales of the Heart

Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 - Tales of the Heart

"Winter Winter!"

Only one person in the world dared to summon me, not once! But twice!

"Minfilia, the bravest soul on Eorzea approaches."

She gave a deep curtsy.

"You honor me!"

I continued to refine muddy water into distilled water. It's the most common ingredient in potion making. And the process couldn't be more boring. I was watching water boil. Was it worse than watching paint dry? Or grass grow?

"So, what is it?"

"So blunt!"

I gazed at Minfilia. She wasn't covered in soot today, so I decided to treat her like a proper lady.

I suddenly jumped up and held her hand.

"Eep!"

"What doth my dearest lady require of this lowly knight?"

I then kissed the back of her hand.

"Kyaaaaaa!"

Minfilia started lightly slapping my head. It seemed my act was sufficient.

"Ah! Why did you stop?!"

'What more does this Princess want from me, ey?'

"Here!"

Minfilia then pointed at her cheek. I understood. Everyone reached that point in their life eventually. The desire was too much to contain. So I poked it. Her soft cheek easily gave way to my mighty finger. The power I held was an awe-inspiring one. You may weep now, Minfilia.

"..."

"Graaaaahh!"

"Ahhhhh!"

She jumped on me in a fury.

What in the hells had gotten into the world today?!

Everyone was so violent!

She was straddled on top of me and held my hands down. Her body, which was far more developed than I knew, pinned me down tight. I could push her off at anytime but has no desire to hurt her.

"M-Minfilia? You're not a child anymore y'know? You can't go around pinning men down like this..."

"WHO'S PINNING MEN DOWN YOU DUMMY!"

"Aren't you pinning me down now?!"

"You're not men! You're Winter!"

I couldn't come up with a response. I was indeed Winter...

Why is this Minfilia so bizarre?! In-game she was so polite that it was boring... But at least she was perfectly sensible! So what happened to mine?! Did I do something?! Did she break?!

"Winter, is it true that you gave Mylla and Adal kisses today?!"

What?! Was a doppelganger running around with my face and raising hell?!

Getting involved with the daughter of a guild leader? Or her friend?! One letter to her daddy and I could kiss my cotton candy looking ass goodbye!

"I want one too!"

What...? Huh..?? What nonsense was she going on about now?! What's going on with this Minfilia?!

"W-wait! I didn't-"

Mm!

My lips were sealed by her clumsy attempt at a kiss. An A for effort, I muttered internally. Why wasn't I panicked? A reckless mess of hormonal problems at this moment? Aether of course~ I was still baffled as to why she was behaving like this, but she already went through with the main course at that point.

Pah!

I stared at Minfilia in bemusement for a few seconds then said,

"I didn't kiss Mylla or Adal."

"..."

"..."

While that was her first kiss, that definitely wasn't mine. Thanks to my unending practice of cycling Aether, I wasn't dumb enough to actually say that aloud.

"..."

"...Uhm...Minfilia?"

I expected her to get up. Or panic. Or blush. Anything really! What is going on with this girl?! Was this actually Minfilia?!

She stared down at me. As if considering if she should take another kiss! Where's the shame?!

Minfilia was always different than her peers in that way. Bold when she should be shy. Calm when she should be angry. I could never understand what she was thinking!

"Oh my!"

Momo-nee walked in on us. Thank god! Save me~

"..."

"..."

"..."

It was like a Mexican stand-off. Who would flinch-

"That's the spirit Minfilia! Get 'em!"

After that, Momo-nee took Minfilia to teach her God knows what.

'sigh*'

Twelve Above, I was exhausted.

Knock Knock

After a short wait F'lhaminn opened the door. She was wearing a modest one piece dress that hid her curves. I didn't know when she'd start wearing glasses but she hadn't adorned them just yet.

After our eyes met, she gently grabbed my hand and brought me inside.

I couldn't stay long today. I had to pack and get ready for my trip.

Plap Plop Squelch Thuck Plap Plap

The Twelveswood was a cool and wet climate. While I wouldn't be there long, I wanted to be careful not to catch anything. Diseases thrived in places like that right? Magic mosquitoes sounded terrifying!

"Nyahhh! Hiiii!"

"Grr, fuck!"

I didn't know why, but after Minfilia's stunt, I decided to go see her mother and spend a few hours fucking her senseless in a mating press. I had her back bent and legs pressed down underneath me. Her feet shook violently above her head.

Slurp sluuuuurp pop nhayh sluuurp

Our kisses never grew old. Jamming my cock into her sweet hole and having my mouth serviced like this was heaven. I alternated between having my tongue sucked and biting her fleshy breasts, leaving a mark that wouldn't easily heal.

