Listening to the ghost, Max's mind went numb. He couldn't think about anything. He just stared at the ghost not knowing how to react.
"I know it's shocking and confusing. Hear me out. Even I don't know how we ended up in this situation, the last thing I remember was that I was sleeping in my mansion peacefully after going through a rigorous training from my father. But when I opened my eyes again I was detached from my body and was wandering around trying to find my body. While doing that I found you. As far how I can read your mind, I still have some connection to my body, because of that I can hear whatever you are thinking."
Listening to what the ghos- real Zhavrik said, Max couldn't help but roll his eyes. How come a soul be detached from it's body without the owner feeling a thing, this definitely needs some high rank magic, not something anybody can pull off.' Did those fanatics from church do this, or people from devildom went after him?. But why will they do that. Mayb because of his bloodline? Are they trying to control the Thaloreins using Zhavrik. But if that was case, how will they pull it off?. They should know that Zhavrik's father is a madman. Even without the bloodline he stands at the pinnacle of the humans. He can easily find out the changes in his son's body. Especially regarding his son's soul. Doing all this out of the world soul detaching magic will definitely leave some clue behind. How are they planning to escape from this. Hmm is this the reason that they kept Zhavrik for 10 years?. Tsk it's so messed up, why am I entangled in all those things.'
Again cursing he was pondering about the situation he was in.
Ghost Zhavrik looking at him smiled. " Now that I went through your memories, I think I can understand some of the things. To begin with even I don't know how my soul was removed from my body. But I do have some ideas. It might be those people from the temple of curses. They had visited our Dukedom couple of months ago claiming to cure some weird disease that was spreading in the dukedom. My father knew it was all a ruse to spread their beliefs in our land so he kicked them out of our lands. But during their brief stay in our land, they tried getting inside our mansion, later got slaughtered by the knights who were gaurding. But iam not 100% sure if it's them or not. But I definitely don't think they were in our lands for just curing some mild diseases. I do have couple of other suspects but for now I think it's those weirdos from temple of curses."
Listening to this, Max thought it might be possible. The temple of Curse origin is unknown. They do not worship the angels. But they still have divine energy. They came out of nowhere and started spreading their teachings across all the lands. Even the angels did not stop their actions, which made them even more mysterious. Now their power is comparable to that of top divine cults in the world.
"As for my father, I think the same too. Seeing how I was kept hidden for almost 10 years, I think it has something to do with my father. My father is a strong man, and very sensitive to changes. But I don't think it's the only reason. Seeing my behaviour in the book, I can tell with 100% confirmation, that person is not me. Atleast not how I behave. I think there are 2 possibilities, one if some one was controlling me from shadows. Second if the soul in that body might not be mine. Some one might have swapped my body. Or they might have destroyed my soul."
Whatever Zhavrik said might be true. His character was one of the difficult character to understand in the novel. Author himself clarified that Zhavrik background is special and he can write an entire volume around him. Nobody knows what happened during those 10 years. Those 10 years turned the loving, caring and easy going Zhavrik into cunning, cocky and ego Maniac young master. Some of the reader even stated that the Zhavrik might not be the real Zhavrik, Some ghost or devil might have possessed him. Some stated that during 10 years he went on some adventure that made him go crazy. Though the author never clarified anything except him declaring that once the novel is completed he'll write a side story on Zhavrik.
" And you don't have to worry about my father now. I don't think he can find any changes in your body. You see, I had already awakened my blood when I was 8. During one of the training session with my dad, he beat me up so bad that I started crying. Due to my emotional changes, I awakened my bloodline. I don't remember much but my father told me later that I went crazy and started attacking him. He even showed some of the wounds in his hands which he had not healed. He was so happy that day. He even warned me to not tell anyone about this. But he himself went and told the elders of the family about this and we ended up having a family banquet that day. Only the people with high authority in family were notified."
Seeing Zhavrik's happy face, Max couldn't help but say " what does this have to do with your father not finding about me?, and what do mean by "your body". Are you not the original owner of you body. Won't you take your body again.?"
Max could clearly see the Happy face of Zhavrik. Seeing such a happy kid he couldn't help feel guilty and asked him about the thing that's been bugging his mind for a while. Even though he had been constantly cursing about the world and novel and the person/thing that dumped him into this world, he was curious about this world as well. He wanted to explore the world. He was adventure loving guy, and how many people can get this chance?. So he was internally hoping to explore and enjoy everything that this new magical world had to offer.
But at the same time looking at Zhavrik, he suppressed his urge, because he was not in this world for a long time. But Zhavrik was different. He was born in this world. He might just be a character in a novel, but looking at the misty ghost like Zhavrik he knew, that even he is a part of that novel now. So he had look at this characters as people or he might end up loosing his sense of self.
Max wanted Zhavrik to live the life he desired. Atleast from the book he had read Zhavrik did not deserve the end he had gotten. Max was already dead and he wasn't attached to this world. So if this kid can live his life, before he became too attached to the Worldly matter, he was willing to give up.
Max was not a saint. If Max ended up loving this world and somewhere in the future Zhavrik came to take his body back, Max was sure he would fight Zhavrik to death to keep the hold of this body. So before such things happen he wanted to wash his hands from this world and go his next life.
Hearing what Max, Zhavrik couldn't help but give a sad smile.
"Well the thing is, I don't have much time to live in this world. I might've couple of hours at Maximum to sustain myself".
