Chapter 45 - Korea team's arrival

The moon hung low in the sky, casting a faint glow over the darkened streets of New York City. In the aftermath of the World Meeting attack, the city was still in chaos. News outlets flashed images of the Prime Minister's assassination, the Funik Clan's rising power, and the uncertainty surrounding the world's future. But amidst the confusion, a new force was on the move.

The Korea Team had arrived.

Korea Team's Arrival

As the sun began to rise, a sleek, black aircraft descended onto the tarmac of the New York City Airport. The landing was smooth, but the air was thick with tension. News outlets had already caught wind of their arrival. The Korean Rankers were no strangers to the world stage. They had been a constant presence in international tournaments, dominating each event with an unmatched level of skill and strategy. But this time, they were not here for a competition. They were here for war.

Out of the aircraft emerged six figures, each one wearing a dark uniform with the Korean Team insignia emblazoned across their chests. Their leader, Sung-Min-Ki, stood at the forefront, his posture strong, his expression cold. He was a man who had been trained for this moment his entire life, and his presence alone exuded power.

Behind him was the Korea Team:

1. Dun Lee, the 14-year-old prodigy, whose quick rise to prominence had made him a household name. Known for his ruthless efficiency, he was the youngest to ever achieve the title of National Ranker. He had been raised by the government and was now the most dangerous player in Korea.

2. Kwang-Do, a towering figure whose sheer strength could break through any defense. His powerful Earthbreaker Fist had torn through entire squads in previous battles, earning him a reputation as an unstoppable force.

3. Jin-Mu, the tactician of the team. He was not only a master of strategy but also a formidable player in combat. His Mindblaze technique allowed him to manipulate the battlefield itself, creating traps and illusions that left enemies helpless.

4. Choi-Hyun, the assassin. Silent and deadly, Choi-Hyun moved like a shadow, his skill with a dagger unmatched. His Phantom Strike could cut down enemies before they even realized they were in danger.

5. Ji-Soo, the medic. In a world of brutal combat, Ji-Soo was a calming presence, capable of healing the most grievous of wounds. Her Life Link ability allowed her to channel energy to save allies, turning the tide of battle in their favor.

6. Kang-Ho, the wildcard. His power was unpredictable, but no less dangerous. Able to channel Void Energy, Kang-Ho could manipulate gravity and time itself. His ability was feared by even the most seasoned players, as it could turn the environment itself into a weapon.

Together, they were Korea's Elite, the best of the best. Their arrival signified a shift in the global balance of power. No longer would the fate of the world be left in the hands of politicians and schemers. The Korean Team was here to take control.

The Showdown

As the team exited the aircraft, a small group of government officials and military leaders stood waiting for them. Their faces were tense, knowing the weight of the situation they were about to face. But as the team approached, Sung-Min-Ki raised his hand to signal for them to step back.

"We're not here to play your games," he said, his voice firm and unwavering. "We are here to end this, once and for all."

The officials exchanged uneasy glances but did not protest. Sung-Min-Ki's words were final.

Suddenly, a booming voice echoed across the tarmac.

"Sung-Min-Ki!"

The team turned to see a figure walking toward them—Gok. His towering figure stood in stark contrast to the others, his eyes sharp with the intensity of someone who had been fighting for far too long. He had been a part of the original Korean Ranker team, and his reputation still lingered in the hearts of many.

The two locked eyes. For a moment, there was only silence.

"You came," Gok said, his voice low but filled with a mixture of respect and wariness. "The world has changed, and so have we. But the Funik Clan is more than just a group of assassins. They want to control everything—our governments, our power, our future."

Sung-Min-Ki stepped forward, his gaze unwavering. "I know what they want. But we are not here to fight for scraps. We're here to take back what's ours. Korea will lead the world, and we'll stop at nothing to make that happen."

Gok's expression hardened. "You're playing a dangerous game. And there are things you don't understand. The Funik Clan is just the beginning."

The First Strike

Without another word, Sung-Min-Ki turned his back to Gok and motioned for his team to move. The mission was clear: they had come to take control of the situation and eliminate any threats standing in their way.

As they moved out, they didn't notice the shadowy figures lurking in the distance. The Funik Clan had already set their sights on them. The real fight was just about to begin.

But the Korea Team was prepared. Sung-Min-Ki activated his Zodiac Fragment, the Lion's Roar, sending a shockwave across the area. The ground cracked beneath their feet as they charged forward.

As they advanced, the air seemed to crackle with energy. Kwang-Do and Jin-Mu took the lead, their immense power cleaving through the air, while Choi-Hyun and Ji-Soo kept the team covered from behind. Kang-Ho floated above them, his Void Energy bending the space around them, allowing the team to bypass obstacles in seconds.

But then, just as they reached the outskirts of the city, they encountered the first wave of Funik Clan agents. Their faces obscured by dark masks, they rushed forward with deadly precision. The battle had begun.

A New War

As the Korean Team clashed with the Funik Clan agents, Gok watched from a distance, knowing that this was just the beginning. The world had entered a new era—one where old alliances would shatter, and the balance of power would no longer rest in the hands of the few.
