Chapter 3 - Not My World

I couldn't tell what that thing was, but I wasn't sticking around to find out. I turned around and did what I've been doing since I came here.

I ran..

I wasn't going to just stand there and let the monster kill me. Do you think I'm a fool? Hah.

'I won't give the monster the luxury of eating me'

I turned my head to see where the monster was, and not to my surprise, it had already caught up with me.

I rolled my eyes at the realisation and increased my speed further. Of course, the monster still kept up with me and was slowly closing the distance.

As It got closer, I finally had a clear view of the monster. It looked like a giant bear made out of flames, but I could tell at a glance that those weren't flames. Rather, they gave off the same feeling as the 'mana Ihad been using.

This left me even more puzzled as I had never encountered such creatures in my entire life.

I didn't have time to ponder on my thoughts as the creatures frequent bellowing was a good reminder of the danger I was in.

At just a glance, I could tell that this monster was far stronger than the warthog. Its presence alone was renouhh proof, not to mention its appearance.

'Looks like physical attacks won't do damage to this thing'

I cleared my mind and started thinking rapidly of ways to get out of this situation alive. The only solution I could think of was attacking it with my mana coated fists, but the problem was, I wouldn't even be able to land a decent hit before it kills me.

'I need a weapon dammit!'

The situation was incredibly frustrating. Since I had no options available, I just kept running, hoping to pull some distance between us before finding something that I could use to kill the bastard.

Sadly.... after minutes of running, I hadn't encountered anything, and the worst part of it was the monster had now caught up with me.

I gritted my teeth in frustration before beginning to channel the 'mana' in the atmosphere into my entire arms.

I was going to face the monster head on.

The monster moved on all fours before lunging towards me with frightening speed.

All I saw was a blur before the monster directly struck my face, but luckily, I moved my arms just in time to prevent the fatal attack.

I was sent flying several meters and rolled on the ground.

My arms were broken and looked more like a piece of wood than an actual arm. The beast stared at me for a second before lett8kv out a bellowing roar that caused my insides to churn and my eyes to bleed uncontrollably.

The pain in my eyes was so intense that it felt like there was molten laba being poured onto my eyes.

There was no strength left in my body as I lay on the ground unmoving.

As if mocking me, the beast circled around my body three times before proceeding to grab my leg with its powerful limbs.

It lifted me off the ground and prepared to bite my head off when suddenly, a bone-chilling presence swept over me, followed by a blinding mist that absorbed all the light in the surroundings.

I fell down on the ground, graceless with serious wounds all over my body. It wasn't looking good for me at all. My foot had been deeply punctured by tye bears claws and was bleeding profusely. With nothing to stop the bleeding, I could only grit my teeth and rely on my superhuman healing abilities.

In the mist, a feminine figure appeared to be hovering over the giant bear with a playful smile gracing her face.

"Now, what's a guy like you doing here?"

She muttered to herself after looking at Luck, who was lying motionless on the ground.

Below her, the beast let out another loud roar seemingly infuriated by her intervention in its meal. The bear made out of white flames struck fiercely with its arms at the femine figure in the mist with tyrannical strength.

'You're stupid, aren't you'

The eminence figure, seemingly losing interest in the beast, lifted up her hands slightly before flicking her finger at the beast.

In the next moment, it was gone.

The tyrannical beast that had almost taken Lucks' life had died without a proper corpse.

Only bloody mist was left...

No, that wasn't correct. There seemed to be something shimmering with a faint glow at where the monster was previously.

The feminine figure descended from the sky slowly before picking up the shiny sphere before casting her gaze upon Luck, who was looking at her cautiously.

"Now who might you be?"

She asked with a playful smile plastered on her beautiful face.

She had raven black hair, which draped down to her shoulders coupled with green ghostly eyes that seemed unfocused at all times along with her deathly pale skin, which was a stark contrast to her rosy lips.

She was quite beautiful but even more so frightening.

"Luck,"

He responded flatly.

"That's it?"

"Yes."

"Whatever."

They both stared at each other curiously, and soon enough, the atmosphere around them turned awkward before the strange woman coughed liftly and gave him some clothes.

"This is getting weird. Take this. Oh, and by the way, my name is Racheal. "

Luck gave her a quick glance one more tike before proceeding to wear the clothes that came out of her ring. It was an oversized coat and a small shirt with jeans. They were a little too small for Luck except for the cat but he was in no condition to complain.

"Thanks"

"Don't mention it. By the way do you mind telling me how you got All the way out here on the outskirts of Alia?"

"Alia?"

Luck was genuinely confused as he didnt know of any cities or countries called Alia.

"Nevermind, how did you get here"

Rachel asked again.

"Well a bright light came out of nowhere and enveloped me and In the next second I was all the way out here"

Racheals face instantly turned solemn as she murdered something to herself.

"You must have got caught in the disaster huh?"

"What was that?"

"Nevermind. Well I don't know how you got to the central domain but It's not safe out here follow me"

'Central domain?'

Up until now Luck was confused about the strange places she was talking about and decided to ask her something to confirm his suspicion.

"Umm Miss Racheal if you don't mind ould you give me a summary of the worlds main cou- uhh domains? I seemed to have gotten amnesia."

Racheal observed him from the corner of her eye before nodding cheerfully.

"Sure why not."

"So as of right now humans are in control of five no six domains known as the western southern northern eastern central and the domain of Cordu which we recently conquered."

She continued talking about the domains but Luck was busy thinking about something else. He appeared calm on the outside but he was freaking out in reality.

'No way am I in a different world? That's not possible right??'.
