LUCY POV.
It was boring. A lot boring without my mate beside me.
For some reason, he had suddenly left the castle, unbeknownst to me. He had actually offered me breakfast and even ate with me but though, he left the castle immediately after breakfast.
Without my mate beside me or in the castle, my whole day seemed to be boring. And to make it worse, the demons in the castle weren't the type one would like to talk to. They won't even want to talk to the devil's mate, for fear of incurring the wrath of the devil.
If I wasn't wrong,it Should be exactly noon time by now. There were neither lightnings nor thunders that usually crackled in the sky of the kingdom of darkness. It was just a clear plain of dark sky.
I am in my bedroom or should I say the bedroom I and my mate shared. We could have easily gotten separate rooms but, when we both got mated,we just couldn't do without each other,so we had to share the same bedroom.
Currently, I am sitting on the beautifully designed bed that was quite soft. I had changed the black bedsheets on this bed and replaced it with a colourful red bedsheet. Infact, the whole room was awesomely designed by me. However, my mate never complained about it.
Anyways, sitting on the bed, I rested my head on my knees. It made me look like a little girl crying but I don't really care.
Staring into the distance, my mind was preoccupied. Even though the whole castle is boring, that didn't stop me from having a fantasy with my thoughts.
After staring into the distance for what seemed like an hour, I decided to lay my head down on the pillow and I did just that. The boring day really called for me to take a nap but I knew I didn't want to sleep.
Anyways, during the past few days,a lot has happened.
With my son wanting to become a monster by commiting evil deeds right from a young age, my mate is really preoccupied with with finding out why my son wants to do that. Especially when he just confirmed that something had happened to Drake at the age when he had started commiting evil deeds.
I don't know how he was able to confirm that theory, but I just hope all ends well.
Sometimes, I do congratulate myself for stepping in,in time to stop my son from changing into the monster. For taking a brave decision and stabbing my own son, rightly close to his heart and also breaking a piece of the chains hardening his heart.
Sometimes, I feel like a hero for doing that but I also I'm grateful that my mate didn't die when he was stabbed by our own son.
With me occupied with my thoughts, maybe the boring day and the boredom would clear off.

With time, even my thoughts were not enough to clear the boredom I was feeling. It was just so boring today that I feel like I should curse my mate for ever leaving the castle.
But maybe he had something to do today that he had to leave. Nevertheless, he never ever leaves the castle. He is always in the castle and if I am not wrong, this is the first in a millennial that had actually left the castle.
Not long after,an idea popped into my mind and I couldn't help but giggle. It was like a bulb in my head had been lit up.
But anyways,ever since my son had been bounded and imprisoned in the prison cage, I hadn't set my eyes on him.
It wouldn't be that bad if I go visit him, besides, it's not like Sandraino is going to get angry.
Visiting my son would be a great idea to clear my boredom and also, I haven't seen him in a while. Only Sandraino had, and he didn't even tell me what had transpired during his visit.
Rising up slowly from the bed, I decided to have a change of clothes.
I wanted to look a lot presentable before my son, not like I'm trying to seduce him or something. Just wanted to look my best since I'm going to be visiting him.
Taking a few steps to the wardrobe Sandraino had set up for me, I opened it. I squinted my eyes and I ransacked it, looking for a presentable dress to wear.
Not long after, my eyes came in contact with a red trouser and red cloak.
I could remember vividly that this set of clothes was what I had worn on my first day coming to the kingdom of darkness. That was when I was still living with my mom, the moon goddess in heaven.
Wearing it again would make me look sharp.
If you all don't know, Sandraino had precisely fallen in love with me most particularly because of this dress I had worn.
Deciding to wear the outfit, I took it out from the wardrobe and immediately hurried into the dressing room.
Minutes later, I came out of the dressing room, looking quite astonishing. I was currently wearing a red trouser, with a red long sleeve shirt and a red cloak. Making me almost look like a red ghost.
I smiled a beautiful smile as I took a good look at myself through the mirror. I was really beautiful as they all say.
But anyways, I snapped my fingers and a red crown appeared on my head, balancing my red clothes well on my body.
Taking another look at myself in the mirror, I could see that I really did look like a red ghost.
Just before I could step out of the bedroom,a knock sounded on the door.
