Neto honestly couldn't sleep at night because he was still thinking about what he had heard. He wanted to go , but at the same time, he didn't see the use because he presumed that if they wanted to win , they (. I. Land )would be better off recruiting forwards and offencers , whom would give them goals rather than a defender , let alone one that isn't that good . It was even stated that only academy scouts would be allowed. He (Neto) saw his hope gone .
It was a moment of depression and Neto couldn't get his mind out of the thought of getting a chance to play ; he even drew a soccer ball instead of an apple in his Art class. A whole lot of other experiences just like that happened but what totally ticked him off was sleep - drawing of Hyodou stadium of Japan. In that moment, he decided that no matter if he was an academy scout , he was going to the tryouts.
He discussed with his parents about it but as usual , his mum discouraged him with words like : " What are you doing with soccer? The world has enough soccer players. Can you play soccer?" . His dad would also give words of advice about a suitable occupation.
But as stiff - necked as he was , he made sure he would make it and he snuck out of the house at roughly 6 : 00am in the morning. His dad saw him from the window as he pursued his drive and he chuckled .
Later that day, he made it to the stadium before 10: 00am and the tryouts would start at 10:00am.
Obviously, Neto snuck in and realized that he wasn't on uniform like everyone else. The guard caught him and tried to take him out but he kept fighting hard to prevent being kicked out until he passed him - Kyoto Samba , captain of Island . He was taking careful steps with his arms in his pocket and his spiky blonde hair before he stopped, he turned and told the guard let him be . The guard tried telling him that Neto wasn't an academy scout but Samba attempted him saying he knew but let's see if any talent comes from him . Neto felt so intimidated. The guard let him go and he continued walking. Samba told him not to get the wrong idea; he was just in a good mood. He said Neto was just another living soul who wasted their time coming there just to be eliminated. Neto dressed quickly into his gear and hurried out seeing so many candidates. He was surprised to see Steve , not knowing he was an academy scout . Steve was also suprised to see Neto because he wondered how he made it. "Being honest ,for a team talking about being bad , a lot of people still wanted in ",Neto said . At least, 80 persons were there.
It was announced what was to happen. To decide everyone's fate, they were to be shared into 8 teams of 10 and 8 professional players would be the goalie . By the time each team plays each other and the remaining 4 teams would be made players by .I. Land players whom would be added and engage in a round of 4 where the selected scouts would be chosen from the last surviving teams . After this, they were divided into Team A , B all tje way to H .
Neto was in Team A . They then balloted for the purposed matches and for the first stage they had :
Team A against Team H , Team B against Team C , Team E against F ,Team G against Team D .
Seeing how this was , it could take at least 3 days to accomplish this so Neto decided to bunk with Barry till it was over.
