Chapter 5 - Episode 5 Sanctify

Scene: Despite the daunting task ahead, Trizo found himself transported back to his youthful days, a mere 12-year-old once more, all thanks to the relentless battle he had fought against the formidable Rinoa, the Serene demon. Rinoa had cursed him with a malevolent spell, allowing him to manipulate time and regress his age at will.

Now, at the age of 27, Haribuki had become a teacher at the prestigious Deindra magic school, molding young minds into formidable soldiers for the battlefield. After a decade of separation, she laid eyes upon Trizo once again, urging him to return to the academy to survive the escalating chaos. Trizo had to reacquaint himself with his dormant abilities and skills, honing them to combat the ever-growing threat of the demons. The lack of soldiers from Deindra had resulted in a surge of casualties, leaving the nation in dire need of skilled warriors. Deindra and Galiza stood as the only two magical military training schools in the entire world, both founded by the esteemed magic council, a division of the nation's government. This council, composed of six remarkable individuals, including Haribuki's father, Amon Rikka, and Trizo's father, Seikurion Keirin, had fought valiantly in numerous wars, shaping the nation into what it had become. Prieta, aged 58, Rhillon, aged 55, Xlmoi, aged 56, and Naiben, aged 48, completed the council, each leaving their indelible mark on history.

Now, Trizo found himself training alongside Haribuki in the hallowed halls of the magic academy, striving to regain his former powers and abilities.

Haribuki, with a tinge of regret in her voice, expressed the unfortunate reality of their situation. Time was not on their side, leaving no room for a comprehensive training program. They would have to bypass the basics and delve straight into the advanced arts, some of which Trizo had never even encountered during his youth.

Trizo, realizing the gravity of the situation, questioned if there were any alternatives.

Haribuki, with a solemn tone, replied, "I'm afraid not. We have no choice but to take this path. And let me be clear, I won't be able to go easy on you. It may take months, or even years, for you to regain the ability to wield even novice-grade spells."

As the scene unfolds, Haribuki is about to lay the lines down for Trizo during his training.

Scene: Trizo, despite the dimness of his mana energy, focuses his concentration and begins to charge it up. He watches as Haribuki's mana mystical fire powers swirl around her, glowing bright red. The intensity of her powers serves as a reminder of the long journey ahead of him.

Haribuki: Remember, Trizo, it's not just about regaining your powers. It's about honing your skills and adapting to the ever-growing threat of demons. We need you to be at your best, even if it means starting from scratch.

Trizo: I understand, Haribuki. I'm willing to put in the time and effort to become the warrior I once was. I won't let the demons continue to wreak havoc on our world.

Haribuki: That's the spirit, Trizo. We'll work together, pushing each other to our limits. It won't be easy, but I have faith in your determination.

As Trizo continues to charge his mana energy, he can't help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension. The road ahead may be arduous, but he knows that with Haribuki's guidance and his own unwavering resolve, he can overcome any obstacle.

Together, they stand in the magic hall, ready to embark on a journey of rediscovery and redemption. The fate of their world rests on their shoulders, and they are determined to rise to the challenge.

Haribuki's assault on Trizo was relentless, her speed and force causing him to crash into the unforgiving stone walls. As the dust settled, Trizo found himself immobilized, unable to even twitch a muscle. Despite his best efforts to protect himself with basic magical defenses, Haribuki's power overwhelmed him. The urgency of the situation weighed heavily on Haribuki, knowing that time was running out and Trizo's weakness was hindering their progress.

Without warning, Haribuki charged at Trizo once again, smashing his face into the unyielding walls of the training hall. Gasping for breath and struggling to see through the debris, Trizo realized that he had no choice but to fight back if he wanted to survive and catch up to his fellow academy students. The desire to prove himself and regain his former strength burned within him.

Summoning his determination, Trizo launched an attack on Haribuki. However, his efforts were swiftly met with a powerful punch to the gut, causing him to cough uncontrollably and gag on his own saliva. Haribuki then lifted him high into the air, gripping his arms tightly before slamming him into the ground with a bone-jarring impact. As if that wasn't enough, she hurled him once more while conjuring a massive fire blast from her fingertips, aimed directly at Trizo. Bracing himself, he took the full force of the flames, only to be further assaulted as Haribuki mercilessly stomped on him with her specially crafted iron boots.

Amid his pain and frustration, Trizo couldn't help but exclaim his dissatisfaction. Haribuki, however, shared his sentiment, understanding the urgency of his recovery. They couldn't afford to waste any time on the basics; Trizo needed to be built back up immediately, surpassing his former strength and regaining his lost abilities.

Trizo's spirit wavered as he witnessed his inability to fight as he once had, while Haribuki showed no mercy. She had grown even stronger since their last encounter, even after the Rinoa fight.

Haribuki, now in charge and the leading teacher at Deindra Magic Academy, was less than thrilled about the prospect of having to retrain Trizo. The conditions were far from ideal, leaving no room for compromise. Trizo had no option but to engage in intense battles with Haribuki, gradually regaining his proficiency in basic spells and eventually progressing to class A spells. Currently, his repertoire consists solely of class C defensive spells.

Trizo: I can now cast a few energy spells!

Scene: Trizo begins channeling energy into his hands, assuming a unique and ancient stance. The technique he is about to employ is known as the Zero Wave, a surge of energy that is stored within the body and released through the hands. Trizo swiftly charges up the energy and launches it towards Haribuki. Witnessing the colossal energy blast hurtling towards her, Haribuki harnesses her mana, seizing the blast and restraining its power.

Haribuki: Now we're talking! It seems you can still muster a significant amount of mana, considering you had no choice but to utilize over 98% of your reserves in an attempt to compensate. You're expending far more energy than you possess! And that's precisely what you'll need to do from now on!

Scene: As Haribuki holds back the blast, Trizo pushes himself to his absolute limits.

Trizo crumbles to the ground, his strength drained and his spirit shattered. But fear not, for Haribuki swoops in like a majestic hero and lends a helping hand.

Haribuki: Well, well, well, look who's finally making some progress. You're not as pathetic as you used to be, I'll give you that. Maybe, just maybe, you're inching your way toward the coveted Cascade Knight level. You know, the crème de la crème of our little order. Of course, there are a measly six ranks in total: Trainee, Monda Soldier, Nolece, Elrein, Shalen Knight, and the almighty Cascade Knight.

Back in the day, during the epic demon war that happened a couple of years ago, you were at least at the Nolece level. I had higher hopes for you, though. It's a shame you took such a nosedive in your abilities, strength, and mana reserves. But hey, maybe pushing you to your limits has actually taught you a thing or two about properly utilizing your mana force. It's about time, really.
