Chapter 6 - Combines the battlefield

The people of Qin were fixated on the majestic figure standing in the center of the battlefield, his spear raised triumphantly in his hand. The news of their victory brought a mix of excitement and reverence to the faces of the onlookers. "We won! Master, we won!" A young girl on the city tower exclaimed with joy, cheering towards her master. The woman smiled slightly at the news, but before she could respond, the young girl's expression changed to one of confusion. "Master, something's not right! Why is General Qin still standing in the same position?" She pointed towards Qin Yi in the center of the battlefield, her voice filled with concern. The woman sighed and explained calmly, "It's not that he doesn't want to move, but his qi and blood have been depleted. He is on the brink of death." The young girl's face fell in shock. "Master, how did this happen? He is such a heroic figure, I don't want him to die! Can you save him?" The woman shook her head, her gaze troubled. "He used his qi and blood to gain strength beyond his limits. While it may have been effective, it has taken a toll on his vitality. Without intervention, he may not make it through tomorrow." The young girl's eyes filled with sadness as she looked at the lonely figure on the battlefield. The woman, unable to bear her disciple's distress, sighed softly. Meanwhile, the Xiong Nu army had scattered and fled due to Qin Yi's unmatched strength, and the noise on the battlefield began to die down. Despite their valiant efforts, the small number of Qin soldiers could only leave behind a few hundred Xiong Nu corpses before retreating back to their ranks. Zhang Han quickly approached Qin Yi's body and saluted, reporting, "General, the Xiong Nu army has collapsed. We have beheaded over 2,000 enemies and lost 700 of our own soldiers." After receiving no response, he spoke again with concern, "General, the Xiong Nu army..." Suddenly, the sound of a weapon hitting the ground interrupted Zhang Han's words. He looked up in surprise to see Qin Yi, who had been standing tall like a javelin, slowly falling to the ground. The crunching sound was from his spear hitting the ground. "General!" Zhang Han exclaimed, rushing to catch Qin Yi's body. But before he could reach him, a figure appeared and swiftly carried Qin Yi away. Zhang Han looked around in confusion, only to hear a woman's voice in his ear. "Don't move him, or your general may die instantly." He saw two veiled women nearby, one of them holding Qin Yi's body carefully. Zhang Han's face darkened as he pointed his sword at them. "Who are you? Release my general!" The surrounding Qin soldiers also drew their weapons, ready to attack. However, the older woman remained calm and spoke in a bland tone, "I am saving him. If you want your general to survive until he reaches the city, it's best not to act rashly. Otherwise..." She didn't finish her sentence, but her meaning was clear. Zhang Han's heart skipped a beat, sensing that things were not going well. He noticed a green jade token with the word "medical" engraved on it at the woman's waist. "It's them!" Zhang Han thought to himself, realizing that there may still be hope if these were the people who intervened. He lowered his sword and respectfully said, "Please, Master, save my general!" The woman nodded and, together with the young girl, carried Qin Yi towards Fancheng. "General Zhang, why did you let them take the general?" Wang Wu, who was injured on the side, asked eagerly. "Can't you see that the general is in critical condition?" Zhang Han replied in a low voice. "If they are willing to help, it may be the general's only chance." Wang Wu wanted to say more, but Zhang Han raised his hand to stop him. "Clean up the battlefield as I ordered and wait for General Liu's main force. I will follow them into the city to check on the general's condition." Darkness enveloped Qin Yi's consciousness as he floated in a void. He whispered to himself, "Am I dead?" In a daze, memories from his past life and this one intertwined. He remembered that when he first arrived in this world, he had just obtained a system. However, due to the Hun invasion, he had no choice but to use the Overlord Blood Sacrifice to defeat Abutai. While this saved the battle, it also depleted his qi and blood, leaving him on the brink of death. Just as he was lost in these thoughts, a familiar electronic voice broke through the darkness. "Ding! The host has completed the mission, the reward has been issued!" "Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the Divine Gift Packs, three of them!" Hearing this voice, Qin Yi jolts, a look of surprise appearing on his face, "System, you're still here!" "Ding! System tip: As long as the host does not perish, this system will never disappear." "Then what is happening to me now?" Qin Yi couldn't help but ask. "Ding! Due to the use of the Overlord Blood Sacrifice, the host's qi and blood have been depleted and he has fallen into a state of false death!" "False death?!" Qin Yi's head was filled with black lines, "What's the difference between this and being dead?" Just as he was feeling helpless, the system's icy voice rang out once again. "Ding! Is it time to open the Divine Gift Pack now? The host's fate will change due to the choice ..."
