Finn Ryder leaned back in his chair, his eyes fixed on Sharon as she walked into his office. She was a beautiful woman, but Finn could see the desperation in her eyes.
"Sharon, what can I do for you?" Finn asked, his voice smooth.
Sharon smiled, her eyes fluttering. "I just wanted to welcome you to the company, Mr. Ryder."
Finn raised an eyebrow. "Please, call me Finn."
Sharon's smile widened. "Finn, then."
Finn leaned forward, his eyes locked on Sharon's. "I hear you're quite the socialite around here."
Sharon's eyes sparkled. "I like to think of myself as a people person."
Finn chuckled. "I'll bet."
Just then, Finn's phone rang. He answered, listening for a moment before responding.
"Ah, Alexandra. I'll send someone to give you a tour of the office," Finn said, hanging up the phone.
Sharon's eyes lit up. "I'd be happy to give her a tour."
Finn raised an eyebrow. "I'll ask Ava to do it."
But Sharon was already standing up, a smile plastered on her face. "No, no, I'd be happy to do it. I'm sure I can show her around."
Finn sighed, shaking his head. "Suit yourself."
Sharon walked out of the office, a confident smile on her face.
As she approached Alexandra, who was standing by the reception desk, Sharon's smile faltered for a moment.
"Hi, I'm Sharon," Sharon said, extending her hand.
Alexandra looked at Sharon's hand, then back at her face. "I'm Alexandra Ryder."
Sharon's smile returned, but it looked a bit forced. "It's nice to meet you. I'm here to give you a tour of the office."
Alexandra's eyes narrowed. "You're wearing a lot of perfume."
Sharon's face flushed. "Oh, yeah. I just put some on this morning."
Alexandra's voice was cool. "It's a bit overpowering."
Sharon's face grew hotter. "I'll try to remember that."
The office was silent, everyone watching the exchange between Sharon and Alexandra.
Ava, who was standing by the coffee machine, couldn't help but feel a sense of amusement.
Just then, Alexandra turned to Finn, who was standing by his office door.
"I think I'd like someone else to give me a tour of the office," Alexandra said, her voice cool.
Finn raised an eyebrow. "Ava, would you mind giving my sister a tour?"
Ava smiled, walking over to Alexandra. "I'd be happy to."
As Ava and Alexandra walked off, Sharon's face was a picture of embarrassment and frustration.
The office erupted into stifled laughter, everyone trying to hold back their giggles.
Alex, who was sitting at his desk, looked up, a confused expression on his face. "What's going on?" he asked, looking around the office.
Sharon shot him a dirty look. "Nothing, Alex. Just mind your own business."
Alex looked taken aback, but he quickly recovered. "Oh, okay. Sorry."
As Finn watched Sharon's embarrassed face, he couldn't help but feel a sense of amusement.
"Sharon, I think you've done enough for today," Finn said, his voice cold and detached.
Sharon's face flushed, but she tried to recover. "Of course, Finn. I just wanted to make a good impression."
Finn's eyes narrowed. "I think you've made your impression, Sharon. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have work to do."
Sharon's face fell, and she quickly scurried away, trying to save what was left of her dignity.
As the day went on, the office returned to normal, with everyone focusing on their work.
But Finn couldn't shake the feeling that Sharon was going to be a problem.