I sighed before even answering.
"Come in".
The door opened revealing a robust soul demon. She was wearing black clothes,so was her cap. Though,her skin color is blue in all.
She bowed before me as expected and greeted.
"Good afternoon, my Lady".
I turned to look at the head chef in the devil's castle.
"Good afternoon, Lorena".
I greeted back with a smile.
Lorena wasn't taken aback, that I had greeted her back. It wasn't the first time I was greeting a demon and it won't be the last.
I treated all demons as friends and I loved them all. They could actually be great people despite the fact that they are demons.
I stared at Lorena, patiently waiting for her to reveal what she was here for and she seemed to get the signal.
She hurriedly cleared her throat and put up a smile.
"Sorry for disturbing you, my Lady. But I noticed you have been in your room all this while since our Lord went out. I just wanted to check up on you and maybe keep you company".
My smile widened hearing her words. Kinda considerate but I knew that she was a very ruthless demon.
"Thanks Lorena, that's well appreciated by me but as you can see, I'm fine. I'm about heading out so there's no need of keeping me company".
I spoke with a kind voice that I could muster. Actually, I would have needed her to accompany me to the prison cage but it's better I don't.
Lorena gave a nod and turned while leaving the bedroom. She closed the door slowly. Maybe she's not used to a rose flower door.
After some time, I set out to visit the prison cage which I learned was underground the castle. Getting to it, I would have to pass through a lot of tunnels but I didn't have to go through that stress. I could easily teleport myself to the door of the prison cage. Easy way to do things.
I came out of the bedroom, closing the door behind me. Looking left and right, there were at least,five demon castle guards in the area of the bedroom.
Actually,they stood a little bit far from the bedroom. It seems, Sandraino doesn't trust his demons of not laying a hand on me. You all know I'm the most beautiful woman that ever existed,so it's quite normal for demons to go extremely crazy for me.
But since I am mated to the devil,they won't dare to lay their hands on me.
One of the benefits of being mated to the devil. But what about being mated to the son of the devil?
I easily teleported to the door of the prison cage. I found myself in front of the mysterious silver door with my mate's mark on it.
I knew I could easily open the mysterious door because I have the devil's mark on me.
Cutting a piece of my palm open with a pin that was once in my hair, blood dropped on the bed. This blood was just like any other normal blood but right on the ground,it formed a circle.
A reddish light appeared in front of me and the reddish light formed a strange symbol which is the devil's mark.
The mark went into the door and the door popped open like an automatic door.
I took a breath in and I stepped into the dark prison cage behind the door. The door closed behind me and I took my gaze deeper into the prison cage.
Two massive soul demons appeared before me. They bowed before me and I flashed them a smile.
The whole prison cage was dark and it was hard to see even more than a meter but using magic, I illuminated the whole prison cage.
I waved my hand a little and a bright red light emerged, Illuminating the whole prison cage.
I walked deeper into the prison cage and in no time, my eyes caught sight of a huge cage. It was made of metal and not crystalline stones.
Normally,devils like my son and his father are a little bit allergic to metals. Not that they can't touch metals but somehow,they have a low resistance to the reaction metals cause to their skin. Maybe that's the reason why my mate had used a metal cage to imprison Drake.
Inside the huge cage was my son, Drake,who was strangely staring back at me without saying a word.
I flashed him a lovely smile, genuinely happy to see that he was okay, though he was in an angrier state.
He growled noisily at me, maybe because of my smile.
I tried to step closer to the cage and peradventure,touch him. But before I could do that, the two massive soul demons stop me immediately.
"My Lady, you are not supposed to move any closer to the cage. He might get to hurt you".
One of the soul demons said to me with a hint of warning. I turned to him and smiled.
"Why?"
He only smirked while the other answered me. I guess they were twins or maybe brothers cause they don't look alike.
"That's because he has been getting quite aggressive with the passing hours, so please don't go near to him so that you won't get hurt".
The other soul demon answered my question. Though his answer really got me a lot worried.
Turning my gaze back to my son in the cage, I could see the mocking smirk on his face.
"Don't tell me you are surprised with the report those two fools gave to you. I told you all, I will become a monster whether you all like it or not".
He said and he laughed out loud, mockingly.
