Chapter 4 - Fire Melts Rock

Arc- Indigo League

Chapter- Fire melts the Rock

The Indigo Stadium roared with life as the rain pounded relentlessly on the battlefield, drenching everything in sight. Blastoise stood firm, water cascading off its shell, its breath labored from the battle that had already claimed three of Brock's Pokémon.

In the stands, the crowd buzzed with excitement and disbelief as they discussed the unfolding battle. The intensity of the storm only heightened their enthusiasm, with droplets of rain misting over the audience as they leaned closer to each other, animated in their conversations.

"Can you believe it?" a man in a bright yellow raincoat exclaimed, his voice barely audible over the cheering crowd. "That Blastoise just took out Brock's Kabutops, Crobat, and now Onix! Three Pokémon—down!"

A younger boy sitting next to him waved a foam finger emblazoned with Alexander's name. "Blastoise is unstoppable!" he shouted, his cheeks flushed with excitement. "Did you see that Surf? Onix didn't stand a chance!"

"Unstoppable, sure," a woman in a Brock fan T-shirt interjected, her voice tinged with defensive pride. "But Blastoise is looking tired. It's only a matter of time before Brock's next Pokémon turns this match around."

"Still," another spectator chimed in, an older man with a pair of binoculars around his neck. "You've got to admit, the kid's strategy is impressive. He's using the rain to his full advantage. Brock's known for setting the tone early in battles, but Alexander's turned the tide—literally."

Down closer to the field, a group of young trainers leaned over the railing, their excitement barely contained. "Alexander's only 16!" one of them exclaimed. "Can you imagine being that good at his age? I don't think I could've taken out even one of Brock's Pokémon, let alone three."

Another trainer, a girl with a rain poncho draped over her, crossed her arms and nodded. "And he hasn't even used his Charizard yet. You think he's saving it for the final?"

The boy shrugged. "Maybe. But with this type of Rain, I don't think we are goanna see Charizard."

Above the field, the large monitors replayed Blastoise's most dramatic moments—the powerful Hyper Beam that knocked Crobat out of the air, the crushing Hydro Pump that overwhelmed Kabutops, and the massive Surf that had finally brought Onix down. Each replay was met with waves of cheers from the audience.

As the rain continued to pour and the battlefield was reset for the next round, the stadium buzzed with anticipation. All eyes were on Brock as he prepared to send out his fourth Pokémon, and on Alexander, whose confidence seemed to grow with each passing second.

Brock reached for his next Poké Ball, his expression unwavering despite the rain and the odds stacked against him. He held the ball high, his voice steady and resolute as he called out, "You've done well, Alexander, but this isn't over yet! Blastoise may have taken down three of my Pokémon, but Golem won't fall so easily!"

With a sharp flick of his wrist, he released the hulking Rock/Ground-type onto the battlefield. Golem emerged with a thunderous roar, its rocky body gleaming under the stormy skies, its presence radiating raw power.

Alexander smirked, the rain dripping from his messy brown hair as he pumped his gloved fist forward with confidence. His old, dark blue leather jacket clung to him, soaked through from the relentless downpour, but he didn't care. His eyes burned with determination as he shouted, "Blastoise won't go down that easily, Brock! He's fought through worse, and this rain only makes him stronger."

The rain hammered down relentlessly as Golem and Blastoise squared off, their trainers locked in a fierce battle of wills. Brock's voice cut through the storm like thunder.

"Golem, start with Rollout! Full speed!"

Golem roared as it curled into a spinning boulder, tearing through the muddy battlefield with surprising agility. The ground shook beneath its weight as it charged toward Blastoise, carving deep furrows in the soaked earth.

"Blastoise, don't back down! Meet it with Aqua Tail!" Alexander shouted, pumping his gloved fist forward as if throwing his own strength into the command.

Blastoise growled, spinning with agility that belied its size, its glowing water-infused tail arcing through the air. The two attacks collided with a deafening CRACK, sending mud and water exploding outward in a violent spray. Both Pokémon skidded back, but neither gave an inch.

Alexander grinned, his soaked jacket clinging to him as he punched toward the battlefield. "That's it! Stay on the offensive! Use Surf to push it back!"

Blastoise reared up, its cannons glowing before unleashing a massive wall of water that surged across the field. The wave crashed into Golem, forcing it out of its rolling momentum and sending it sliding across the slick terrain.

"Golem, shake it off! Use Earthquake!" Brock countered, his voice calm but commanding.

