Minxia raised a brow in confusion.
The Xin she knew would never leave the sect temple without a healer just in case of any accidents.
She narrowed her eyes.
"You... You're the other one, aren't you?!"
The black haired beauty slapped her forehead and let out a long groan.
'Where the heavens is Zhang brother?!'
Then she faced Minxi.
"Firstly, my other side and I are the exact same person! We just... have a different view on life and death than each other... And secondly, it's an emergency. The victim is almost close to death, if not dead already."
"Did you check their aura to see if they were alive or not? Healing sāi can only do so much for a dead person."
Xin's eyes widened slightly in shocking realization.
"I... forgot.."
How could she make such a stupid mistake?!
Xin was someone who kept her aura sensing ability on at all times, even while asleep, but in the process of stalkin... ahem, 'happening to cross paths with Shen' in the Beast Lands, she had to hide her aura and aura sensing ability in order not to attract the attention of the more powerful beasts that would put him in mortal danger.
Who would have known that he almost got done in by a mere awakened realm beast?
Anyways, Minxia had eventually agreed to help out, in exchange for a, in quote, 'very resilient' dual cultivation partner.
The older youth had long since discovered how fun it was to not sit down in meditation for days to advance by a few meagre stages.

Shen had just finished taking his sorry excuse of a bath, and had come out of the shallow body of water, stark nude, when he could feel a gaze piercing at his privates.
'I'm the only one here though...'
Shen shrugged it off and decided to put on his bloodstained robes.
If a beast were to attack now, then it would be a shame for him to die naked.
Xin pulled Minxia down behind a rather huge stalagmite conveniently standing behind the entrance of the dark pathway, and the stream.
She had rushed over with Minxia as fast as she could, expecting to see an unconscious young man on the brink of death, however, she found a pale pair of buttocks instead. The guy had brazenly taken a bath in the middle of the Beast land cavern!
'Doesn't he have any shame?! What if someone were to be following him!'
She dragged down the perverted Minxia whose sharp gaze was focused on a meaty sausage just in time, before Shen felt her gaze.
Minxia licked her lips and turned to face the red faced Xin Chun, there was a strange lustful glare in her eyes, one that Xin knew all too well.
"Forget the deal, I'm gonna dual cultivate with that hunk!"
Xin had just seen something she was not meant to see, and was still disoriented from the shock, but that declaration was just too outrageous, even for Minxia!
"He doesn't even have much sāi and his cultivation realm is at a measly Rank 2, you wouldn't stand to gain anything, he could die, even!"
Minxia raised an eyebrow in confused amusement.
"Not get anything?
Did you see that monster hiding in his trousers?!
I haven't been stuffed full in three full moons now and I need a good big one to ride..."
Xin could do nothing but solemnly shake her head at the lecherousness of her cousin.
'Such a pervert.'
Anyways, it seemed like Shen was up, running, and perfectly okay.
He obviously did not need the healer, and so it was time for them to leave before Minxia would jump him and force herself on him.
"Minxia sister. Let's leave."
Minxia frowned deeply and scowled at Xin.
"What?! Why?"
Xin pouted and folder her arms.
"Because its an invasion of personal space to stalk someone without their permission. You could get into trouble with grandfather, you know."
Hearing the name of her grandfather, Minxia could no longer argue and silently followed Xin out of the narrow passage way.
But she had a question tugging at her mind.
"Xin sister?"
Xin turned to face the older woman and raised a brow.
"Yeah, what is it?"
Minxia held her slender hips and leaned forward with a questioning look on her face.
"Just what were you doing in here in the first place?"

Shen had finished dressing himself and was about to take his leave and go deeper into the cave while looking for awakened level beasts, when he noticed the incandescent crystal covered in grime.
"It'd be a waste to just leave it here, and besides, absorbing it is doing the world good... somehow."
Having cleared his conscience, he picked up the crystal.

[Error: Cannot be absorbed as Host level is too low]
[Option 1: Save]
[Keep the Qi shard in your inventory.
Benefit; Automatic absorption once Host level is high enough] (recommended)
[Option 2: Sell]
[Exchange the Qi shard for coins which in turn can be spent on weapons and materials at the Store after seven days.]
[Option 3: Upgrade crafted weapon]
[Your previously crafted weapon, the Poisonous Peril dagger set, has very a similar affinity to poison. This higher level Qi shard can be combined with the daggers to enhance the poison potency]
Like before, the same holographic screen appeared in front if his nose once again, but this time, instead of being given an option to craft a new weapon, he was given one to upgrade his obsidian daggers.
'I think it's because the spider also had a lethal venom.'
It was obvious which one he should chose though.
"Upgrade."

"Cool."
Shen summoned the onyx daggers in an instant.
The blades were a few shades darker, a few centimetres thinner, and he could feel that the poison was now much, much stronger.
He was literally itching to test the onyx blades on something.
Anything.
And it just so happened that an unfortunate beast generously offered itself up.
