Dominic and William walked at a slow and steady pace, the dark and silent streets making their footsteps echo.
They reeked of blood and sweat, the metallic tang of iron clinging as a stark reminder of tonight's events.
Dominic's ginger hair stuck to his forehead, his body sweating and aching from how much strain he had put on it.
As they walked in silence, they neared an old abandoned house.
The two-story house had its windows and walls boarded up.
It was creepy, uninviting, and most of all looked dangerous. This is why the gang had made this the base of operations.
William opened the gate and he and Dominic made their way to the front of the stairs.
Dominic held onto William's shoulders as William lifted Dominic up the unstable stairs.
"Damn Dominic, you've been eating? You light, like a bag of sugar."
William then made his way up the stairs after he spoke.
"Of course I eat, I just don't eat as much as you and Kenny." Dominic said as he smiled and playfully punched William's arm.
As William was about to open the door he stopped and spoke.
"Hey Dominic, I just wanted to say…I'm sorry, I was angry and mad so I took it out on those people and plus I left you. I'll try to keep myself in check next time."
Dominic smiled and nodded, reflecting on how he acted when he first joined.
"It's alright dear ol' William, I was like you when I first joined, it's quite alright."
Dominic said, and William smiled and nodded before he opened the door.
The moment William opened the door, his and Dominic's nostrils were hit with the smell of alcohol.
William set Dominic on a nearby chair in the living room. As William turned around to sit on the couch, he saw where the reek of alcohol was coming from.
Vincent Merum, the gang's second eldest laid on the couch sprawled out, in his usual disheveled state, his dirty blond hair a mess and the sharp reek of alcohol surrounded him.
Vincent mumbled things as William made his way toward Vincent and the couch.
William sighed, as Dominic just looked at Vincent and shook his head.
William shook Vincent and spoke.
"Yo Vincent, go to your room and rest man I need to sit down. My legs are hurting."
Vincent blinked his eyes open and looked at Willam. He mumbled something and closed his eyes again.
Dominic smirked and asked William.
"Can you hand me the broom from the closet and put me closer to the couch?"
William went to the closet by the wide and spacious kitchen and grabbed the broom.
William then slid Dominic closer to the couch and handed him the broom.
In a swuft arc, Dominic swung the broom, hitting Vincent in his private area.
Vincent sprung up with a loud scream and groaned as he held his crotch.
William laughed as Dominic smiled and asked.
"You up now dear Vincent? Still daring to challenge me and William's authority?" Dominic smirked at Vincent, daring Vincent to challenge him.
"Fuck you Dominic. And what the hell are you laughing at William? You top hat wearing mother fucker."
Vincent said as he stood up and started to walk up stairs, as he did he passed Kenny as Kenny made his way down.
"The hell happened? I thought I heard a loud scream coming from down here?" Kenny said before making his way to the couch.
Dominic smiled "Yeah you heard little bitch Vincent, ol' scarred ass bum." Dominic said as he used the broom as a cane and made his way to the kitchen.
Kenny glared at Dominic. "You and Vincent need to quit that shit. Neither of you are enemies, you guys are comrades so get your shit together."
Dominic scoffed as he opened up some milk and poured him a glass.
For about five minutes there was silence, each boy in the room reflecting the night.
"I'm gonna go take a shower and put on some clothes. Dominic, I'll heat some water up for you so you can bathe after me."
William said as he went upstairs to his room to retrieve some clean clothes.
As Dominic nodded and finished his glass of milk, Kenny asked a question. He looked at the blood over Dominic's clothes as he asked.
"So, what was so important that you had to kill some people?"
Dominic smiled and took something out of his coat pocket. He threw the object at Kenny.
Kenny caught it and looked at the item.
"Holy shit! Is this real? Dominic, you're not playing right? You found this?" Kenny asked as he held up a pocket watch with a rotting Crow engraved on it.
Kenny was nervous as he held the pocket watch. If this was real then this might be the key to expanding and making big power plays.
Though at the same it could be a huge risk, that Kenny didn't know if they were ready to take.
"If I'm being honest I don't know myself, but I know this risk is worth it. What if we get access to Limbo?" Dominic said as he made his way to the couch.
Limbo, the place told in tales to children and teens alike. A place where fortunes were made, information exchanged, and deaths ordered.
That is the place that lies so secret in Uon City that not even the police have a clue where it could be.
Supposedly you had to have a verification that you were a guest, a pocket watch with a rotting Crow engraved on the back of it.
Kenny smiled and nodded.
"Hell yeah man! If this is shit is real, we could get way more shit to gain influence and power."
Kenny said as he smacked Dominic's back, though this knocked Dominic off the couch and he went forward and fell face first.
As this happened the front door opened and boots could be heard walking on the creaking floor boards.
A boy with white bucket hat and brown hair walked in and sat in a chair, tired.
This boy was Anderson Termia, William's older brother and the leader of these boys.
"So what did you find today Dominic? Had Kenny yelling so loud heard him from the gate." Anderson asked as he smiled, his yellowish eyes scanning the object Kenny held.
Kenny smiled and answered Anderson.
"Well Dominic got something very interesting Anderson. This could change our lives!"
Aderson sat as Kenny walked up and showed him the pocket watch.
"So what do we do with this Anderson? You're the leader of us lot."
Anderson leaned forward tracing the watch, his eyes narrowing, going over every risk, but also the rewards if it was true.
If it was real they had the potential to get power to expand their power and influence, but at the same time if it was a false they might be put in danger for trying to sneak in.
Dominic and Kenny waited for about five minutes when Anderson spoke.
Anderson ran his finger over the crow engraved on the pocket watch. He then thought of William, if things remained like this, they would all eventually die one way or another.
With this though in mind Anderson answered.
"Alright, I say let's take the risk. If this is the real deal, this could change our lives. This is our hope for now."