Golem planted its massive arms into the ground, unleashing a seismic tremor that ripped through the battlefield. The ground beneath Blastoise buckled and cracked, causing it to stumble and roar in pain.

Alexander's jaw tightened. "Blastoise, stabilize with Rapid Spin, then fire Ice Beam at its legs!" He swung his arm in a wide arc as if propelling Blastoise forward.

Blastoise withdrew into its shell and spun rapidly, creating a vortex of water and mud that deflected debris. Emerging with precision, it fired a brilliant blue beam from its cannons, the icy energy streaking toward Golem's legs.

"Not so fast! Golem, dodge and counter with Thunder Punch!" Brock barked.

Golem leapt to the side, its movements surprisingly nimble for its bulk, as its fist crackled with electricity. It lunged toward Blastoise, fist raised high.

"Blastoise, intercept with Protect!" Alexander yelled a little nervousness in his voice, the first time in the match he has shown any negative emotion, stepping forward and clenching his fist tightly as if willing the shield into existence.

A shimmering barrier materialized just in time, absorbing the electrified strike with a burst of sparks. Golem growled in frustration as its attack failed to connect.

"Now, Blastoise! Hydro Cannon—finish this!" Alexander roared, thrusting his arm forward with all his might.

Blastoise's cannons glowed a brilliant blue, the energy building to a blinding crescendo before erupting in a colossal torrent of water.

"Golem, Double-Edge, full force!" Brock countered, his voice rising above the storm.

Golem charged headfirst into the oncoming blast, its body glowing with reckless power. The two attacks collided with a thunderous explosion, water and mud cascading into the stands as the sheer force of the impact shook the arena.

Both Pokémon were hurled backward, landing heavily in the mud. For a moment, the battlefield was silent, save for the relentless patter of rain.

Golem and Blastoise, battered and exhausted, glared at each other with unyielding determination. Despite their earlier clash, neither trainer was willing to concede.

Brock's voice boomed across the stadium. "Golem, shake it off! Go for Earthquake again, full power!"

Golem planted its massive arms into the muddy ground, sending seismic waves ripping through the battlefield. The entire arena quaked violently, fissures spreading rapidly toward Blastoise. The waterlogged terrain amplified the chaos as chunks of earth splintered and shifted.

"Blastoise, stay strong! Counter with Surf!" Alexander shouted, thrusting his arm forward with intensity.

Blastoise roared, summoning a colossal wave from the rain-soaked earth. The massive surge of water raced toward Golem, colliding with the Earthquake's tremors. The force of the water caused the ground to erupt in a muddy explosion, obscuring the battlefield in a thick haze.

Alexander smirked, pumping his fist. "That's it! Keep up the pressure! Blastoise, Rapid Spin into Ice Beam—don't let up!"

Blastoise withdrew into its shell, spinning rapidly to clear the debris around it before launching itself toward Golem. As it closed the distance, its cannons emerged and fired a sharp beam of icy energy directly at Golem.

Brock's voice cut through the storm. "Golem, Stone Edge—break through it!"

Jagged stones erupted from the ground, intercepting the Ice Beam mid-air. The shattered rocks and freezing energy created a burst of icy shards that rained down around the arena.

Both Pokémon slid back, panting heavily.

"Blastoise, now's our chance! Hydro Cannon , maximum power!" Alexander yelled, punching the air as if to drive the command home.

Blastoise's cannons glowed with an intense blue light, water surging with incredible force before it unleashed a devastating blast toward Golem.

"Golem, meet it with Double-Edge!" Brock bellowed.

Golem charged head-on, its rocky body glowing with reckless energy. The two attacks collided in a cataclysmic explosion of water and force, sending shockwaves rippling through the stadium.

Both Pokémon were flung backward, skidding across the muddy battlefield. Golem's rocky exterior was cracked and steaming, while Blastoise was on its last leg.

The stadium fell silent except for the patter of rain. Golem groaned, trying to stay standing, but its limbs gave out, and it collapsed into the mud.

The referee stepped forward. "Golem is unable to battle!"

Blastoise roared weakly, attempting to push through, but its strength failed finally, and it too fell.

Alexander clenched his fist, then relaxed, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "Blastoise, you gave it everything. Rest now." He recalled the exhausted Pokémon into its ball, his jacket dripping with rainwater.

Brock nodded solemnly, relived to see the Blastoise finally down recalling Golem. "You held the line, Golem. I'm proud of you."

