Chereads / MHA: All For Me / Chapter 6 - Another Two Months

Chapter 6 - Another Two Months

It has been another two months. So four months since I woke up in this world and I have six months left before the entrance exam.

I had been thinking about what type of quirk I wished to use during the entrance exam. So far I don't really have anything that would be good in a fight. Growth Surge has made me a lot stronger in a short amount of time but that doesn't count.

Somehow people were able to believe Izuku had some crazy strong quirk in the show while his mom and dad had relatively mundane quirks like attraction of small objects and fire breathing.

But it made sense. Quirks were literal super powers and people did sometimes get quirks that were completely different from their parents. Plus Izuku had All Might on his side and the people that would ask questions already knew how he got his quirk.

It's not going to be the same for me. People would ask questions if suddenly I could teleport. I might even have more attention on me since important people will know that Izuku has One For All.

I can imagine a world where All Might could assume that All For One is alive and gave me a quirk just to mess with him or something like that.

But if I can cultivate a quirk that is pretty similar to one of my parent's quirk then I feel like It would be believable that I'm just a late bloomer.

With all of this in mind, I stole my mothers quirk.

[Attraction Of Small Objects: Allows the user to exert a telekinetic-like ability to draw small objects toward themselves]

Shocking? I know.

I had been watching Inko for a while and noting down any patterns I saw with her using her quirk.

Usually I'm at school so the weekends were really the only time I had to strike. So one weekend I woke up hours before Inko usually woke up and stole her quirk.

She didn't feel a thing.

I then ran to the park and gave the quirk to an animal and then had the animals start breeding again. Eventually one of the animals inherited a copy of Inko's quirk and I was able to return the original back to my slumbering mother.

Attraction Of Small Objects was a pretty weak quirk. I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just that power wise it was weak on its own. But if someone with enough skill used it I can imagine them using it really well in various ways. It could also be that Inko didn't train enough. I understand that quirks are a lot like muscles so they can grow if you strain it.

Either way, right now it was a weak quirk and I really don't want to go through the effort of straining it. I'd much rather take it back once generations of animal breeding had improved it strength wise.

But first I needed to adjust it.

When I hold a quirk within me I am able to manipulate it a little. I can't turn a quirk that lets you breathe fire into one that lets you manipulate gravity but I am able to turn that fire breathing quirk into one that lets you breathe ice.

You get the idea right. So instead of a quirk that attracts small objects I was able to manipulate it to allow both attraction and repulsion. The only problem with doing that was that it got a lot weaker. It now worked only on grains of sand. But that was fine—for now, it was a seedling I'd nurture into full-blown telekinesis.

But that's alright. Eventually, with many generations of animals, the quirk would become a lot more powerful. And I would keep on manipulating it until it became full on telekinesis.

Anyway, other than focusing on that I had also focused on plagiarizing my video game.

Eventually I was able to finish it. Now I just need to publish it. The funny thing is that the Steam game store actually exists here so it just seemed like the obvious choice because it was just so popular.

One slight problem with that though. I needed 100 dollars. And a bank account. Both of which I didn't have.

"Hey mom?" I say with all the shame of a child that wanted to ask for something big from their parents.

"Yes sweetie?" Inko says confidently without turning to look at me. Her recent weight loss and new height had given her back the confidence she had lost over the years.

"Can I have 15,000 yen?" She stiffens at the Japanese equivalent of 100 USD.

It was a lot of money. If anyone says it's not then they are either lying or their family is wealthy enough that they have grown up with a warped sense of money.

"Why oh why would you ever need that much?" My mother says sternly as she turns around slowly to look at me. "Is someone extorting you?"

What does she think I get up to when I'm out of the house? Joining gangs or something?

"Why would you even think that? It's the publishing fee on the Steam game store. I want to try my luck at publishing a game. Maybe we can make some money with it." I replied.

"Hm. Have you already made a game? Is that what you've been doing on the computer all this time?" She asked.

"Yes! It took a while but I finished my first game. I think It could be really successful mom." I replied enthusiastically.

"I'm happy you've been doing something you enjoy. I've spent more on Izuku's All Might toys so I don't mind it." She said while looking at me fondly and patting my head like I was a little boy again.

"Thanks mom! Uh… also can you help me open a bank account?" I ask for even more.

She giggled at that but agreed.

That was how that conversation went.

I was never going to get over how embarrassing it was to ask for things from your family. I know it's natural, your family is supposed to take care of you after all, but I just grew up never asking for things like this so it was weird.

Anyway, the next day Inko took me to a bank and opened a bank account in my name that she had control over. I guess when I became an adult the account would be relinquished to me but for now she has full control of what happens with it.

Now with the money to publish the game, and a bank account to receive payments, I was ready to do this.

I set up the Steam store page, filled out the relative info and that was that.

Feelings of accomplishment come over me.

Now I just have to wait for the money to roll in.
