I was going through a minor shock due to the revelation that apparently a demi-god from fiction was standing in my store. It probably wasn't strange, considering the nature of the vault, but it was still a shock to me. As I was standing there in my own world, I could hear the demi-gods and huntresses trying to get my attention.
"Yes, sorry about that. So, what would you like?" I asked them as I then realized I forgot to introduce myself. "Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself" I said to them as I tried to come up with a new name. New name, new life I wanted to say noting it down. "My name is...Clay" I said to them. "Your fine. These people over hear are Zoe, Thalia, Grover, and Bianca" he said pointing to a few people. The rest introduced themselves, though some were glaring at the demigod. "What do you offer?" asked the one named Zoe, a character that was very demanding and spoke in an authoritative tone.
"Anything you can ever want, for the right price" I said to them. I could feel their frustration at not having a straight answer. "Do you have any figurines?" asked the small girl Bianca. If I remembered right, she was a child of the one below, Hades. I was careful to recall something about how names had the power to attract their bearers, especially those of transcendent power. "Of course, which one are you looking for?" I asked her. "A Hades figurine from a game called Mytho-Magic" said Bianca as I summoned the figurine infront of her.
"The price for this is about, say twenty bucks?" I told them. They each had a blank look as I realized they were short on cash. I smiled and said "Well, I do take alternate payments. Anybody wish to pay for her?" I asked as they now looked at me with apprehension. The one who stepped up was the gothic styled Thalia, daughter of Zeus, and her appearance was one of coolness and the sense of her being able to beat you up. "What payment?" she asked as I smiled. "It can range from anything like your Karma, Destiny, your powers, etc" I said with a smile as her and the others eyes widened.
"You can do that?" she asked. "Of course I can" I said to her. I then began to calculate the price for the figurine and was able to present her number in the form of karmic points. "This figurine can be worth about 2 karma points" I told her as Bianca began to look at Thalia with puppy dog eyes. Thalia seemingly held her ground, but I knew she would break, and she did when she said "Fine, I'll pay" she said. "Perfect" I said as I took her hand and took the karma from her. She shuddered under the process and I also somehow received a boost. 'Maybe because it's hero karma' I thought.
"There, the payments complete. Anything else?" I asked them as Percy Jackson stepped up. "You have everything right?" he asked as I nodded. I felt he was gonna ask for something that should be impossible to test that. "Do you have any infinite water bottles?" he asked as I summoned one with an anti-spill and anti-flood function. He looked surprised and smirked. "What about..... an infinite pizza slice" he said as I brought one out, pepperoni style.
He began asking for item after item and was now getting worried at the stuff I had, particularly the eyeball with wings floating around. "Alright, can we get the infinite water bottle, box of regenerating food stuff, and some healing medicine. "Alright, will that be drachma or karma?" I asked them as Percy extended his arm and his karma was harvested and I felt empowered. "Alright, have fun!" I told them as they headed outside, while Zoe nightshade stared at with scrutiny in her eyes and eventually exited the building.
'Man, that was fun' I thought as I put away the stock and I decided to rearrange the setting, seeing as I did not like the previous arrangement. I decided to make it more comfortable by expanding the setting, adding chairs, tables, and sofas to make it more welcoming. 'There, now it looks better' I thought to myself as I went through some more stuff, and I stopped on the Hourai Elixir, and the flavor text which appeared gave me pause and almost caused me to down it in one gulp. 'No, maybe later' I thought as I stored it away.
I then looked through dozens of books that was in the infinite collection it had and picked up some manuals on martial arts and magical technique. One of the manuals was called the Sublime Spirit Scripture and was a cultivation manual. 'It apparently exists in nine volumes according to each stage of cultivation, which I don't no much about besides crappy informants online' I thought to myself as I had all nine volumes and decided to take an attempt at cultivating them to gain strength, even if the vault protects me. I opened the first manual and began the appropriate breathing exercise and followed the mnemonics.
I breathed slowly and in a controlled manner. I meditated for a long while until I could sense some qi in my body. 'Nice, now for the next step' I thought as I began to condense this qi and spread it through out my whole body, even to the deepest of regions that even I could not sense. I was now able to sense qi in the air, faintly but the feeling was there. 'I figured it take me longer' I thought as I know took in some of the qi in the air and began absorbing it into my body and circulating it. I felt some changes in the body but they were small, gradual changes.
I then get up as I heard the ding of the shops bell and went up front. What I saw as a girl with pink hair, a plaid type skirt and a guy in an apron that would not look out of place for a gangster. The girl with pink hair was the one I was hesitant of. 'Kofuku....Fuck'.