The rain continued to pour heavily, the ground a drenched mess of mud and water as the referees quickly took control of the arena. They were prepared for moments like this, and immediately, a team of Pokémon—mostly Grass and Electric-types—stepped onto the field. Ivysaur, Sunflora, and a group of Pikachu worked quickly, their synchronized movements shifting the terrain. Ivysaur used Vine Whip to help re-secure broken ground, while Sunflora created protective barriers around the battlefield with Sunny Day, lightening the storm. Meanwhile, The Pikachu Group unleashed a flurry of Thunder Waves, gradually dissipating the oppressive rainstorm that had soaked the entire stadium.

While the groundskeepers worked to repair the field, the announcer's voice echoed across the stadium, filling the air with excitement.

"Ladies and gentlemen! What a battle we've witnessed today! With both Blastoise and Golem knocked out, Alexander finally has to send out another Pokémon! But let's take a moment to reflect on the incredible performance of Alexander Blaze Blastoise, who single-handedly knocked out not one, not two, but four of Brock's Pokémon!"

The crowd roared with approval, their cheers and applause filling the arena.

"We have just witnessed Blastoise's overwhelming power, determination, and resilience, folks! It's rare to see such a display of skill, especially from a Trainer so young! But the battle is far from over!"

Alexander stood at the sidelines, his soaked jacket clinging to his body, a grin tugging at his lips as he wiped his brow. The rain had stopped, and the crowd's cheers were still echoing in his ears. He glanced over to Brock, who stood with an air of respect.

The battlefield had been meticulously restored, and the tension in the air was palpable. Brock, with a steady hand, reached for his Poké Ball. "Alright, Aerodactyl, it's your turn!"

He tossed the ball into the air, and in a flash of light, the ancient Flying/Rock-type Pokémon emerged, its wings unfurling with a mighty roar. Aerodactyl's sharp eyes scanned the battlefield, its body cutting through the damp air as it hovered with ease, ready for the next challenge.

The crowd erupted in excitement, some hoping that this was the moment where the battle would tip in favor of the other trainer.

Alexander stood motionless for a moment, eyes flickering between his remaining Pokémon in his mind, mentally weighing his options. He had already used his Blastoise to great effect, and now, with Aerodactyl in play, his options were narrowing. He could go for something that could resist Aerodactyl's aerial speed and Flying-type attacks—or he could try to match Aerodactyl's ferocity with his own.

His heart pounded in his chest. He didn't want to underestimate Brock's Pokémon, but at the same time, he knew this was his chance to finish it. Alexander clenched his fist, pumping it forward, the familiar sensation of confidence flooding through him.

"Alright, let's do this…" Alexander muttered under his breath. His eyes gleamed with resolve.

As Alexander's hand hovered over Pidgeot's Poké Ball, he suddenly felt the heat radiating from the Poké Ball at his side. His heart skipped a beat as he glanced at it, noticing it starting to glow faintly, strange warmth emanating from it.

A moment later, without hesitation, he grinned. "Alright, Charizard, let's do this."

With a quick motion, Alexander tossed the Poké Ball high into the air. The ball burst open with a bright flash, and from the explosion of light, Charizard emerged—larger and more imposing than most people had ever seen. Its massive wings beat once, sending a gust of air through the arena, and the flames on its tail burned hotter than usual, casting a red glow across the battlefield. The temperature in the stadium seemed to rise just from Charizard's presence.

The crowd gasped in awe. The announcer's voice boomed across the stadium, the excitement almost palpable. "And here it is, folks! Alexander Smith is sending out his Charizard—but wait! Look at the size of that Charizard! This is unlike any we've seen before! It's enormous, and—Shiny! What a rare sight to behold!"

The air grew thick with heat as Charizard's powerful wings beat once, sending a gust of wind across the battlefield as temperature continued to rise, the heat becoming almost tangible, and even Aerodactyl seemed to falter for a moment. But it was Charizard's roar that truly shook the arena.

A deep, thunderous bellow erupted from its chest—an earth-shattering sound that seemed to reverberate through the ground itself. The entire stadium seemed to tremble as the roar echoed through the air, causing a ripple in the very foundations of the arena. The crowd fell silent for a split second, stunned by the sheer force of the sound. The temperature in the arena spiked dramatically, the heat from Charizard's presence almost oppressive, as if the very atmosphere was being warped by the intensity of its roar.

