Elliot and the two girls are walking in the street, it was a day off for the three of them since it was sunday and the cafe is closed. The three of them just finished shopping for groceries and for the cafe.
"I told you brother we should make a huge cake and sell it...or maybe eat it..", Amber said while drooling.
"Amber, you don't know how hard to make that kind of cake..", Maya said.
"...nahh! If its brother, i'm sure he can make it!!", Amber said again while waving his arm up and down.
While walking they stumble upon a kindergarten school where kids are playing around, Amber seems want to play with other kids too so she tried to enter, but Maya stops her.
"Amber you can't go there, you are not a student..", Maya said.
"Eeehhhh!? Why i need to be like you just to play with them??", Amber said with a confusing expression.
"Amber, that's a school for kids like you...they are just playing since their in break but after that they will go back inside to learn again..", Elliot explain while patting her head.
Amber seems want to play with the other kids, Elliot and Maya start walking away, she follows them with a sad expression on her face. They got back at the cafe and Elliot immediately head in the kitchen to organize the groceries they brought at the market, Maya help him by taking all the groceries for the apartment. Meanwhile, Amber was at the cafe, sitting on one table she seems sad and frustrated at what they said.
"...school...is it fun?", she ask to herself.
Elliot saw her from the kitchen, it makes him think that its time for Amber to go in a kindergarten. He smiles and walk towards the apartment to find Maya. Mew day has come, Amber woke up late. She immediately head at the bathroom to clean herself, she found a kindergarten uniform it was simple and comfortable, designed for easy movement and a neat appearance. It usually includes a light-colored polo shirt or blouse with the school logo, paired with navy blue or khaki shorts, skirts, or jumper dresses for girls. The uniform is completed with white socks, black or white Velcro shoes for ease, and optional accessories like a matching cap for outdoor play or a small tie or ribbon for a polished touch. This design ensures both practicality and a sense of school identity for young children.
She wears it and look herself in the mirror. She suddenly get excited with a bright wide smiles on her face. She run outside of the bathroom and goes towards the cafe, Elliot was at the kitchen preparing some cakes for the shop later, Maya was at the counter, watching the cafe while it don't have any customers yet. Amber burst in inside of the kitchen, which startled Elliot, she was raising her hand and showing herself to them.
"Wahhh! Brother! Sis! Look at my look!! Am i cute!?", she ask with a wide smiles on her lips.
Elliot smiles, and walk towards her, Maya came inside of the kitchen too seeing Amber on her school uniform.
"You look great Amber, it seems the uniform really fits on you..", he said with a smile.
"...here, i have another one for you", he added and gave her a backpack with a cute kitten logo on its front.
Amber take the backpack and start jumping around the kitchen because of the happiness and excitement. Maya take an umbrella and look at Elliot.
"I'll take her in the school, can you watch the cafe for me?", Elliot nods and Maya tell Amber that they still have another surprised for her.
Amber and Maya arrives at the kindergarten. The kindergarten so cheerful and lively place, well it designed to nurture young children's growth and curiosity. Brightly colored walls are adorned with playful murals, children's artwork, and educational posters. Low tables and small chairs are arranged in clusters for group activities, while shelves hold puzzles, books, and toys. A designated play area with mats, building blocks, and soft toys invites exploration, while an art corner brims with crayons, paints, and craft supplies. Outdoors, there's often a playground with swings, slides, and a sandbox. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, encouraging learning through play and interaction. Outside was the teacher and the other kids waiting for her arrival, Amber seems nervous a little.
"Kids, let's welcome out new friend Amber..", the teacher said with a warm smile.
"Hello Amber!!", kids said in unison.
Amber step back, but Maya stop her. She smiles and whispers something to her, "Go, and be yourself think about your future with some good friends..", Maya said.
Amber gulped, she slowly walking towards the kids, when suddenly they start to surrounding her, which shock Amber. They all happy to have a new friends they all smiling and yapping some random stuff to her.
"Heyy heyy!! Do you want to play later?", a boy ask.
"You're so cute!! You look like my stuff toy!!", a girl said.
"Wanna eat with me later? I have so many beef patties in ky lunchbox!", another girl said.
They all swarming her, but instead of getting scares, she smile widely and start talking to them too. Maya seems happy that Amber is happy again, unlike yesterday. The teacher told Maya that she can leave Amber now and come back later at afternoon. Inside the kindergarten, everyone was sitting at the rounded tables and learning together. The teacher stood besides a colorful board with large letters and numbers, leading the class in a fun song about counting. Amber sat at a round table with her classmates, her small hands gripping a crayon as she carefully traced the letter "A" on a worksheet. Her tongue poked out slightly in concentration, a habit that always made Elliot smile whenever he was teaching her. Around her, some kids colored pictures while others worked on puzzles, their faces lit up with excitement whenever they figured something out. The teacher walked over to Amber's table and gently praised her effort, making Amber beam with pride.
