We begin on an island, a very big island floating high up and above the clouds, far away from the view of the mortals. On this island, which was honestly more of a continent than anything, was a single, massive, sprawling city. There were no skyscrapers, afterall- Why would you reach for the sky when you're already there?
Nearly all buildings were single story, with the occasional two story shop or bodega. All buildings were made of extravagant stone, silver carvings embroidered on the sides to tell the story of its owner. The streets were constructed of shining silver bricks, lighting up a branching path through the city. In the middle of all streets though, was a single, bold streak of glowing golden ore, all connected all the way to a single massive building in the dead center of the city, being put up atop a pedestal to make it the obly elevated monolith in the city, visible to everyone with enough power and wealth to obtain the chance at even laying their eyes apon the place.
This is Olympus, and inside the palace lied one of their biggest rooms, we'll besides the other 13 of them. See, there was a total of 14 massive rooms in the palace, the throne room- used for meetings, and the other 13 great rooms each made personally for the greatest of gods. Only, in the smallest of these rooms lies a man who's soul has no godly place being in this existence.
On the massive bed lies a man who looked to be around in his late 20s, he has silky black hair and deep, purple eyes that slowly blinked into awareness.
"Huh?...Where am I?" Suddendly, this imposter god was hit with an intense headache, implanting foreign memories into his mind.
In these memories, he lived a different life. One that started with the greatest of strife and struggle. He was Daxos, god the Earth itself, with minor domains in various realms that had to fo with it. Life, death, water, weather, power. There are obviously other gods with these domains, but Daxos couldn't control a minor domain as well as a god with a major domain in that area.
His main abilities had to with with manipulation if the earth, water, energy and generally the vibrancy of the world in general. Though, he had a bad habit of using gravity as his main ability. As a god of life, he had an innate connection to the mortals as well, and all of their knowledge and wisdom as a result.
What was truly unusual about his awakening is that like the Earth, Daxos would sleep for decades, even centuries at a time, not waking for quite a long time.
Finally stirring out of his stupor, Daxos stood to his full height of nearly 100 feet tall and looked at himself in the mirror... It was just as he expected: a chiseled body, strong and sturdy frame, as well as deep set, striking eyes framed by an impossibly handsome face. He also took notice of an ethereal glow around his body, showing the shear amount of power present in his body. To a mortal, it would be like standing in the presence of hundreds of nuclear explosions happening I an instant, only to repeat thousands of times a second.
Mentally flipping a switch, the glow stopped, suckling back into his body. Another and Daxos quickly shrunk down to a tall 6'5" tall, towering over any mortals of this time. He smirked. "I could get used to this..."
Hearing a resounding crack of thunder, Daxos instinctively understood that his brother Zeus was calling fir the Olympians. 'Come, the Winter Solstice has arrived.'
Flipping the size switch, Daxos grew to his full height again, and Olympian clothing appeared around him. A pure white cloth clipped to his shoulder by a golden pin. He frowned, mentally changing the clothing's substance to something else. Now, his attire was a deep Royal Purple, with vines and stones littered around to break up the main color. The pin changed aswell, becoming the head of a regal hawk glaring out at whoever it sees.
His steps echoed throughout the halls as all the minor gods(The maids and attendants for the Olympians, essentially their underlings) trembled and looked away from his figure. It wasn't that he was an angry or tyrannous god, but the very weight of his presence that bore down on everyone around him. Daxos could reel it back, but why out in the effort?
Soon enough, he arrived at the throne room, finding that nearly all gods were present and had just begun. Daxos yawned, "What, didn't bother waiting for your dear brother, my king?"
Zeus's eyes widened in surprise as a rare fond smile broke out on his face. "Daxos, you've awoken! How long has it been, brother."
Poseidon answered. "Nearly 300 years. It is good to see you awake again, brother."
Daxos smiled, strolling up to his throne at the side of Zeus. The king sat in the direct middle of the room, and going to Zeus's left was Hades, Hera, Aphrodite, Ares, Hephaestus, and Demeter. To his right was Daxos, Poseidon, Hestia, Apollo, Hermes, and Artemis.
Nearly all of the were staring in shock at Daxos's presence, and justvthe fact that he was awake in general. "Have seat, brother, we were just getting started."
Daxos nodded as his throne lit up with royal purple and green, his two godly purple. He shared purple with Hera, but hers was a lighter shade, like a flower. It represented garage and fragility while his represented unknown strength and power. The green was vibrant and full of life, representing all that exists on the Earth.
"The mortals have settled down, as we know, and many have come to live in various cities." Zeus said, then turned to one of his sons. "Ares, you formed such a city did you not?"
Ares grinned. "Sparta, the city of conflict and war. Made in my image."
Daxos smiled, shaking his head at his little nephew. "Any other cities of note?"
Athena nodded. "Athens, named after me. I gave them a doctrine of knowledge, based around the desire for such."
Zeus nodded. "I've also created a city but Apollo looks after it in my stead."
Apollo nodded. "Olympus, named after this very city. Both my sister and I look after it, and we hope to let it grow abroad a much bigger city for the mortals to come to and reach out to us."
"All these new cities huh?... I suppose that I should take a look then." Daxos spoke, thinking about the new life he was to live.
