The four of them sat down to a sumptuous feast, the table laden with roasted meats, steaming vegetables, and freshly baked bread. Azrael, Luna, and Zorvath chatted amiably, enjoying each other's company, while Rue smiled and laughed, fitting in seamlessly.
As they ate, Azrael turned to Rue, his curiosity getting the better of him. "So, Rue, where are you from?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with interest.
Rue's smile faltered for a moment, before she regained her composure. "Oh, I'm from... a small village, far to the east," she said, her voice smooth and melodious. "It's a beautiful place, surrounded by mountains and forests."
Azrael's eyes narrowed, sensing that Rue was hiding something. But he let it slide, asking instead, "And where did you get your power? You're incredibly strong, Rue."
Rue's laughter was like music, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Ah, my power? Well, let's just say I've had... extensive training, and was gifted the power of magic since birth." she said, her voice dripping with mystery.
Zorvath's eyes flicked to Rue, his expression thoughtful. "I see," he said. "And what brings you to these mountains, Rue? You're a long way from home."
Rue's smile grew wider, her eyes glinting with a hint of mischief. "Oh, I'm just traveling, seeing the sights, and im on a mission to search for the blue diamond of the heavens " she said. "I heard the mountains were beautiful this time of year, and also this mountain is where the diamond is said to be hidden."
"What do you want with the diamond of the heavens?" Zorvath asked.
" well i was tasked with the responsibility of finding it and keeping it safe from the demon king or his minions, who is planning to shut the heavenly gates and if that happens all life in the mortal realm will die, and then the demon king will be able to pass through into the mortal realm, and if he does he will become the strongest of seven realms."
Luna, who had been quietly observing the conversation, spoke up, her voice like a gentle breeze. "Rue, can I ask you something?" she said, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
Rue turned to Luna, her smile encouraging. "Of course, little one. What is it?"
Luna's voice was hesitant, but her eyes shone with determination. "I sense that you're not what you seem, Rue. That there's something... hidden beneath the surface."
The table fell silent, the only sound the crackling of the fire and the distant howling of wolves. Rue's smile faltered, her eyes flashing with a hint of anger, before she regained control.
Luna's words had struck a chord, and Azrael's curiosity was piqued. He leaned forward, his eyes locked on Rue. "What do you mean, Luna?" he asked, his voice low and intense.
But before Luna could respond, Rue intervened, her voice smooth and melodious. "Oh, I think Luna is just being cautious, Azrael. After all, we've only just met. But I assure you, I'm just a simple traveler, looking for the diamond of the heavens and then i met you guys."
Azrael's eyes narrowed, sensing that Rue was hiding something. But he let it slide, for now.
Zorvath started yawning. " Well children, lets call it a day, Rue i dont mind you staying for the night, but im going to bed now. See you guys in the morning." Zorvath said while also getting up from his chair and then started walking to his bedroom.
The four of them retired to their respective quarters, exhausted from the day's events. Azrael settled into his bed, his mind racing with thoughts of Rue.
Despite his reservations, Azrael couldn't shake the feeling that Rue was genuinely telling the truth. He drifted off to sleep, his dreams filled with visions of epic battles.
The next morning, Azrael woke up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. He rose from bed, stretching his arms and yawning widely. Luna was already up, flitting about the room as she prepared for the day ahead.
"Good morning, Azrael," she said, her voice like a gentle breeze. "Are you ready to continue your training?"
Azrael nodded, his eyes sparkling with determination. "I'm more than ready, Luna. Let's get started."
Zorvath and Rue were already in the training hall, waiting for Azrael to arrive. The wizard nodded at Azrael, his eyes twinkling with approval.
"Today, we'll continue working on the the tecnique Soul burn," Zorvath said, his voice low and serious. "Rue has offered to assist us with the training."
Azrael's eyes flicked to Rue, who smiled and nodded at him. He felt a surge of gratitude towards her.
The training session began, Zorvath took Azreal to the tree to continue working on his technique, but Azreal had a hard time making the the tecnique work to his will.
Azrael refused to back down. He drew upon his inner reserves of strength and determination, then suddenly Azraels power seeped into the tree like water being absorbed, Azrael closed his hands and, boom!, the tree exploded, with green flames making the ground shake.
" I did it!" Azrael shouted excitedly.
" Well done Azrael." Zorvath complimented.
Rue thinking to herself " This guy is quite powerful, and he might become a problem".
Azrael felt a sense of pride and accomplishment as he fell to the ground quite drained of his power. He had learned a powerful new technique, and pushed himself to new heights, and he knew that he was one step closer to achieving his goal of defeating the Demon King.
But as he turned to Rue, he caught a glimpse of something in her eyes, something that made his heart skip a beat.
It was a flicker of darkness, a hint of malevolence that seemed to lurk just beneath the surface. Azrael's instincts screamed at him to be cautious, to remember that Rue was still a mystery, a wild card in the game of fate.
" well lets call it a day Azrael " Zorvath said making his way back to the temple.
