Part 2:
The bleeding from my hands had stopped, and when my father arrived, he suggested that I might have a serious disease. "You should come with me today to Mr. Sharma; he's a skin specialist, and from there, your treatment will begin."
After seeing the doctor, I didn't face any problems, and soon the fever stopped as well.
But playing was no longer an option for me. Only a few friends would occasionally visit to check on my health. This continued for several months, and my family decided that it was time for me to start my 12th grade and begin coaching.
Every middle-class family dreams of at least one child excelling in their studies. Why wouldn't they? Half of their expenses go into their children's education, while the rest is spent on household needs and basic necessities.
(March 13, 2008):
After months of feeling unwell, today my condition worsened. Blood was flowing from my skin pores as if someone had turned on a slow shower. The reason behind this became clear when the blood gushed out in front of my grandfather.
My grandfather was from Rajasthan and was quite strict, but he had a soft heart for me. He must have guessed the reason behind my condition. I was the only son, with a younger sister, and after my birth, he had transferred all his land into my name. He had only one daughter, my mother.
He told everyone, "Beta, you go to your room, and Juriya, you too. I need to speak with your parents."
I wasn't there at that moment, but I remember vividly what he said to my parents. I don't know how I know this, but I do know that he said, "Daughter, understand that a jinn is casting a shadow over this boy. As soon as possible, you must perform a ritual to free him from this jinn. Jinns can create good things, but they can also ruin prosperous businesses." As he spoke, my grandfather suddenly choked, and his teeth bit into his own tongue, causing blood to spill onto the floor.
My mother and father panicked, taking my sister and grandfather out of the house. They claimed that my grandfather had hurt himself and that they would call for help.
The next day, twelve priests, skilled in their craft, arrived. Only my grandfather and father were present; my mother and sister were nowhere to be seen. According to many stories, a jinn is also a type of priest, and everything was unfolding according to that belief. Twelve priests had come, and there were thirteen gurus present. I don't need to explain how unlucky the number thirteen is; even hotels often skip room number 13, and many malls jump from section 12 to 14, bypassing 13 altogether. These people had made the jinn's task easier.
I was taken to a room for an exorcism...
Aarav: "Sir, I don't know what happened next!"
Investigator: "Okay, Aarav, you can step out now and send your father in."
Note: This story is being narrated by Aarav and his entire family to an investigator. The investigator is also a horror storyteller, recording the tale while conducting research on Aarav.
Investigator to Aarav's Father:
"Sir, now please tell me what happened with Aarav. What transpired after that?"
Aarav's Father:
"I've told you before, we don't want to reveal this reality, and please don't call my son in this manner. We are a middle-class family, and my son has somehow cracked the JEE exam.
Investigator:
"But sir, I need to know how he went from being a below-average student to holding the top rank in the JEE. How did that transformation happen?"
Aarav's Father (voice trembling):
"Alright, if you must know what happened after the priests arrived, I'm willing to share, but you will not ask any personal questions about how he topped the JEE or anything else."
Investigator:
"Okay, sir, please go ahead and tell me what happened then."
Aarav's Father:
"After the twelve priests arrived, the exorcism ritual was organized. They formed two groups of six, and each pair would attempt the exorcism one at a time. In the final attempt, they would all come together to expel the jinn from Aarav's body. But what happened that night was horrifying.
One by one, the pairs entered the room, and each time, Aarav's behavior changed drastically. His body seemed to stiffen, becoming cold and rigid. Whatever was inside him began chanting mantras in a language that was not his own. In the midst of all this, I panicked and told the priests to stop the ritual. I feared for my son's life; I couldn't bear to think of how many bones might have been broken in his body. His entire frame was convulsing.
The priest assured me, "This is just an illusion created by the jinn to disrupt the ritual and gain complete control over your son's body. We made a mistake by having twelve of us here; the jinn is also skilled in these rituals, which is why it's causing this chaos. You must leave the house; your son will be safe with us."
After that, I stepped out of the house, and about three hours later, the priests brought Aarav back, unconscious. The fear I felt was overwhelming; seeing my son in that state terrified me, and I was utterly distraught.
Investigator:
"Oh! What happened next?"
Aarav's Father:
"After that, we took him to the hospital, and as the priest had said, every bone was fine; he was just weak. A few days later, approximately a month, he recovered and immersed himself in his JEE studies, delivering an unbelievable performance. The results speak for themselves."
Investigator:
"Okay, sir, you may leave now."
Aarav's Father:
"Thank you. I hope you are satisfied! Now, I request that you do not disturb any of my family members. If you do, I will have no choice but to file a complaint. This is about my child's future."
Investigator:
"Understood, sir. You will not be disturbed."
Investigator to his Assistant:
"Send the maid who works at Aarav's house in."
Assistant:
"Okay, sir."
Investigator to Maid:
"As you told me earlier, it seems like nothing was said by them or Aarav!"
Maid:
"Sir! Aarav Babu was here!"
Investigator:
"Yes! And as you mentioned, his condition seems to contradict what they said. Perhaps you noticed something incorrectly."
Maid:
"Sir! He is not human; he is a jinn! And it's because of his father that he is in this state. That's what I believe, sir! Why else would I come to you? Did some mad dog bite me?"
Investigator (thinking):
"I don't want to believe this, but for some reason, I'm getting drawn deeper into this case. It doesn't seem like the maid is lying, but Aarav's father was telling the truth as well. There's something strange about Aarav; I think he was expressionless. He just narrated his story without any significant expressions on his face."
The tension in the air thickened as the investigator pondered the implications of what he had just heard. The pieces of the puzzle were beginning to fit together, but the picture they formed was far from ordinary. What was the truth behind Aarav's transformation? What dark forces were at play? The investigator felt a chill run down his spine, knowing that he was on the brink of uncovering something far more sinister than he had anticipated.
As he prepared to delve deeper into the mystery, he couldn't shake the feeling that the shadows lurking in Aarav's life were far from over. The investigation was just beginning, and the truth was waiting to be unearthed, no matter how terrifying it might be.
