Chereads / I Love You from the Other Side / Chapter 5 - Chapter four

Chapter 5 - Chapter four

This mansion's interior is even more magnificent than its exterior.

The second-floor stone staircase is stunning; it is obviously made of marble as well, but the craftsmanship behind its construction is incredibly impressive.

"This mansion's design was created by your great-grandfather, who really loved marble stones of all kinds." Sophia spoke to me while gazing up at the stone stairs in wonder.

Not only is the interior staircase stunning, but there is also an antique-looking grand piano in black and white on the side of the stairs.

This large mansion's overall theme is actually a blend of black, white, gray, and a hint of light cream.

If you do not get close enough to the marbles, you will not notice that they have pinkish and purple hues.

"Hija, it is nice to meet you." Nanay Mirasol spoke with a smile.

"It is good to meet you as well." I gave her a smile as though it were difficult to resist giving her one in return.

"Hija, your great-grandmother looks exactly like you." She said something later, and I stared at it.

It is true that I inherited it from my father's grandmother, but no one inherited it from my father's generation, who believed it would never happen; instead, it was his daughter, who is now me, who inherited this genetic disease.

We went up to our room because we had a long flight and were tired of sitting.

I immediately laid down on my bed and closed my eyes.

When I awoke, I looked around because it seemed noisy outside.

I frowned because it appeared there was a visitor downstairs.

I immediately got up and walked to my room's veranda, but I was surprised because this place appeared strange.

I squinted at the blinding light as I stepped out onto the veranda, then opened my eyes.

The previous scenario was nothing more than a vivid dream.

I stood up and looked around my room.

Someone knocked, so I swallowed hard and tried to find my voice.

Sophia smiled as she greeted me, which irritated me slightly.

"Have you slept well?" She asked as she opened the blinds on my window.

"No, because I am still changing." I said this while lying down again, staring at the ceiling.

"You will come down later so we can eat breakfast." She said when it was over.

I simply got out of bed, undressed, and went to the restroom.

After taking a shower, I gazed at my reflection in the mirror.

How I wish I were as tanned or black as the other regular people to be like them.

I would like to have blonde or black hair as well.

I wish I had brown or black eyes instead of my current color.

Unfortunately, I lack it; when people see me, my appearance is a curse.

They all gave me strange looks in the airport yesterday, as if they were shocked and possibly repulsed to see me.

However, it differs from the way that Sophia, Papa, and the couple in charge of the mansion will perceive me.

Their faces are kind and respectful, and I do not see anything out of the ordinary.

Only a select few give me that kind of look.

I was walking down when I noticed a girl carrying a basket, and when she saw me, I saw the shock in her eyes.

She sat down, confused, after dropping the basket and scattering the apples and oranges on the floor.

Given how it looked, I could not help but laugh.

"What happened, Didi?" Manang immediately inquired, then looked at the scattered fruits.

"Grandma, there is a ghost on the stairs!" She said this while looking terrified, and Manang noticed me and was surprised as well.

However, it hit the girl right away.

"What are you?" She is the owner's daughter and grandchild," she told the girl who was standing, and I went completely down and picked up the fruits on the floor.

Sophia, who was surprised by the scattered fruit, caught up with us here as well.

"My granddaughter mistook you for a ghost; I apologize, señorita." The old woman apologized as I placed the fruits in the basket.

"It is fine, manang." I said with a smile, looking at the girl who was staring at me, but then bowed.

Didi, who lives in their estate near the mansion, is the old woman granddaughter.

"Winter, I have never heard you laugh before." I chose to sit at the table and ignore what Sophia said as she was setting out the fruits in the kitchen.

She actually heard me laugh, so I was just irritated.

When the elderly woman told her granddaughter why she looked this way, the youngster appeared to comprehend.

I eventually realized it, so I dealt with it.

"I apologize if I thought you were a ghost; you are really gorgeous, but you are white, especially your hair." I was shocked when she said that because I was the only one who could see her body light up.

The girl was smiling and still looking at me in wonder, so I just shook hands and laughed.

"You have such a lovely soul." She was taken aback by what I said because I whispered, but I simply grinned at her.

"Come, before the food gets cold, we must eat breakfast." Sophia said, winking and grinning at me, so I stopped focusing on it.

It was a really lovely morning. I met a girl and was immediately struck by how radiant her aura was.