The announcer's voice struggled to rise above the tremor in the air. "Unbelievable! Folks, I don't think we've ever seen anything like this before! That roar—it felt like the earth itself shook!"

Even Brock couldn't hide his shock. His Aerodactyl, typically so composed, flapped its wings nervously, looking at Charizard with a new, more uncertain gaze. The heat and power of Charizard were unlike anything it had ever experienced.

Charizard hovered in the air, its fiery tail flickering fiercely, the flames dancing as if reflecting the intense battle already beginning to unfold. The Pokémon's eyes locked onto Aerodactyl, its fiery gaze unwavering. Charizard's massive black wings beat slowly, as though it was preparing to take flight at a moment's notice.

Brock tightened his grip on his Poké Ball, his jaw set in determination. "I've faced plenty of powerful opponents," he muttered, "but this...."

The announcer's voice surged again, filled with excitement. "It's massive, it's fierce, and the crowd can feel the pressure mounting! Aerodactyl might be fast, but can it withstand the raw force of this Charizard's power?!"

Charizard stood in the battlefield; his fiery tail blazing brightly, Alexander couldn't help but give a nod toward Brock, a smirk tugging at his lips. "Thanks for the incredible battle, Brock," he said, his voice steady. "You've pushed my Blastoise to Its limit, but this battle is over."

Before Brock could respond, Charizard let out a fierce roar, and in an instant, its jaws opened wide. A powerful Flamethrower surged from Charizard's mouth, the red flames spiraling upward into the sky. The intense heat caused the air above the battlefield to shimmer, and the blast was so powerful that it illuminated the entire stadium.

The flames cracked and roared as they shot high into the air, cutting through the sky like a dragon's breath. Charizard's eyes burned with fierce determination as it released the fiery torrent, sending a clear message: the battle was over, this fight was Charizard's to claim. The crowd went wild, cheering in anticipation as the heat and intensity of the attack filled the air.

Brock looked up at the blaze, his eyes narrowing in both admiration and wariness. He knew what was coming next—he had to be ready for Charizard's overwhelming power.

"Alright, Charizard," Alexander said, his voice steady with confidence, "let's show them what we've got."

Charizard's fiery tail flickered as it flapped its wings, rising into the air. The temperature around it soared, causing the ground below to shimmer from the heat. Brock, despite his calm exterior, knew this was a battle unlike any other.

"Aerodactyl, let's show Charizard what we're made of!" Brock called, his voice filled with resolve. "Use Aerial Ace!"

Aerodactyl shot into the air with lightning speed, its wings cutting through the air as it aimed straight for Charizard, its talons extended, ready to strike. The sheer speed of the move was enough to make the crowd gasp, but Charizard was ready.

With a sudden beat of its wings, Charizard dodged the incoming attack with ease, the fiery beast effortlessly weaving through the air as if it had all the time in the world. Aerodactyl's strike missed by mere inches, and before it could recover, Charizard turned mid-air, its eyes blazing with determination.

"Charizard, Flamethrower!" Alexander pumped his gloved fist forward, like he was adding his own life essence into the attack.

Without hesitation, Charizard unleashed a wave of fire that tore through the air, its flames engulfing the space between them. Aerodactyl attempted to dodge, but the flames were everywhere, a searing wall of heat that forced it to veer off course. The fire seared across its wings, leaving marks on its tough hide as it let out a screech, clearly rattled by the force of the attack.

Charizard wasn't done. It pursued Aerodactyl with grace and deadly precision, its massive form gliding effortlessly through the air. Charizard closed the distance between them in a heartbeat, its wings cutting through the air like a hot knife through butter.

"Aerodactyl, Rock Slide! Don't let it get too close!" Brock commanded, though his voice uncertain.

Aerodactyl quickly spun around, summoning a shower of rocks that rained down toward Charizard. The barrage of boulders and debris came down with terrifying force, but Charizard reacted instantly. It pulled its wings in close and descended rapidly, plummeting to the ground before darting back up, effortlessly dodging every single rock that was thrown at it.

Before Aerodactyl could regain its footing, Charizard was already back in the air, hovering above it like a hawk preparing to strike. With a furious roar, Charizard unleashed a powerful Dragon Claw, its massive claws glowing with energy as they slashed through the air. The attack hit Aerodactyl square in the chest, sending it careening backward with a scream of pain.

The crowd gasped in disbelief as Charizard's dominance became more and more evident. Alexander clenched his fist, his heart racing with excitement.

"This is it, Charizard, let's finish this!" He knew his Pokémon had the power to end this fight right now.

