Chapter 11 - Prosperous Era, The Conspiracy Behind

The sunlight poured through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting a golden glow over the office. After a long trip, Bo Yan returned with renewed energy, eager to dive into her work and begin the next phase of her journey. However, just as she was preparing for a promising start, a cold splash of water came crashing down.

"Brother Yu, look at this!" Su Yao hurriedly rushed into the office, her face as pale as the tablet she was holding. "Our new game promotion's been trashed!"

Liang Yu frowned as he took the tablet, his face immediately darkening.

The screen showed an article from a gaming media outlet, titled *"Majestic Era, Majestic Flaws? Player Reviews Flooding with Negativity!"* The article listed a large number of so-called "player reviews," dramatically attacking various issues in the game, painting it as nearly unplayable.

"What is this nonsense?" Liang Yu muttered under his breath, his fingers tightening into a fist, cracking with tension. His face was filled with fury.

Bo Yan leaned over to take a look, her delicate brows furrowed. She couldn't help but sneer. "This isn't player feedback; this is blatant slander! Sure, the game has a few minor bugs, but nothing out of the ordinary. There's no way it deserves the exaggerated criticism in this article."

"Let's go find them!" Liang Yu stood up sharply, his anger boiling over.

The three of them quickly headed to the media outlet and found the editor-in-chief, Li.

"Editor Li, what's the meaning of this article? When did our game receive a flood of negative reviews?" Liang Yu asked directly, his tone sharp and imposing, as if ready to strike.

Editor Li pushed up his glasses, his demeanor calm and unhurried as he slowly picked up a report from the desk. "Mr. Liang, calm down. This is the real feedback from players. We're just reporting the facts."

Bo Yan scoffed and snatched the report from him. Flipping through it quickly, she sneered. "Real feedback? Editor Li, the accounts in this report are newly registered, and the comments are almost identical—this is clearly fake reviews! And you call this 'real feedback'?"

Li remained unfazed, with a hint of sarcasm in his tone. "Miss Bo, you should speak with evidence. We have everything properly documented."

"Evidence?" Bo Yan smiled coldly, her eyes flashing with sharpness. "Fine, let's see whose evidence is stronger!"

After some investigation, the truth soon came to light. The rival company, led by Sun, had paid for fake reviews in an attempt to sabotage their new game. On top of that, they had bribed Editor Li to publish the malicious article.

"Sun is relentless!" Liang Yu ground his teeth, his eyes blazing with fury. "This time, he'll pay dearly for this."

"Don't worry, the real show is just beginning." Bo Yan's lips curled into a cold smile. She pulled a USB drive from her pocket and waved it playfully. "Brother Yu, take a look at this..."

Liang Yu raised an eyebrow as he took the USB drive and plugged it into the computer. The screen soon revealed clear evidence of Sun's bribery and the fake reviews being arranged by his paid team. Each piece of evidence was precise, leaving no room for Sun to wriggle free.

Liang Yu let out a cold laugh, his gaze sharp like a blade. "Let's see how he tries to squirm out of this one!"

"Let's expose him directly!" Su Yao grinned, eager to see Sun brought to justice.

The three of them worked together to send the collected evidence to major gaming media outlets. The internet exploded, with news of Sun's treachery spreading like wildfire. It hit him hard, leaving him humiliated as his deceitful actions were exposed for the world to see.

In an effort to salvage its reputation, Sun's company had no choice but to sever ties with him, firing him and issuing a public apology.

Meanwhile, Editor Li was also punished for accepting bribes. The industry association reprimanded him and his reputation plummeted, with some media outlets even questioning the integrity of his past reports.

As they watched the overwhelming wave of condemnation on the screen, Liang Yu and Bo Yan exchanged a knowing smile, their mutual understanding silent yet profound. All the effort and sacrifice had finally paid off, and everything was coming to fruition.

The office was filled with a sense of triumph as the employees celebrated the victory, like a well-played game finally reaching its glorious conclusion.

"Yan'er, you're truly my lucky star!" Liang Yu walked over to Bo Yan, his eyes full of admiration and affection. His voice was warm, tinged with a sense of dependence.

Bo Yan only smiled faintly, her delicate features serene. There was a quiet, almost unreadable expression in her eyes, and the faintest glimmer of understanding seemed to pass between them. Her smile wasn't full of excitement but rather the calm of someone who had already anticipated this moment. She wasn't the naïve girl who could be pushed around anymore. She was a fox—deep, calculating, and always in control.

Just as everyone raised their glasses to celebrate, a letter of invitation to an international gaming exhibition was delivered into Bo Yan's hands. The golden embossed characters on the envelope seemed to carry a mysterious aura, as though it contained secrets waiting to be unveiled.

Bo Yan opened the letter, quickly scanning through it. Her brow furrowed slightly. The invitation was odd—it seemed to have a hidden agenda, suggesting that there was more to it than what met the eye.

"Brother Yu, about this exhibition…" Bo Yan began to speak, intending to discuss her doubts with him, but was interrupted.

"This exhibition… isn't simple," Liang Yu said, taking the invitation and scrutinizing it closely. His face darkened as he spoke, his tone heavy. "There's something complicated going on here."

Bo Yan looked up, her dark eyes flickering with curiosity. She casually placed the invitation on the desk and turned toward the window. The sunlight streamed in, casting a faint halo around her.She gazed into the distance, a sense of unease slowly creeping into her mind.

The game was far from over.
