Alex carefully observing the old book and the red gem.
There is nothing written in the old book other than the dragon picture on the cover, which gives it a really ancient feeling. For the time being, he kept it aside and began examining the red crystal.
The carving on the crystal is exquisite and beautiful. Alex senses that it contains the element of fire and his blood powerfully resonates with it. this crimson crystal is no ordinary gemstone.
Once a person fuses with a gem, usually at level 5, they will get more powerful. After all, a level 3 elite body is not powerful enough to endure the ferocious energy included in beast gems.
Alex is more excited to discover his innate ability. He anticipates it will be a powerful offensive ability that will make it easier for him to hunt Beasts.
Elites typically strive to evolve their innate ability after reaching level 10, despite the fact that they can awaken another ability beyond level 10. While fighting, they can use familiar abilities to impose extra power.
Alex recalls his teacher mentioning him that evolving or awakening new abilities is more important, and that we must be careful about which affects our future level ups.
Alex walks with the crystal to the meditation room's center mat. Alex took a seat and set the gem in front of him. His teacher showed him how to unite his soul and body
Alex is so excited that he can't concentrate, so everything takes longer than normal. After a while, he attained the oneness state, and he was able to feel the elements in worldly energy and absorb the fire element more quickly. He can sense changes in the atmosphere; more fire elements are gathering around him. Alex tries to bear it even though it is growing unpleasant. He wanted to scream, but his resolve got the better of him. He didn't want to let his teacher down.
Alex's body is so full of energy that he wants to reach level 3 in one shot. He can no longer contain his energy after accumulating so much. He began to broke through level 3.
Alex's body was emitting a constant 'bang' sound. He tries to sit still but can't, and he fall down and twitches nonstop. Fire energy was coursing through his body. "Am I going to die?" Alex wonders.
Alex felt very peaceful. He always wanted to prove himself to his teacher. There's a saying: "They say you die twice. One time when you stop breathing, and a second time, a bit later on, when somebody says your name for the last time". When he recalls how everyone will forget about his existence one day, he becomes terrified. In his last breath, he decided that if he's going to die, then so be it, but he doesn't want to die without fighting.
Alex tries to sit back straight, but he can't; it takes every effort for him to sit back down. His body is being attacked by heat energy. He is coughing up blood and he can't take it anymore.
The one drop of blood directly absorbed onto the red crystal. All of a sudden, Alex felt a connection to the stone. The crystal abruptly changed into a magnificent red-crimson dragon. It feels like the room is about to melt due to the abrupt rise in temperature.
The red dragon that had been changed arose in the air, released a terrifying aura, and then entered Alex's body. Alex felt a warm sensation all over his body. His body is healing rapidly, and he could feel his body growing strongly. He reached Level 3 instantly.
The crimson dragon inside his body sucking all the fire element energy instantly and then breathes violent fire, which replaces all the fire element in Alex's body. The dragon breath is fundamentally different from normal fire; everyone knows fire is weak against water. If Alex could use dragon fire, he could easily fight against water element users.
Alex understands that his life is going to change. He didn't know the origin of the gem, he has to ask his teacher Michael. He can only ask him after his return from his mission.
Alex's eyes started glowing all of a sudden; he could feel something changed in his eyes. His crimson eyes look more radiant than before, and it seems his eyesight has improved. He can feel the minute changes happening in his surroundings with his eyes closed. He couldn't feel any other changes. Alex doesn't know whether to laugh or cry; it seems he awakened his innate ability, which has only improved his vision and other senses.
His entire body ached from fatigue. He set the ancient book aside and shut his eyes to relax.
He gradually fell asleep. After he closed his eyes, he is not aware that major changes were happening in his body. The magic energy in the surroundings are absorbed by his body and dragon pattern is formed slowly on his chest. Alex is on deep sleep ,so he is not aware of changes happening in his body. The dargon pattern slowly forming looks similiar to the dragon who portrayed in the old book .
When Alex opened his eyes , the sky already turns bright. He could hear birds making sounds clearly.
Alex closed his eyes and tries to observe the changes in his body.
He was shocked to find that he is very close to next level up. He didn't expect that one day cultivation would surpass his three months hard work.