"Continue doing that and you'll learn how to write...anyway, children its time for sharing some fun stuff in the front, and for the day Amber will share her life to us...can you Amber?", the teacher ask Amber with a bright smile.
Amber got nervous for a moment, she immediately rush in the front, and staring at everyone. She doesn't know what to tell so zhe remain silent for a while, it was afternoon so that's the last activity they should do for the day, some parents are now peeking at the window checking their children. She gulped because there's so many peoples than the cafe every morning and afternoon.
"Just tell us about your life Amber, i'm sure your always having fun with your family..", the teacher said.
When she was about to burst out the classroom, Elliot appears at the window searching for Amber. She saw him and remember what the teacher said, she just need to tell her life to them, her family. Elliot saw her too and waves at Amber with a bright smile on his lips like he's supporting her.
"...uhm...well, my life is suck...", she said and it makes everyone confused while the teacher is shock.
"But...when i met brother Elliot, i become so happy! And i'm so lucky that i can eat so much!!", she said with a bright smile.
Amber continue telling everything in the class, everyone was amaze at her especially in the part that she follow her Elliot from the apartment to the center mall. The teacher seems enjoying her recitation and her life, but she suddenly concern at their life since Amber is just adopted, and Elliot is just a young man who just opens a business.
As the afternoon came,the playground was full of parents who's waiting for their kids, the kindergarten become cheerful because of the sounds of children getting ready to go home. Little backpacks adorned with cartoon characters were put over their tiny shoulders as the kids lined up by the door, some waving goodbye to their teachers with wide grins. Amber stood near the window, clutching a small drawing she had made that day, eagerly waiting for Elliot to see it. Outside, parents and guardians gathered by the gates, chatting among themselves while greeting their little ones. The classroom was now quieter, with only a few children still zipping up their bags or showing off their day's work to their friends. The teacher smiled warmly, reminding everyone to come back tomorrow.
"Amber! Amber!", some kids call her.
"The cake was super delicious! Bring some for us tomorrow!", they said and it seems they like Amber because she have delicious cakes and she was cute.
"Sure! I'll tell brother to brought some here tomorrow!", she said with a wide grin.
Elliot was about to approach Amber, but the teacher pull him away and brought her behind the school.
"Do you know what you doing kid?", she said and it seems she was concerned at them.
"...eh? What did i do ma'am?", Elliot ask.
"What i mean is, you adopted that kid without any permission in the children care administration...you know the rules in our country, to adopt a kid you need to file some documents in the administration to become a legal guardian of the kid...", she said with a worried expression.
"...i know that, and i plan to do that...but the problem is i'm just 24 years old and you know ma'am that the administration is allowing a person to be a guardian if the person is above 25 years old...i'm just actually waiting for my birthday and i'll file some documents after that..", he said with a slightly smile.
"...i'm fine with that, but you need to understand that once an authorities find out that you're taking care of girls without any filed documents in the administration...you can be thrown in the jail...be careful, kid", the teacher tapped her shoulder and she goes back inside of the kindergarten.
Elliot looks down and felt heavy inside, he breath calmly and go back at the playground to find Amber. Amber was waiting on a swing, she was looking at the drawing she did earlier, she smiles and hugs it.
"..Amber, let's go..", Elliot stood infront of her with a bright smile.
"Brother!! Look i draw something!!", she gave the piece of paper with her drawing on it.
Elliot take it and it contains Amber with her hand getting hold by Elliot in the right and Maya in the left. Elliot smile and felt lighter than earlier, she hold her hand and kisses her forehead. Amber blushes and giggles, she start climbing on her back, and wrapping her hand on his neck.
"I love you brother!! You're the best person i really have!", she said and kisses his cheek.
"...me too Amber, i'm glad you came in my life with Maya..", he said and start walking out the kindergarten and head back at the cafe.
Maya was at the street in the city, walking back at the cafe after a long school day. Suddenly, she didn't know that someone is watching and following her from the back. The guy was non other than Alfred, Maya's old boyfriend. He was following her because he actually missed her, since its been a weeks since she left the apartment. Alfred's life become worse since no one is taking care of him, no one is with him. He also following her because she was worried that Elliot might doing something to her. Maya arrives at the cafe, its about to open since it temporarily closed earlier because Elliot take Amber from the kindergarten. Alfred look at the window to see if she's fine, he can see how Elliot is being kind to her.