"Aerodactyl, Hyper Beam!" Brock shouted, his voice desperate as he watched his Pokémon struggle. Aerodactyl's body glowed with energy as it prepared for one final desperate strike, but it was clear that its movements were sluggish, its confidence shattered by Charizard's constant assault.

Charizard, seeing its opponent's weakened state, took no chances. With a fierce growl, it let loose another Flamethrower, its fiery attack crashing into Aerodactyl with a wave of heat so intense that it sent the smaller Pokémon spiraling downward, crashing into the ground in a heap.

Aerodactyl lay motionless for a moment, clearly overwhelmed, the once proud creature struggling to rise. Brock, looking grim, recalled it into its Poké Ball. "You did your best," he muttered under his breath, his voice tinged with regret.

Alexander let out a short, triumphant, almost arrogant laugh, then punched the air again, his chest swelling with pride. Charizard had dominated, and he couldn't have asked for a better performance. "That's how we do it, Charizard!" he said, barely containing his excitement.

Brock, despite the loss of his Pokémon, couldn't help but respect the beast in front of him. "Impressive, Alexander," Brock said, his voice filled with admiration, though his eyes were focused on Charizard. "But this isn't over yet. I still have one more to fight with."

As the roar of the crowd gradually subsided, the announcer's voice rang through the stadium, filled with excitement. "And there it is! Charizard's performance has been absolutely dominating! That Flamethrower, that Dragon Claw... Aerodactyl never stood a chance! Folks, we're witnessing something truly remarkable here—Charizard, Alexander's ace, has turned this match into a display of overwhelming power!"

The crowd erupted into cheers once again, their eyes glued to the towering, fiery figure of Charizard as it stood poised in the center of the arena. The heat from its body radiated, causing the air around it to shimmer, and Alexander stood with a grin stretched across his face, his fists clenched with confidence. His heart pounded in his chest, but his focus remained sharp—he knew Charizard wasn't done yet.

Brock, standing across from him, took a deep breath, his face serious and calm, and his expression unwavering despite the obvious toll the battle had taken on him. But he wasn't about to give up—he never did.

From his side, Brock reached for his last Poké Ball, his hand steady despite the intensity of the moment. The stadium went quiet for a brief second, the tension palpable. Then, with a swift motion, Brock tossed the ball into the air. "Tyranitar, it's your turn!"

The Poké Ball clicked open with a flash of light, and out emerged a massive Tyranitar. The ground trembled beneath its feet as the towering beast landed its armored form imposing and powerful. Its glowing red eyes locked onto Charizard, a fierce determination in its gaze.

"Now we're really going to see what you're made of, Alexander," Brock said under his breath, his tone filled with quiet resolve.

The announcer, eager to continue fueling the hype, couldn't contain his excitement. "And here it is, folks! Brock's Ace Pokémon—Tyranitar! The battle has reached its pinnacle! This massive Rock/Dark-type Pokémon has the strength to bring even the most powerful challengers to their knees. Will Charizard be able to handle the might of Tyranitar? This match is far from over!"

The crowd was buzzing with anticipation, their energy at an all-time high. Charizard, standing proudly, let out a low growl, flames flickering in the air around it.

Alexander clenched his fists tightly, his gaze locked on Tyranitar. This is it. We finish this now.

The stadium was alive with tension, waiting for the next move.

For a moment, neither Pokémon made a move. Instead, they simply locked eyes, sizing each other up, as if both were waiting for the other to make the first move. The silence was deafening, broken only by the occasional whisper of the wind through the stadium.

Then, in an instant, both Pokémon simultaneously let out a roar so fierce, it seemed to rattle the very foundations of the arena. Charizard's roar, deep and guttural, reverberated through the battlefield, its wings spread wide, creating a powerful gust of heat and force that caused the ground beneath its feet to crack. Tyranitar's roar was equally thunderous, a bellow that shook the air, its massive form standing resolute against the pressure of Charizard's display. The shockwaves from both roars collided in the center of the battlefield, sending ripples of energy through the air and shaking the stands.

The crowd gasped, awestruck by the sheer intensity of the moment. The announcer's voice trembled with excitement as he shouted, "Unbelievable! The roars from these two titans are shaking the arena itself! This is pure power on display! But wait... is it just me, or is Charizard even bigger than Tyranitar?!"

