Carter's POV:
Carter: "What a freaking weird day, I wasn't able to hunt any animal, Dad's going to be so mad, and everyone is singing in silence, why is life so weird for me?" He sighed.
Narratives Pov:
*As he entered the home, he saw his dad at the kitchen table. Waiting on the kitchen chair for him he took a deep breath in. *
Mr. Carter: "You good for nothing, son. Look at what you have done. You couldn't even hunt an animal down. It is such a disgrace to have you as my son." He scolded.
Narratives POV:
Carter's dad is an alcoholic. Who abuses his son daily for things that don't even matter, with no regret of what he has done to sink a wound so deep within his son's mind that he is worth nothing. Many people believe that Carter's father murdered his wife for an unjustified reason by murdering her cold-blooded in an alley on Carter's Fifteenth birthday. Leaving Carter completely numb and bitter throughout the years.
*He didn't say a word as he stared emotionlessly into his father's eyes*
Mr. Carter: "I would have rather been a better man without you being born! let alone having a sexually immoral person as my wife in the first place." He yelled.
Carter: "Don't you dare, speak about my mother that way!
She was the only reason you were able to escape that hell hole. You are nothing more than a murderer to me and this place." He yelled back.
*He hit his son, to the point where the people began to crowd and tried to stop him from killing his son who was the last of his line. *
Carter: "I wish. It was you who died that night and not her." His gaze turned cold with anger burning deep down within.
Mr. Carter: "You will never understand what it's like to live a life without a soul. And you are nothing more than an ungrateful child."
*The crowd grew quieter. The silence was all that was left. *
The crowd: "He's lying. He is playing the victim; I saw him carry her that night from the alley covered in blood. He's lying!" The crowd echoed.
Carter: "You are a liar and filthy person. I wish that you would've taken her place rather than hiding behind a coward. I never want to see you again. I hate you!". He stormed away.
*Mr. Carter explains to the crowd in frustration*
Mr. Carter: "I didn't murder her, I loved her more than any of you would understand! She left me behind and didn't even say a word or even a letter as to why she was leaving me behind with a baby boy!" He yelled.
*Carter stops and realizes not only was his father selfish about himself and his happiness, but he didn't even stand up for his mother while she was hurt. *
Carter: "Then why on Earth did you say she left you for a sexually immoral reason? Or why did you say, she killed herself when you killed her? Why do you keep making up stories? He yelled.
Crowd: "He a liar! Liar! LIAR! LIAR!" They chanted.
Mr. Carter: "Because I thought she did leave me for somebody else Because I am not perfect. I became an alcoholic after she left me and you were just 4 years old and once, she was back, her smile went dry, and her eyes lost those sparkles, and as years passed by it was your 15th birthday. I knew something was wrong, so I questioned her as to why she left me behind for years. And her answer was as dry as it could get. She said, "I don't know". And on your 15th birthday, she left again and when I followed her, she was stabbed by someone. A tall man with silverish white hair. And the only words I could hear were, "It is done, my master." I hid nearby, and once he was gone; I carried her back. She was bloody and light-weight. And that's how your mother died! I did not murder her! I loved her!" He whimpered and yelled.
Carter: "You indeed have a talent for making up stories, don't you Dad? But guess what, I don't believe that messed up story you made in your head." He lowered his voice with disbelief.
Mr. Carter: "… Son?" He barely whispered despite the agony.
Carter: "Don't call me that. You are not my father. You are just a murderer in disguise. I won't fall for your sympathy again. I am leaving and I will make sure I will Never step foot in this land again. I hate you, Dad. I will never forgive you." He glared with anger.
*Walks away*
Mr. Carter: "Son! I know you hate me for lying to you about everything in life! But be wary about a person about 6 feet with silverish white hair, his voice is very calm and sweet. But he is evil in every way! I have no reason to hold you back any longer." He withdrew.
Carter: "Whatever."
*The anger burnt within him to a point where he could burn the world down as he walked away from that land for a few hours and into a dark and misty forest that made his eyes blurry, and he fainted*
Narratives POV:
*A voice called out, A sweet little girl's voice. *
A girl's voice: "Karl…. Karl. Wake up, My hero!"
Carter: "That voice is familiar. Who is it? But my name isn't Karl." He called out.
A girl's voice: "Karl! It's me! Karl, It's mom."
Carter: "Mom?! Mom, where are you? Mom!" He yelled.
*Looks around but he can't find the voice*
He walked into the abyss not knowing the voice that called out was not his mother, but an entity that wanted him to be dead.