The foamy mixture of our juices was exaggerated and made a mess of her bed. Her time as a songstress made her body flexible. Easy to contort into many unique positions.

plop plop plop plop plop thuck thuck

The suctioning force of her pussy was fantastic. This angle, where I could freely jackhammer her meat cave was downright sinful. I didn't bother holding back or asking for permission at all. I decided to finish her off with her favorite technique.

While at this point, her tongue was already flopping about happily, I wanted more from my Miqo'te bitch. I wanted her to violently shake while I impaled her from above.

I pinned her down strongly, making her toes touch the mattress next to her head. I then pulled my hips back until only the tip was inside her sloppy cave then I bit her ear and thrust with my full weight behind me.

shuuuck - thuck... Pshhhhhh

Her body went limp. Her squirts of nectar arced across her belly and some of it splashed under my chin.

Glug goop glug

I filled her womb with its favorite drink. Rope after rope, a thick helping of baby batter filled her garden's cave and I stayed lodged in there. The clamping force was too great, even if it wasn't, I refused to pull out. I wouldn't leave until she milked every drop from my balls. I softly gyrated my hips and continued to press myself balls deep. Not a single bit of my shaft was to endure the open air.

M-mph slurp mm

We let our decadent kisses do the rest of the talking.

I want another round.

Yes sir.

Then, you'll clean me with this slutty mouth of yours.

Anything you desire sir.

---

"So you're coming with me?"

"Mhm~"

I was walking to the Airship Landing with my partner-in-crime, Minfilia, on my tail. I had enough gil to take both of us to Gridania, but I didn't understand why she wanted to go.

"Have you ever seen Gridania?"

"I'm afraid not. Have you?"

"No."

"Then let us make our first time a most special time! Okay?"

I felt like she was doing that on purpose, but I couldn't prove it. Puberty hit her like a truck. In-game, those evil developers at Square Enix limited the sliders to below modest proportions. But this Minfilia was far more... sensual than what I remembered. She had only just stepped into womanhood and yet, was already proving to be a beauty.

She had stopped wearing that knit hat and now sported a short pink hempen camise that exposed her toned midriff. A direct result of her passtime in the mines.

Her shorts were baggy leather culottes and at her hip she wore a simple brown water flask.

It was unacceptable. If she was coming with me, I wouldn't allow her to walk around like a bumpkin. Did F'lhaminn never teach her fashion sense? The next time I pin her down, I'd need to punish her womb by overloading it with my gummy seed to make a point.

We walked into the Weavers' guild. Minfilia looked around with sparkling eyes.

"Well well! Is that Winter I spy?!"

A behemoth of a man walked up to us with alacrity. The Roegydan was younger than Minfilia, despite that, he already ran the Weavers' guild with an iron fist.

"Rose!"

I waved and smiled at the giant. Redolent Rose was the NPC behind one of the most beloved mini-games in XIV. Fashion Report!

Every week, he'd pop up in the Gold Saucer and tell players the theme they had to fit and to report if their garments were up to snuff. No matter how many times I left Fashion Report in tears and smashing my keyboard, I always found time to be there for the next theme.

"Gahaha!"

"Hahahahaha!"

The gentle giant lifted me up into an embrace. I loved this guy like you wouldn't believe!

"How have you fared, Rose?"

"Bah! Battling fools and cutting a sorry figure!"

We traded greetings like this every time. It always brought a joy to my heart.

I presented my limited edition Minfilia by pushing her forward.

"Rose, I was about to depart towards Gridania, but my companion had given me quite a shock as you can plainly see! You were the only person I could bid for aid!"

"Gah!"

Rose gasped in disgust. Got him.

"You were right to bring your paramour to me Winter! I'll fix her right up!"

Paramour?

"Come now! I cannot bear to look at you like this for much longer! Your beauty belongs in a suitable piece!"

Without being able to respond, Minfilia was half dragged to the wall of clothing racks, where Rose began to turn cranks and wheels to bring down the fashion piece he had in mind for her.

The best thing about Rose was that he sold gear that was usually only available on the premium Moogle Store.

XIV was a very player friendly game. They let you play 2 full expansions without having to pay a cent! There was no pay to win, no predatory bundles. It was very fair. But of the few things the developers did lock behind a paywall... damn it! They knew what they were doing!

I grew out of my previous clothes these past some years. I had grown taller and had packed on more muscle. Not as much as I wanted, but between training at the Gladiators' guild and a diet rich in meats, I finally was looking less like a starved pink haired rat more like a normal pink haired rat. At least by Eorzea's standards. It felt comforting seeing people walking around the streets with clothing and hair far more outrageous than mine.

In Ul'dah fashion was the name of the game. The City of Gold didn't mess around with those that lacked the proper garments. They said more about you than your mouth ever could.