The camera zoomed in on both Pokémon, revealing just how immense Charizard was in comparison to Tyranitar. Standing tall, Charizard's wings were spread wide, casting a shadow over the battlefield, its fiery presence dwarfing Tyranitar's already imposing size. The heat radiating off of Charizard's body shimmered in the air, giving the appearance of an even larger figure as it loomed over Tyranitar. Tyranitar, despite its massive and heavily armored frame, seemed slightly smaller in comparison, though it still exuded raw strength and resilience.

Brock, standing across from Alexander, kept his eyes locked on Charizard, his expression unreadable. Despite the overwhelming sight before him, he knew this battle wasn't over. "Tyranitar's got this," he muttered, clenching his fists. "It can withstand this power. It's all about timing now."

Alexander, on the other hand, couldn't help but smile as he watched Charizard, his confidence unwavering.

Brock's gaze never left Charizard, his face a mask of concentration. "Tyranitar, Stone Edge!" he commanded sharply.

Tyranitar raised its massive arms and slammed them down, causing shards of jagged rock to shoot up from the ground, aimed directly at Charizard. The rocks flew toward the flying fire dragon with terrifying speed, but Charizard didn't even flinch. With a sudden burst of speed, Charizard dove into the barrage of stone. In a fluid motion, it extended one of its massive claws and swung it through the incoming stones, shattering them effortlessly with a single swipe. The shards of rock scattered in all directions, breaking apart like glass against Charizard's raw power. The crowd gasped as the sheer force of Charizard's punch sent the last of the rocks flying into the distance.

Alexander stood completely still, his eyes unwavering as Charizard cut through the attack. A small smirk tugged at his lips. Not even close, Brock. His fist tightened in a subtle gesture of satisfaction.

"Ice Beam, Tyranitar!" Brock ordered, seeing his opponent unfazed.

Tyranitar opened its mouth, sending a freezing beam of ice racing through the air toward Charizard. The icy energy stretched out like a spear, but Charizard was ready. Without even flinching, Charizard opened its jaws wide and released a scorching Flamethrower directly in the path of the Ice Beam. The fiery blast collided with the ice, melting it instantly. The steam from the vaporized ice billowed up in a white cloud as the remaining shards of ice evaporated into the air. Charizard's flames burned even brighter, pushing through the last remnants of the cold blast as if mocking the attack entirely.

"Charizard, Flamethrower, again!" Alexander shouted, his voice filled with confidence.

Charizard didn't need to be told twice. It exhaled another torrent of flames, this time aimed directly at Tyranitar, engulfing it in a searing wave of fire. Tyranitar gritted its teeth, withstanding the heat and roaring defiantly, but it had clearly been rattled by the force of the attack.

"Endure it, Tyranitar!" Brock urged, unwavering.

But Charizard wasn't finished. Before Tyranitar could recover, Alexander raised his hand, his eyes locked on Brock's final Pokémon. "Charizard, Dragon Claw!" he commanded.

Charizard lunged forward, its claws glowing with draconic energy as it descended upon Tyranitar. The massive Pokémon braced itself, but Charizard's claws slashed across its rocky hide with brutal precision, leaving deep scratches in its tough exterior. Tyranitar staggered, but it remained standing, clearly trying to shake off the damage.

Brock clenched his fists but didn't back down. "Tyranitar, Earthquake!"

Tyranitar slammed its tail against the ground with such force that the earth beneath it cracked wide open. The ground shook violently, sending shockwaves racing across the battlefield. But Charizard—unfazed and unyielding—simply stood its ground. Its wings beat steadily, not even flinching as the tremors rattled the earth beneath it.

The crowd watched in stunned silence before erupting into applause, their cheers a roar that reverberated through the entire stadium. The announcer's voice crackled with excitement. "Unbelievable! Charizard is shattering every attack thrown at it! First, the Stone Edge, then the Ice Beam, and now this—Earthquake—and Charizard doesn't even flinch! What a display of strength!"

Brock's face hardened, but he knew he still had one last chance. Tyranitar was wounded, but it wasn't done yet. The battle was far from over, and with Charizard's unrelenting power, it would take everything Brock had to turn the tide.

Brock's eyes burned with determination as he saw Charizard effortlessly dodge every attack and power through his strategies. He knew he had to keep the pressure on. It was now or never.

"Rock Slide, Tyranitar!" Brock commanded his voice sharp and commanding.

Tyranitar lifted its massive arms high into the air, shaking the ground beneath it. With a roar, it slammed its hands down, sending a barrage of large, jagged boulders tumbling from the ceiling of the arena toward Charizard. The rocks fell with incredible speed, aimed at Charizard's airborne position.

