"Come with me, son", He said sternly.
As Gon followed him, he realized something, that was the first time the Duke had called him "son" in a long while.
When they had gotten into the Duke's private study, he shut the door behind them.
He gestured for Gon to take a seat and took a seat opposite him.
"I saw how you slashed his arm", He said. "Was that shadow step?"
Gon's mind spun quickly. He could lie and say it was just luck, and his father might believe.
However, that was unlikely, the Duke was a trained mage who could recognize techniques.
So Gon's best option would be to tell the truth.
However, if he did that, he would need to explain to the Duke how he suddenly developed mana overnight.
After quickly weighing the options, he decided it was better to tell a half truth.
"Yes sir" He said.
The Duke exhaled and leaned back. "But how? You need mana to perform that move".
"And you need to have reached at least an amateur stage of cultivation. So how were you able to do it?"
Gon swallowed. "Well actually father, I have mana now"
This time the Duke leaned forward disbelieving.
Ever since he saw Gon perform the move, he had immediately recognized it.
And a storm of emotions had overwhelmed him.
Firstly, he wondered how Gon had been able to do it.
To do it, Gon would have to have mana.
A small hope began to bloom in his chest that Gon had somehow discovered mana.
But he fought it fiercely, he remembered how desperately he and his wife had tested Gon trying to find even a small spark of mana in him.
It had been futile, they had been disappointed each time as no matter the technique they used, no trace of mana was found in the boy.
Remembering that traumatic moment made him sad again.
So his heart had been wrestling between hope, disappointment and sadness.
However, as Gon confirmed he now had mana, his moods changed to joy, excitement, disbelief and a little nervousness.
"You have mana", He repeated in a cracked voice.
Gon nodded.
"But how?", The Duke asked incredulously.
"I don't know", Gon replied with a small shrug. "I just woke up two days ago and felt the ring of mana around my heart".
"You've known for two days?" The Duke exclaimed. "Why didn't you come tell me immediately?"
"I wanted to be sure", Gon said. "Even till now, I'm still not completely sure".
The Duke nodded. He understood the boy, even he still didn't belive.
"This changes everything you know?", The Duke said and got to his feet. "We will finally stopped being a ridiculed family".
The Duke finally have a worthy heir.
He closed his eyes and sighed with bliss as he enjoyed his imagination.
He then turned to Gon.
"You have to join the competition", He said firmly.
"What competition?", Gon asked in confusion.
"The competition of young mages", The Duke replied. He went back to his desk and began to scribble something.
"I just need to register you. Oh! the kingdom will be so shocked when they see you fighting there".
Gon couldn't help but feel fear. "But father I don't have the skills to compete on such a level".
"Nonsense!", The Duke said. "I saw the way you handled the insolent boy, you'll do just fine".
"We just need to give you some training so you can learn the basics".
Gon saw that the Duke's heart was set and he wouldn't budge on his decision, so he sighed and nodded.
"Okay sir".
"You can go now, let the nurse check you for any wounds", The Duke said absentmindedly reading his letter. "The tournament starts in two days".
Gon bowed and excused himself from the room.
As he walked he checked his profile.
He needed 200 Xp to level up to level 3.
That meant 10 women conquered.
There was no way he could do that before the tournament started. But if he was absolutely determined, he could complete it while the tournament went on.
The tournament of young mages was a three stage competition that included 3 breaks in between.
So if he could manage to hang on for the first stage and then level up before the remaining two, his chances of winning the fights would increase greatly.
The thought soothed him and calmed his nerves as he headed back to his room.
However, he was shocked at what he saw on his bed when he opened the door.
On his bed, Elsa and Ana sat, semi naked and eagerly waiting for him.
They both smiled as he entered the room.
"What is going on?" Gon shouted inwardly.
Had the two of them become so addicted to his attention so fast?
Or was it the system that was influencing their decisions?
Come to think of it, it was called the harem system. It was only expected that the system would try to build a harem of women for him.
It was no wonder Elsa and Ana had been longing for him ever since he first fucked them.
At first, they had been competing between themselves but now it seemed they wanted to share him together.
Or was this another form of competition between them?
Gon scratched his head as he walked to the bed. So many questions and not enough answers.
"What are you two doing here?" He asked with a smirk on his face.
The two girls blushed slightly.
"We were waiting for you", Ana said in her tiny voice.
Gon continued to smirk as he began to take off his pants.
"Really? And why is that?" He asked.
The two of them blushed again.
Gon chuckled lightly. "What, you guys can't talk?"
The two girls continued to blush and didn't respond.
Gon then walked to the bed. "You guys want me to fuck you together?", He said as he sat at their middle.
Ana nodded slowly. "Yes we do"
"You're in luck, then", Gon replied. "Because I need to fuck two women right now".
