Rose rolled her eyes. She wouldn't throw away such lovely flowers, even if they were from someone she didn't want to have anything to do with.
The chocolates… she lifted them to her nose and took a sniff. They smelled nice. She would eat them.
Finally closing her door, she walked back inside after taking a long time to decide what to do with the flowers.
Tobi was still eating, but when he saw her, he smiled. Then, his small eyes noticed the flowers in her hands.
"Mummy! Flowers!"
"Yes, dear, these are flowers," Rose smiled, placing them on an empty seat before taking her own seat to eat.
Tobi's eyes remained glued to the flowers, as if he couldn't stop looking at them.
"What is it, honey? Do you like the flowers?" Rose asked.
Tobi nodded. She reached out and took one out, handing it to him.
"A single crocus…"
"Tsk, you can have it, dear."
Tobi carefully collected the flower and took a sniff.