But Charizard, seemingly unconcerned by the incoming attack, hovered in place, its eyes locked on the falling stones. Alexander gave the smallest of nods, his posture calm, his focus unwavering. His thoughts were clear: Time to show Brock how it's done.

"Charizard, Hyper Punch!" Alexander shouted, his fist instinctively tightening as he spoke.

Charizard roared and shot forward with a boom. In one fluid motion, it extended its claws and swung them with incredible force toward the incoming rocks. With a powerful Hyper Punch, Charizard obliterated the boulders mid-air, smashing through them like they were nothing more than paper. Stone fragments rained down, but Charizard didn't stop, its blazing form moving through the destruction without missing a beat.

Brock's jaw clenched as he saw the attack fail, his frustration growing. "Tyranitar, Hyper Beam!" he ordered, hoping to land a decisive blow.

Tyranitar's eyes glowed red as it unleashed an immense, concentrated beam of energy from its mouth, the force of the attack making the air around it ripple. The beam raced toward Charizard, cutting through the space like a bolt of lightning, determined to break through Charizard's defenses.

But Charizard was already prepared. The massive Pokémon opened its mouth, flames flickering in the back of its throat. "Charizard, Flamethrower!" Alexander commanded without hesitation.

The flames erupted from Charizard's mouth in a brilliant, searing torrent. The Flamethrower met the Hyper Beam in mid-air, the two attacks colliding in an explosion of light and energy. The heat from Charizard's flames intensified as it pushed the fire forward, gradually overpowering the Hyper Beam, consuming it with the force of Charizard's flames. The fiery torrent twisted and curled, completely engulfing the energy beam, leaving nothing but a burst of steam in its wake.

The crowd exploded into applause, their cheers reverberating across the stadium. The announcer's voice boomed with excitement. "Unbelievable! Charizard has just neutralized a Hyper Beam with nothing but its Flamethrower! This battle is heating up in ways no one expected!"

Charizard, now hovering in the air, its body shimmering with heat, glared down at Tyranitar with fiery eyes. It was a picture of dominance, unmoved by every single attack Brock had thrown at it.

Before Brock could even open his mouth to order another move, Alexander's voice rang out across the stadium, steady and commanding. "Charizard, let's end this!"

Charizard's fiery eyes locked onto Tyranitar, and with a fierce roar, it dove toward its opponent. The crowd held its breath, knowing something powerful was about to unfold.

In a blur of movement, Charizard unleashed a rapid barrage of devastating moves, each strike flowing seamlessly into the next. First, Charizard's clawed fist glowed with a burning aura as it slammed into Tyranitar with a Hyper Punch, the sheer force of the blow shaking the arena and sending shockwaves through the ground. Tyranitar staggered back but held its ground, determined not to fall just yet.

Without missing a beat, Charizard spun on its heels and unleashed a Dragon Claw, its claws glowing with draconic energy. The strike was lightning-fast, slicing through Tyranitar's rocky armor and leaving deep gouges in its hide. Tyranitar howled in pain but managed to stay upright, its legs trembling beneath the weight of the assault.

Charizard, not giving Tyranitar a moment to recover, followed up with a fiery Fire Punch, its fist ablaze with molten energy. The punch landed squarely in Tyranitar's side, the heat searing into its tough hide. Tyranitar's roar was choked by the overwhelming heat, but it remained standing, though visibly weakened.

Just when it seemed Tyranitar couldn't take anymore, Charizard followed up with a Thunder Punch, its fist crackling with electricity. The punch landed with a burst of electric power, sending a jolt of energy coursing through Tyranitar's body. Tyranitar staggered, its massive body shuddering from the electrical shock, but it still stood, shaking, unwilling to go down.

The audience gasped in awe at the sheer intensity of Charizard's rapid-fire assault. Each blow hit harder than the last, a near-perfect combination of speed, power, and precision. Charizard was like a whirlwind of destruction, and Tyranitar was like a wall—though battered and bruised—held on, stubbornly refusing to fall.

Alexander's gaze never wavered from Tyranitar. The massive Pokémon was barely standing, shaking from the onslaught of attacks, but there was still a flicker of defiance in its eyes. Alexander knew it was nearly done, but he wasn't about to give Brock any chance to turn things around.

With a fierce pump of his fist, he shouted, "**Charizard, let's end this! Use Seismic Toss!"

