Chapter 6 - First Plans

The next morning after waking up, Kaitou didn't immediately went up to study the basic Fūinjutsu scroll his father gave him the previous day, but rather pondered about his plans going forward. With the quest now received he really had to start making concrete plans for his journey.

With the time remaining till the founding, he still had many possible routes he could take, but one thing was certain and the same in every possible plan he came up with. He had to at least have a basic relationship to the truly important people. While some were quite easy, like with Hashirama and Mito, even more with Tobirama, but beyond them right now it was difficult.

'Haaagh, I truly don't know how I can approach Madara and the Uchiha overall without it seeming weird. While it wouldn't be that hard doing so after the founding, at that time interacting with Madara would be near impossible, as he would leave soon after the meeting and only come back after a few years for his legendary battle with Hashirama,' he wasn't sure on how to proceed on this front, while the most other routes wouldn't be hard for him to follow, he didn't wish for Madara to suffer the same fate as he did in the original story.

'Maybe I should just go with the curious nephew route for now and try to meet him when I were to visit Aunt Mito and Uncle Hashirama and Tobirama. Though, that would certainly be embarrassing. Whatever, sacrifices must be made, even if that requires me to sacrifice my dignity and act like a curious and intrusive child.' with the plans for the long-term made, he went on to the his short-term possibilities.

His immediate actions are very restricted for now, as he was still only one year old after all. Even if his father allowed him to start with Fūinjutsu already, that was more because of what the Uzumaki Clan represents, rather than for me to actually grow.

'Right now i should completely focus on Fūinjutsu, after all, even exercising was scheduled for me to only star in a year, and further training, such as Kenjutsu, even later… I really hope I can cut that short at least by a few months. The system should be able to help me in completing the basic scrolls faster than father expects me to, after that it would be for the best to appear as a prodigy even among the clan when it comes to Fūinjutsu, as that could potentially bring me closer to the Flying Thunder God – Technique of Uncle, which would make many things way easier going forward,' the immediate plans now finished and organized, he got up, dressed himself after a short bath, and was then called for breakfast.

The meal took merely a few minutes in which he ate and chatted with his mother in a relaxed manner, when they were finished with their breakfast he excused himself promptly and soon went on to study the scrolls, leaving his mother, slightly bewildered behind. She hadn't expected him to have such an interest in Fūinjutsu, though, it made her smile lightly.

After arriving in his newly prepared study, he quickly spread out the scroll on his desk and began his study session.

As soon as he started, he activated his other new Skill [Study]

[Study (active) – Lvl 2

The user will get a 2% boost on learning new things as long as the skill is activated. The boost depends on the level of the skill.

Cost: 1 Sp per minute]

The effects of the skill were immediate, his mind became sharper and he was even more focused on the scroll in front of him. Though, only level two, the skill worked wonders as he seemingly absorbed the contents of the scroll in real time as he immersed himself fully.

[Warning! The users stamina is too low for the skill to remain active, it is recommended to quickly deactivate the skill and take a rest]

Sadly, after about 27 minutes his concentration was interrupted by the system alert and he decided to follow the advice and rest than to just pass out in a few minutes.

30 minutes later, Kaitou was once again fully energized. After checking out his status and seeing the full Sp bar, he quickly went back to studying the scroll along with the [Study] skill.

Not even 5 minutes later he was once again pulled out of his learning mode by another system prompt, after already being disturbed he quickly checked i out and to his delight his [Basic Sealing Arts] has already leveled up once and was now on Lvl 2.

Hyped up by this development he immersed himself into his study once more and continued on.

Kaitou then went on to continue this routine of waking up early, eating breakfast with his family, only to then fully embrace the role of the dedicated Studiengang study till it was time for dinner.

In this manner soon a month passed.

Surprisingly Kaitou didn't only study the scroll in this time frame, but also continued to deepened his relationship with his family, as even Mito and his two Uncles found the time to visit once, in the time frame.