"So pray tell, how are you able to capture so many maidens in your snare? Your outfit is obviously craftable."

"I'll give that last remark a pass Little Winter. For your sake."

Rose was the master behind my new outfit. The Casual Jacket. A highly sought piece, for its Glamour versatility. Players would kill me hundreds of times over to get their hands on it. The jacket was dyed a pallid egg shell white and the tank top underneath was a pale blue.

My pants, a similar white to my jacket looked to my eyes like simple slacks but Rose called them Wake Doctor's Bottoms. Below them sat a simple looking pair of brown leather shoes. Rose and I went back and forth for what must've been an hour on whether to include the belt and satchel attached to the Wake Doctor's Bottoms or not. Rose loved it, I thought it would be cumbersome to move in. In the end we kept the brown belt adorned with a beautiful silver buckle, and ditched the satchel.

The custom in this world was to rotate between different copies of the same outfit so I was happy to burn my gil and fill my closet with my duplicated ill gotten gains. I also picked up a couple copies of the Wake Doctor's Coat. I was one of those players who bought 99 glamour prisms from the market boards almost every other week. I hoarded fashion like a dragon hoards gold.

I felt good. Rose's choices had that effect. And most importantly, I still matched my precious Momo-nee! Its white on white on brown till I'm dead baby!

"W-Winter."

I was brought out of my thoughts by the beautifully crafted woman standing in front of me. She had an uncharacteristic flush on her face. Finally! She still could get embarrassed! It was good to see.

Rose went all out for our trip. Minfilia still wore a camise, this one white, but it was wrapped in a pastel pink short cut jacket. Her breasts, that were far larger than her mother's, made the jacket hang instead of hug her toned body. A magnificent curtain effect. You couldn't tell the secret behind the illusion until you faced Minfilia head on.

The most bold choice was the skirt that matched her camise in both color and length. It hugged her plump thighs seductively and accentuated the flare of her hips with a small flowing pattern near the edges. Her long legs were locked into a pair of long pastel pink boots that matched her stylish jacket.

I walked up to Minfilia and held her hand.

"You look beautiful, Minfilia."

Her face blushed into a deep red, far surpassing her outfit in hue. Her blue-grayish eyes were locked onto me steadily despite that. I thought I got her! She's too brave! Who acts like this?!

"Thank you, Winter~"

A pang of fear surged in my chest suddenly. There was no immediate danger at the moment, but I was fully aware that these times would come to a sudden and violent end.

"Rose you've outdone yourself! She looks truly fantastic!"

I suppress that feeling and exclaim to my buddy Rose.

At this Minfilia finally blushes and puts her head down in shyness. What's up with her huh?! That's what gets you?!

"Gahaha! I'm glad you like it old friend! And remember, the next time you need a refresh, my guild is always open!"

I paid for 2 sets and ordered 10 more Minfilia Edition outfits to be sent back to F'lhaminn. I should take her here eventually. I wanted to breed her in clothes that Rose selected. I wanted to hear her scream and moan in those clothes.

---

As we left the guild, I carefully wrapped the parcels that held Minfilia's old clothes. I'd take them with us and load them onto the airship.

To protect Minfilia, I would have to utterly ruin the story.

In A Realm Reborn, Hydaelyn summoned her to sacrifice herself and become the Voice of the Mother.

The Mother Crystal was on the verge of being unable to speak. She was weakened. She had no choice but to use Minfilia as a surrogate of some kind.

'The pants are too bulky.'

My options were two-fold. I either had to find a different vessel to strengthen Hydaelyn or prevent her from becoming weakened in the first place.

The second option was my worst case scenario. That would screw the story so badly that it'd never recover. I would have to fight Ultima without Hydaelyn getting involved as well. A far more difficult prospect. The Warrior of Light would have no scruples with using her power whenever they could get it and I had no idea how to persuade them of otherwise.

I carefully thought to myself as we walked. Why was it exactly that Minfilia had to be the one to die?

While gathering intel through the Horn and Hand, I learned that supposedly, wielders of the Echo were popping up here and there. People across Eorzea who claimed to be able to see falling stars. Nothing had been done with them just yet however. It must have been part of the 1.0 story later.

The Scions were the result of the Circle of Knowing joining hands with another group called the Path of the Twelve. As I understood it, this was the group Minfilia lead in 1.0. I didn't know much about them other than the fact that they all wielded the Echo.

"Two for Gridania, please."

I forgot that airships even existed while I was recovering within the Arrzaneth Ossuary. Of course I could travel for half the price. It wasn't that important now, as I did have far more time.

We stepped onto the still docked airship and went towards the back corner. Minfilia was having a blast, inspecting bits of the ship, bothering the crew-mates and looking over the sides.

