It My life : The beginning of my life as a girl child . was the beginning of another year, the day was bright as always and sunny, deep in thought was Ava , she thought about the previous year and how it ended, she was so disappointed because she hasn't yet achieved any of the goals she set for herself.
In a typical Nigerian household it was a time for celebration, giving God the thanks and appreciation for seeing them through the previous year and bring them to a new year. Ava's parents were religious leaders so they were already done with the normal routine of devotion which is seeking the face of GOD. Her mother was in the kitchen preparing for the day, calling out her other siblings (Emma,Luna and Jordyn) they followed her in the kitchen having discovered that Ava wasn't with them she sent Jordyn to call her and Ava was called to the kitchen, she was murmuring and being hesitating she answered her mom gave them instructions on her to do the works which were cooking and cleaning, then she proceeded to get ready for church with her husband .
After the whole event of the day, serving and entertaining visitors and relatives they were all tired and exhausted retired to bed . Early the next day was Ava's birthday and as usual she wasn't her cheerful self she just thought of how she wasn't proud of herself at her 20th birthday, she compared herself with her mates and felt sad, down and depressed refusing to communicate with her siblings even after they wished her a happy birthday. She was still lost in thought and was crying, she was determined that this year will be different, she wished for the day to come to an end and as expected it did.
Woke up the next day being Sunday and as expected the family were going to church to celebrate and thank God for the new year and also the first Sunday of the year. Having prepared for church her parents left with her younger sister Jordyn and instructed them to come to church and be on time . After about an hour since their parents left she got ready with her remaining siblings and about to leave even if they weren't happy. After church service they returned home and ate lunch, the meal as usual was rice and stew . Ava thought about her life and what the future holds for her because she was leaving the next day same as her siblings, they all had a life to live they came for the holidays and it was time to go back to their school each of them, having entertained and talk having a lovely family time they were all tired and left for bed .
The next morning Ava,Emma and Luna left their house down to the park to board a bus down to their various schools unlike Ava, Emma and Luna schools in the same state with their parents Luna on the other had attends Niger Delta university (NDU) in bayelsa state having said their goodbyes she left to her bus leaving her both siblings. The journey started and she couldn't stop thinking she kept thinking of the good times she spent with her siblings, she thought of when they were little and also what the future holds for her, still in her confused state she slept off for about an hour when she woke up she was already in bayelsa.
She proceeded to her school, when she got to school she met her roommates who were so excited to see her then she joined them in cleaning.
Woke up the next day still confused about her life she checked her class group and saw that she has a class then she just decided that she will rest for the whole day and begin classes tomorrow , she was really not prepared for this new semester but she trusted and believe God .
