It was the launch day of the newest VR game boasting 100% immersion, a concept so groundbreaking that Seln himself found it hard to believe. Yet, curiosity and the buzz around it had brought him here, cash in hand, ready to claim his copy.
The line crawled at a snail's pace under the blazing sun, and Seln, dressed for convenience rather than comfort, regretted not coming better prepared. His shirt clung to him, drenched with sweat, and he couldn't help but wish he had known to bring a spare. The hours dragged on, as the sun bore down mercilessly.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity of torment, it was Seln's turn. With hurried excitement, he completed his purchase and made a beeline for home. Seln quickly unboxed his own vr set and wore it laying down on his bed and clicking the button at the side, few moments after his consciousness drifted apart from his body entering a slumbering state. He found himself in a dark expanse of space but somehow he's standing on a solid platform, A floating number above him slowly counted down.

The notification snapped out Seln from his fruitless actions and heard a voice resound in his ears. "Welcome to Ascension!", "Ascension is the name of this game, huh?" Seln commented as a system materialized infront of him.

A blinding light consumed Seln vision, his surroundings shifted in an instant and the familiar black expanse was no more, instead he was greeted by a soft breeze that brushed passed against his skin and the smell of pine woods and dancing flowers complemented the beauty of the village.
"Yellowstone village... ", Seln muttered, he looked around and saw houses with all kinds of designs, npcs or children played around while the adults watched over them, others were doing buisness giving quests to players like him giving a sense of realism like one would feel in the real world, "Amazing!" Seln was excited, eager to progress.
