Chapter 2: Initial Pokémon
"Well, let me briefly talk about today's procedures and precautions," Ms.Deonna, the class teacher, began.
"First of all, every student can receive a starter Pokémon for free."
"However, the order in which you enter will be determined by your final exam scores. For example, Victor from our class will be the first to enter the room for selection."
"There is a time limit for selection. If you cannot complete the selection within the specified time, the computer will randomly assign you the initial Pokémon."
"Inside the board house are small rooms with different attributes, each of which contains Pokémon of eighteen attributes, including precious Dragon-type and Psychic-type Pokémon."
"The Pokémon stored in the Poké Balls in the room cannot be released during the selection process, so the type of Pokémon you can select can only rely on your own luck."
"Finally, it's important to state that the Alliance strictly cracks down on any abandonment of Pokémon. Even if you don't get along with your original Pokémon, you can still hand it over to the Alliance to take back the Pokémon."
"These are roughly the things to pay attention to. Are there any students who still have questions?" asked Ms. Deonna.
The students in Class 1 of Grade 2 answered in unison, "No!"
"Okay, I will start calling the roll. Students whose names are called can go in and choose their initial Pokémon. Remember the time limit."
"Victor."
"To!"
After Victor stepped out of the line, he walked into the room with the ten students from the next ten classes who were taking the first round of roll call.
"Ding, student card!"
After swiping the student ID and passing through security, the alliance staff member next to him briefly emphasized, "You have ten minutes to choose, be careful not to run out of time."
As soon as he finished speaking, Victor and the people next to him walked towards the Dragon and Psychic Departments' rooms at the same time.
Victor first came to the room where the Dragon-type Pokémon were stored. He scanned the room using the illustrated encyclopedia function. Compared to the spacious room, the information about the Pokémon in the five Poké Balls, which were pitifully small, appeared in Victor's mind.
Pokémon: Horsea
Attribute: Water
Gender: ♂, ♀
Features: Damp
Level: 5
Moves: Water Gun, Smokescreen
Pokémon: Swablu
Attributes: Normal, Flying
Gender: ♀
Features: Natural Cure
Level: 5
Moves: Growl, Peck, Astonish
Two duplicate Pokémon occupy four positions, and the basic information is the same as what Victor's father, the gym owner, said. It didn't even have Dragon attributes before evolving.
The only pure Dragon-type Pokémon is the Applin line.
Pokémon: Applin
Attributes: Grass, Dragon
Gender: ♂
Features: Ripen
Level: 5
Moves: Tackle, Growth, Astonish
The evolved forms of Applin, Flapple and Appletun, are also Dragon-type Pokémon.
Because the two evolved forms of Applin, Flapple and Appletun, are not very powerful Dragon-type Pokémon, Victor decided not to stay in the Dragon room.
While thinking, Victor did not stop moving and quickly left the Dragon-type room. Although students from other classes were puzzled as to why Victor gave up the fight for the Dragon-type Pokémon, they felt that with one less person, the chances of drawing a good lottery would be greater, so wouldn't that be better?
Afterwards, Victor went to the Fire, Fighting, Flying, and other rooms that no one had shown interest in during the first round, and indeed saw several excellent initial Pokémon.
Pokémon: Charmander
Attribute: Fire
Gender: ♂
Features: Blaze
Level: 5
Moves: Scratch, Growl, Ember
Pokémon: Machop
Attribute: Fighting
Gender: ♀
Features: Guts
Level: 5
Moves: Low Kick, Leer, Focus Energy, Karate Chop
Pokémon: Pidgey
Attribute: Normal, Flying
Gender: ♂
Features: Keen Eye
Level: 5
Moves: Tackle, Growl, Sand Attack, Gust
Victor was going to choose Charmander if time was running out and he hadn't found a better Pokémon.
Bret and silly helped roman and Tessa find good candidates. Their results were also very good. After Victor told them the information, they still had a high chance of being selected.
"Next, there are the Psychic, Ghost, and Rock rooms that I haven't visited yet," Victor thought to himself as he quickened his pace.
Soon, Victor came to the Rock-type room.
After scanning the system, the information about the Pokémon in a row of Poké Balls was clearly visible.
Pokémon: Geodude
Attributes: Rock, Ground
Gender: ♂
Features: Rock Head
Level: 5
Moves: Tackle, Defense Curl, Rock Polish
Pokémon: Onix
Attributes: Rock, Ground
Gender: ♂
Features: Rock Head
Level: 5
Moves: Tackle, Harden, Rock Throw
Most of the Pokémon were quite ordinary, until the information of a special Pokémon appeared in front of Victor.
Pokémon: Carbink [Mutation 5%]
Attributes: Rock, Fairy
Gender: None
Features: Sturdy
Level: 5
Moves: Tackle, Harden, Ancient Power, Reflect, Light Screen
System annotation: This is a special Carbink that, by chance, was bathed in the aura of Xerneas, the Fairy-type Legendary Pokémon, before it was born. Perhaps in the future, it can become a mythical Pokémon – Diancie.
Carbink x Diancie
Diancie!
Before Victor traveled through time, he knew most of the Pokémon, including the sixth generation, the Rock + Fairy-type Mythical Pokémon from the Kalos region – Diancie.
As a mythical Pokémon, Diancie has powerful racial abilities. What's even more amazing is that Diancie also has a further evolutionary ability – Mega Evolution.
After Mega Evolution, Diancie has a dual attack of 160 points and dual defenses and speed of 110 points. The performance is excellent, and these are only the data in the game.
As a real Pokémon, it must have many powerful aspects that are unknown to the public.
With this jewel in front of him, Victor didn't hesitate.
Without further ado, Victor made up his mind, picked up Carbink's Poké Ball, walked out of the Rock-type room, and went to the Alliance staff to register his initial Pokémon.
"Put the Poké Ball and your ID under the machine, and the binding will be completed," the staff explained to Victor.
Although Victor was very excited, he remained calm and calmly followed the instructions on the screen to complete the binding work. The somewhat top-heavy Victor walked out of the room.
After Victor returned to class, roman and Tessa , who were waiting, came up to him and asked excitedly, "How is it? What kind of Pokémon did you choose?"
"It's Carbink," Victor replied.
"Huh? You didn't choose a Dragon or Fire-type Pokémon?"
After hearing Victor's answer, the two of them were very surprised.
Victor actually didn't choose the attribute that his family is good at, but instead chose the Rock + Fairy-type Carbink?
