Chapter 37 - Chapter 37: A Beverly Hills Morning

In the resplendent, spacious hall, elegantly dressed gentlemen and graceful ladies were gathered in small groups, conversing with smiles. Along the walls, long tables were laden with exquisitely prepared food. Waiters in white uniforms moved back and forth, ready to serve every guest. At the front, a band played melodious music, and couples swayed on the dance floor."Phew…" Eisner exhaled, relieved that the unexpected incident seemed to be over."Iger, please keep an eye on that fellow. I don't want any more surprises," Eisner whispered to Robert Iger beside him, looking towards Milo, who was talking to someone in the corner.Robert Iger wasn't originally a Disney employee. He had previously worked for ABC, mainly responsible for liaison with Disney. This year, after Disney began acquiring ABC, Iger had become Disney's man within ABC. Now that the acquisition was complete, with ABC becoming a Disney subsidiary, Iger naturally became a Disney employee. Due to his exceptional abilities and early loyalty, Eisner was very fond of this new subordinate, who bore a slight resemblance to Disney's mascot."Yes, sir," Robert Iger replied with a wry smile. "I apologize, Mr. Eisner. It was my oversight. I didn't expect this to happen."Eisner waved his hand, his gaze still fixed on Milo. "It's not your fault. Blame that young star, and blame…" He didn't say the name, but Robert knew who he meant."And who's that?" Eisner suddenly pointed at the person talking to Milo.It was a thin, bespectacled middle-aged man with a shrewd look. Robert glanced over and immediately recognized him. "The owner of Pixar, one of the founders of Apple, Steve Jobs.""Oh, I remember. That bossy fellow. I'd like Pixar much more without him," Eisner muttered. "Freaks and monsters gathered together. It's a real headache."Robert remained silent.Fortunately, as Disney had hoped, the party proceeded without further incident. Milo left early, taking his women with him, leaving behind a piece of Hollywood gossip that Disney tried to suppress, but knew they couldn't contain: a conflict had occurred at their party. Rising star Robert Downey Jr. had been assaulted and subsequently disappeared from the event. But the person who hit him was completely unscathed, even staying at the party and being personally escorted off the Disney estate by Michael Eisner himself.Overnight, the name Milo Blackburn spread throughout the Hollywood upper crust.……Several days later, early morning at the foot of the Beverly Hills mountains. The alarm clock rang, and a pale, slender arm reached out from under the covers to silence it. A few minutes later, Monica, her hair disheveled and eyes half-closed, lifted her head. She looked around with a dazed expression and sighed. Then, she threw back the covers and sat up, stretching languidly. Her naked, fair body was incredibly alluring with this movement. Especially given her curvaceous figure, even these simple actions were extraordinarily seductive.Just as she extended her legs, preparing to get out of bed, an arm reached out from under the covers, pulling her back into an embrace. "Good morning, my little lamb," Milo said with a grin, kissing her smooth shoulder."Who's your little lamb?" Monica retorted playfully, nestled in his arms."The little lamb knows herself," Milo chuckled, his hands moving over her enticing body. "Such a beautiful morning. How about some more appropriate exercise?""Didn't you tire me out enough last night?" Monica said in a helpless tone, making a slight attempt to struggle before giving in. She felt that this man was an animal in bed."Last night was last night, and now is now," Milo's hands were now caressing her… perfect curves. Round, firm, with an incredible feel. "It's like how we ate yesterday but still need to eat today."Monica groaned softly, making a final attempt to resist. "Don't forget, you said you had an appointment this morning.""Of course, I know, but it won't take long, will it?" Milo suddenly stopped his movements, looking at the woman with a light chuckle. "Don't you think wasting such a beautiful morning would be a terrible thing?"Looking at Milo's smiling face, Monica sighed inwardly. She then thought of the rumor that had been circulating within Hollywood but hadn't reached the newspapers. With a determined look, she suddenly flipped over, straddling him. Her posture, leaning forward, became even more provocative. "Then I'll show you what I'm capable of!"When Monica finally got ready and came downstairs to the living room, her legs were weak and her back ached. That damn Milo! she thought angrily. But despite her anger, there was little resentment, more like a lover's playful complaint.Monica quickly realized this and sighed softly. If I hadn't finally found such a good opportunity, if I wasn't worried about not finding anything better later, I would never be like this! Although she continued to tell herself this, she knew it was mostly self-deception. While it had been her reason for putting up with things for a long time, it was now losing its persuasive power. After sitting on the sofa for a few minutes, she got up and walked towards the kitchen."Good morning, Mrs. Sorley," Monica greeted the middle-aged woman in the kitchen with a hint of surprise. She hadn't expected the housekeeper to be there so early. Mrs. Sorley had been up at the mansion on the hill last night."Good morning, Miss Bellucci," Mrs. Sorley nodded in response, neither warm nor cold. "If Mr. Blackburn comes down, please ask him to sit in the dining room. Breakfast will be ready soon.""Thank you, I will," Monica replied. She was about to say something else, but looking at Mrs. Sorley's indifferent expression, she simply shrugged and turned away. After a couple of months of interaction, Monica knew that this housekeeper had been taking care of Milo since he was a child. Her full name was Marina Alice Sorley. Monica also knew that Mrs. Sorley basically followed Milo wherever he went. For example, if Milo was up at the mansion on the hill, Mrs. Sorley would be there with him.Monica was aware of Zeta-Jones and the others. Just as Zeta-Jones had guessed about Monica's relationship with Milo, Monica also knew that Zeta-Jones was one of Milo's women. And because Zeta-Jones had arrived first, she lived in a better place on the hill. Milo also spent more time there, so Mrs. Sorley stayed there more often as well.A close, all-around capable personal maid and housekeeper who had cared for him since childhood; private bodyguards who looked very capable; an assistant/manager who was also very capable and had also been with him since childhood; and the fact that he could command the respect of Hollywood's elite…All of this made Monica realize that the man who made her legs weak and back ache was likely incredibly powerful. Since she was still nothing, even if Mrs. Sorley's attitude was indifferent, it was best for her not to show any displeasure.