Charizard responded immediately, its fiery eyes locking on Tyranitar. The fire-type's muscles coiled as it shot forward with lightning speed, darting straight at the weakened Tyranitar. Before Brock could even react, Charizard's clawed fist slammed into Tyranitar's jaw with a devastating Hyper Punch, the impact echoing across the stadium like a thunderclap. Tyranitar was knocked off its feet, its head snapping back from the sheer force of the blow, and the massive Pokémon was sent flying several meters backward. The force of the punch had Tyranitar tumbling through the air, struggling to regain its balance.

Charizard wasn't finished yet. In one smooth motion, it caught Tyranitar mid-air, its clawed arms locking around the rocky beast. Charizard flared its wings wide, holding Tyranitar effortlessly above its head as the crowd gasped in astonishment. It was a display of strength that left everyone speechless.

Charizard, still gripping Tyranitar in its massive claws, flapped its wings with tremendous force, sending a gust of wind that rippled through the arena. With a powerful beat, Charizard soared high into the sky, lifting Tyranitar far above the battlefield. The crowd gasped in amazement at Charizard's incredible strength as it ascended, the massive Pokémon now hovering at an enormous height, a silhouette against the bright lights of the arena.

Tyranitar, struggling to break free from Charizard's grasp, barely had time to react. It was disoriented and battered from the previous blows, its legs twitching as it tried to gain control. But Charizard wasn't letting go.

With a fierce, guttural roar, Charizard spun mid-air, its wings cutting through the wind, and then swinged Tyranitar down with unimaginable force. The rocky beast plummeted toward the ground at a terrifying speed, the air rushing past it with a deafening roar.

As Tyranitar fell, Charizard took a deep breath and began charging its energy. The light around Charizard's body began to shift, growing brighter as it absorbed the sunlight. Its body crackled with power, and the energy collected into its mouth. The audience could feel the tension building in the air—Charizard was preparing something huge.

With an almost serene look of rage, Charizard released the built-up energy in a flash of light. Solar Beam exploded from its mouth like a powerful beam of radiant energy, aimed directly at Tyranitar as it fell. The golden light streaked across the sky, cutting through the air and hitting Tyranitar just as it neared the ground.

The impact was earth-shattering. The Solar Beam struck Tyranitar's body with an overwhelming force, causing it to spiral out of control before crashing violently into the arena floor. The ground shook from the force of the collision, and a massive cloud of dust and debris rose into the air, obscuring the aftermath.

For a brief moment, everything was silent. The audience held their breath, waiting for the dust to settle. When it did, there was only silence. Tyranitar lay there, battered and motionless, with smoke rising from the impact site.

Charizard hovered above, its wings glowing with the aftereffects of the Solar Beam. It stood triumphant, a display of raw power and precision that left no room for doubt.

The referee voice rang out over the arena, filled with excitement. "Tyranitar is knocked out! The winner of this quarterfinal is Alexander Blaze!"

The crowd erupted in applause, their cheers echoing through the stadium as Charizard let out a victorious roar.

Charizard's wings flared as it shot forward, its eyes fixed on Alexander. In a flash, the giant Fire -type zipped across the battlefield and pulled Alexander into a massive, affectionate hug. The crowd erupted into laughter and applause, charmed by the sight of the Charizard embracing its Trainer.

Alexander, laughed along, wrapped his arms around Charizard's neck as the Pokémon playfully nuzzled against him.

Charizard let out a contented growl, its fiery eyes twinkling as it gently set Alexander back down, its presence radiating nothing but pride. The heat from its body seemed to warm the very air around them.

As Alexander stood beside Charizard, he couldn't help but glance back at Tyranitar. The massive Pokémon's form was broken, its armor cracked and pieces of rock littering the battlefield. For a brief moment, Alexander's chest tightened with regret.

Maybe he had pushed too hard. He had watched Charizard dismantle Tyranitar with such overwhelming power, and now the defeated Pokémon was left struggling just to stay conscious. I should have ended this easier he thought. Maybe I overdid it...

Yet, before he could dwell on it any longer, Brock spoke up, his voice calm and firm as he stepped forward.

"Don't pity us, Alexander," Brock said, his expression steady. "If you had held back, we would have hated it. Tyranitar is a powerful Pokémon, and we wanted you to fight with everything you've got. That's the only way to truly respect your opponent—by giving it your all."

Alexander nodded, before looking at the cheering crowd.

This was just the quarter-finals.