If there were so many with the Echo, where did they go? When the Calamity happened, Louisoix teleported your player character away through space and time. You popped back up in Eorzea 5 years later and no one knew your name. Minfilia thought you were familiar, but that was all. Was there more?

Perhaps, they were also teleported away? Then did they not come back? Maybe the answer to my issue was, I needed to keep a sacrifice in place. A new member for the Scions. Another user of the Echo. They needed to stay and act as a member of the Scions until Hydaelyn came knocking. Then, I'll send them off to act as the new speaker.

What would this do to later characters? What about character arcs? Thancred wouldn't have his moment of arguable growth. Ryne and Eden may never come into being. The entire story of Shadowbringers hinged on those characters I believed. I had no idea what their deal was, but I knew they were both important.

But I didn't care. By that time, the story was already unknown for me. I didn't get to move past Stormblood as the party finder could never get me a queue for the bridge boss fight after the end-credits.

Everything I knew of Shadowbringers and Endwalker was from cursory glances at the wiki, a few cinematic trailers and fans yapping about the story. It was more than I knew of 1.0 but still not enough to plan or do anything.

I had no answer as to what could or would change. My golden finger would run out by that point. I'd have to play it all by ear. No matter what-

I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to face the intruder. A soft pair of lips greeted mine. Minfilia had gone in for another kiss after all.

Mmn chup pah lmmmn

This one was less clumsy. More sexy. More intentional. She positioned herself to straddle me. Her sizable breasts pressed into my chest and her tongue swam inside my mouth. I kissed her back unconsciously and held her womanly hips.

The pleasure made my eyes flicker and thoughts scramble. It was way different than kissing F'lhaminn. Minfilia's tongue was smooth and long. She used it to count my teeth and explore under my tongue as if I were hiding something illicit.

sluuuurp mmph kiss slurp

She mixed our saliva vigorously, then swallowed the combinations before I could. Our passion turned into a race of tender hearts.

pop

With a sound full of implications our mouths separated. Our breathing was heavy, but restrained.

"Hehe, you're blushing."

I was? Despite the Aether calmly circulating around me, I turned out to not be as immune as I thought. If it turned off...haha. I didn't want to know the answer to that.

Minfilia held my hand and smiled sweetly. She was incredibly brave. I wasn't a fool. Of course I had noticed her affections. But I was conflicted. I knew of her fate. I knew what would happen come 2.0. I knew that the future hinged on it. Perhaps the balance of all existence did.

But she was important to me.

My time in Eorzea was not as long as my time at home, no, on Earth. But I felt so close here. I had people I cherished. People I didn't want to disappoint. Family, friends, lovers. I couldn't find it in me to cut those ties or keep them at arms length. I was never the kind of man who could be that cold.

'Hah. I was still scared. Wasn't I?'

Despite all this time, I was no different than when I first woke up crawling out of that pit of bodies. I avoided the serious problems. The ones that made my heart shake with anxiety. Only facing them when I had to. But for Minfilia. For this one problem that had a definitive end, I had to be proactive.

I vowed to myself silently upon that carriage. I knew of Eorzea's darkness. The side of the world colored with war, death, and corruption. But I also was familiar with Eorzea's light. The side of of light, laughter, and miracles.

I had opened my heart that day. Ready to receive the star's worries and celebrate it's triumphs. I would never close up. I would face my problems head on with the mind to solve them. Love was no different. So why hesitate? I've never had to before.

I grabbed her chin as gently as I could, like trying to handle porcelain. My words were simple because my meaning was straight forward.

"I love you, Minfilia."

She had bought my heart with those crystals after all. And I was happy to be purchased.

Not wanting to leave her hanging, I leaned in and kissed her back. I held my hand on the small of her back and pulled her close. The smell of berries flushed my nose. Her body jumped and jolted as if I had electrocuted her, but then she settled calmly in my arms.

"Mmm sluuurp love kiss too sl-sluuurp Winterrrr~ kisss kiss kiss hehe slurrrp"

I hugged her stronger and kissed her longer.

No matter what, I wouldn't let her die. It would be difficult. But I would do it.

Slurp Pop

I looked into her eyes after our kiss for a long time. Our foreheads were touching as we attempted to communicate our feelings silently.

Warm fingers traced my face and snapped me out of my thoughts. I had done that too many times today.

"You're worried... about... the future...? What did you see?"

That was right. She awakened the Echo. While it wasn't enough to peer into thoughts and read feeling directly just yet, it was enough for her to gain insight into my general head-space. Maybe that was why she was so bold. She knew where the line was. My Minfilia was so brave, yet so considerate.

I shook my head gently.

"Nothing at all. I'll handle it. I promise."

Then I flashed her my best game ending smile. Even if I have to break the star in half to find the solution, I would do it.

I was willing to become the 8th Calamity.