Also, thanks to his strong dedication and relentless study he managed to completely memorize the first Basic Sealing scroll his father handed him. A small problem arose when he thought to have completed the scroll, his [Basic Sealing Arts] skill remained at Lvl 9.

Despite his rapid progress, Kaitou couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. He could replicate the seals from the scrolls with perfect precision and understood their structure theoretically, but something still felt incomplete. It was as if he had only scratched the surface.

Sitting cross-legged in his room, he contemplated his options. 'I must be missing a crucial step. These seals look fine on paper, but they feel… lifeless.' Realizing he needed guidance, Kaitou decided to seek out his father.

Knocking firmly on the door to Kazuto's study, Kaitou waited until he heard the usual "Enter" before stepping inside. His father looked up from a scroll he had been reading, his sharp eyes focusing on his son.

"What brings you here, Kaitou?" Kazuto asked, his voice steady but curious.

"Father, I need your guidance," Kaitou began confidently. "I've completed the scroll you gave me, but I feel like I'm not fully understanding the seals. I'm not sure why, but the seals that I inscribe just don't feel complete and in some sense, lifeless."

Kazuto raised an eyebrow, momentarily pausing. "You've already finished the scroll?"

Kaitou nodded. "Yes, but I can't activate the seals. But the seals just don't fully work."

Kazuto leaned back in his chair, folding his arms. "It's impressive that you've come this far so quickly, but you're correct - seals are lifeless, to change this, you will need to imbue chakra into them. However, at your age, it's too soon for a full chakra unlocking. Your body isn't ready for such strain, we can fully unlock it when we start your physical training. Still, I can guide you to sense and draw on a small amount of your latent chakra. That should suffice for basic seals for now."

Kaitou's eyes lit up with determination. "Thank you, Father. I'll do my best."

Kazuto rose from his chair and gestured for Kaitou to follow him to the center of the study, where a soft mat lay on the floor.

"Sit down and close your eyes," Kazuto instructed. Kaitou obeyed, his small frame settling onto the mat. "Now, focus inward. Imagine a warm, flowing energy deep in your stomach. That is your chakra. Let me guide you."

Placing a hand gently on Kaitou's back, Kazuto infused a faint trace of his own chakra into his son's system. Kaitou immediately felt a subtle warmth spreading through his core, like a soft current flowing within him.

"Feel that?" Kazuto asked.

"Yes," Kaitou whispered, his voice filled with awe.

"That's your chakra. Now, I want you to try and nudge it - just a little. Guide it to your hands."

Following his father's instructions, Kaitou focused intently. The sensation of chakra was faint and flickering, like a candle in a breeze. With tremendous effort, he managed to guide a small amount to his palms.

"Good," Kazuto said, his tone impressed. "That's enough for now. Let's see if you can use it on one of the seals."

Kazuto handed him a practice sheet with a simple storage seal drawn on it. Kaitou placed his hands on the seal, feeling the residual warmth of chakra in his palms. Concentrating, he imagined the chakra flowing into the lines of the seal.

To his delight, the seal glowed faintly, activating for a brief moment before fading.

"I did it!" Kaitou exclaimed, unable to suppress his excitement.

Kazuto's gaze softened with pride. "You've taken your first step, Kaitou. Remember, seals are tools, but chakra is the life force that powers them. Continue practicing, and your understanding will deepen."

For the next several hours, Kaitou worked diligently, activating and deactivating seals under his father's supervision. By the end of the day, his comprehension of the techniques grew significantly.

That night, as Kaitou reflected on the day's achievements, a familiar blue screen appeared before him:

[System Alert]

[Congratulations! The skill [Basic Sealing Arts] has reached Level 10 and evolved into [Intermediate Sealing Arts]!]

[You have now fully unlocked the category *Fūinjutsu*, any sealing skills will from now on get automatically sorted into this category]

Kaitou's lips curled into a satisfied smile as he closed the screen. With his progress accelerating and his first taste of chakra control achieved, he was more determined than ever to master the art of Fūinjutsu.
