Damian and Richard went to their destination after their little fight. Richard could not believe that Damian wants to keep Stella Andrew and Jessica Chard by his side. He felt disgusted that his best friend decided to date a whore and the funniest thing Is that they have been together for six months.
His phone rang, without checking the caller ID, he picked up. " Sir, your mum just called the office and asked me to relay this message to you". He recognized his secretary's voice as it filtered from the phone to his ears.
" Which message are you meant to relay".
" Sir, your mum asked you to come over for dinner. She said she has not seen you for a year and she wants to see you. She said you should also call her as soon as you receive this message. Thank you sir". She said as she related the message.
" Thank you so much, bye". He responded and hung up.
He told his driver to head to his parents home as soon as he hung up. He smiled as he remembered his mum was addicted to him in some way. She loves making sure he is right next to her.
He was passing by a shop when he asked the driver to park. He got down, entered into the shop and started looking for what to surprise his mother with. He decided to ask for assistance.
Within thirty minutes, he arrived. He went into the house pulling his driver along. " Marie, Serve food to Theodore". He told his parents house help. With that done, he went in search of his mother.
Meanwhile....
" Ma'am, we have a situation".
Jessica looked up from her laptop as her personal assistant came in. "What is the situation".
"An order has been placed ma'am. They need a Baker and a decorator".
Jessica sighed. She nodded her head to her assistant and the woman left. While rubbing her forehead, she called Kelsie" Kels, there is a situation".
Kelsie arrived immediately she heard her best friend had a situation. " What happened. What is the situation".
" A wedding is going on tomorrow. They need a Baker and a decorator".
" Cancel it, it is too urgent". Kelsie said immediately.
" Cancel it, Kels, did you by any chance forget that this order was our first business".
" Well, what do you suggest we do. We have three construction site. We are planning for the contract we just secured, how do we handle this".
" I don't know, but you and I agreed that we would not let anyone down. Beside our company is not far from here. We'll go there this night and work every order out".
" I don't know, Jesse. You can't work under pressure".
" Just trust me Kels, let me take care of the planning".
Before Kelsie could respond, Jessica's intercom buzzed. She pressed a button and her assistant's voice came in " Ma'am, they are still on the phone. What is your response".
Jessica looked at Kelsie, seeking her approval. Kelsie had no other choice than to nod her head. " Tell them we say Yes, and Rhea, take their orders and come into my office".
Kelsie understood the assignment and called her personal assistant" Reach here immediately".
As Rhea walked in, Noelle, Kelsie's personal assistant came in with her. Rhea walked straight to her boss's table and placed the list on it. She straightened as she opened her notepad for further instructions.
Jessica looked at her laptop then pushed it aside. She gestured everyone to take a seat. Kelsie Intentionally sat next to her as she wants everything to go well and very fast. Jessica laid the list on the table and started giving instructions.
If they were going to accomplish everything on this list, they needed total cooperation. As soon as a map was drawn and duties were shared, everyone rushed to achieve it to impress.
Jessica sat back down on her seat, pulled the laptop close and continued her construction drawing. This building to be constructed was happening in the next two days. She continued changing and editing until the image of the building matched the one on the paper and that of her computer.
She sighed as she emailed the picture to the head of the construction site. She also sent him the sketching and drawing. She closed her laptop. She was done with office work for the day.
She grunted angrily because of the baking order that just came in. Which means no office work for either the ladies nor their personal assistants. She picked up the list again and went to fulfill her own shared duty.
By exactly six pm, everyone arrived at the baking company. Kelsie and her assistant brought her decorating equipments and some workers. Everyone got down to work, only stopping for refreshments. Jessica forego refreshments for coffee.
She was the one baking everything they ordered. She called in the acting CEO of the company and they started mixing flour. Their table became dusty with spices and ingredients.
The ladies did not stop. Within two hours, the four layers wedding cake was baked and set aside for cooling. The Royal icing that will be used to decorate the cakes were set. The chocolate drizzle was set.
The ladies dived into the snacks that were on the least. Everyone's hand were on deck as they all struggled to achieve their common goal. At exactly ten o clock. Jessica sent everyone home. The people that chose to remain were Noelle, Rhea and Katie who was the acting CEO of the company.
By 12, Jessica was still baking. The numerous coffee she drank helped to fuel her system and kept her pumping. She looked around the store and realized why everywhere was quiet. Everyone had gone to bed. She was the only one left awake.
She looked at the list, luckily she was almost done. At exactly 1 o clock in the morning. She washed her hands. Off every machine. Dimmed the light, she then walked into the storeroom to bring out blankets.
She calmly covered everyone, she then lay down, covered herself and slept off. She felt very tired. Her bones were aching. Her alarm rang at exactly six in the morning. As she stood up, her bones cracked.
She decided to stretch. She looked around and noticed everyone was awake but no where to be seen. She quickly left the office and walked into the kitchen area and saw everyone boxing things.
Kelsie looked up and saw Jessica. She rushed to her side, greeted her by hugging her. She took her in. " Freshen up yourself, I ran home and got us somethings". She informed her.
Jessica looked at everything Kelsie pointed at and smelled a scent before she could comment, Kelsie beat her to it. " I told mum you did not have a decent meal since afternoon and she decided to cook for all of us that were here with you. We have all eaten, you are the only one left. Go, hurry up".
Jessica ran into the bathroom and freshened up with the speed of a light. She enjoyed being in clean clothes after what happened yesterday. As soon as she came out of the bathroom, Katie came to her.
" Ma'am, we have stocked everything into the van, we move at your command".
