Chapter 4 - Lap of luxury

Zenith stood in front of the mirror, idly admiring his reflection. He wasn't sure what had happened—whether it was the bizarre world he had stepped into, or some cosmic fluke—but one thing was for sure: he looked... good. Really good. His jawline was sharper, his posture more commanding, and his eyes—oh, those eyes—had a mysterious glint to them, like a magnet pulling in attention.

He tilted his head, inspecting his face with an amused grin. "No wonder women are attracted to me," he muttered to himself, adjusting his hair slightly. "I mean, who could blame them? Look at this."

From the corner of his eye, he noticed Saphira. She was leaning against the doorway, arms crossed, her expression hard to read, but her gaze... her gaze lingered just a moment longer than necessary.

Zenith raised an eyebrow. "Saphira," he said with a teasing smirk, "I'm not the only one noticing, am I? Seems like even the women around here can't keep their eyes off me."

Saphira's lips twitched, but she didn't respond right away. Instead, her eyes briefly flickered down, then back up to meet his.

"I'm just... ensuring you're not lost in your own reflection," she said, her tone casual, though there was something in her voice that Zenith couldn't quite place.

Before he could say anything else, the door to the room opened, and a tall, elegant woman entered. Her eyes immediately widened when she saw Zenith, and she froze for a moment, taking in his new, striking appearance.

"Is that... is that really him?" she asked, her voice filled with awe.

Saphira nodded, unfazed. "Yes, it's Zenith. The last man alive. The one who's been causing all this chaos."

The woman stepped forward, her gaze fixed on Zenith with a mix of curiosity and admiration. "I thought you were just a myth... but you're real. And... wow, you are real."

Zenith shifted uncomfortably, but couldn't help but grin. "Yeah, I guess so. Hard to believe, right?"

Without another word, the woman walked over to him, and in a move that shocked Zenith, she sat down right on his lap, her hands gently resting on his chest as she gazed up at him, still in awe.

Zenith's eyes widened for a split second, and a surge of heat rushed through him. It was... intense. The woman's presence was overwhelming, and the way she looked at him, like he was some sort of rare, precious artifact... well, he couldn't deny that a part of him enjoyed the attention.

Saphira, however, didn't seem too pleased. She cleared her throat, making her presence known. "You're not a trophy," she said, her voice laced with annoyance.

The woman glanced at her but didn't budge. "He's a man," she replied with a soft chuckle. "And I've never seen one like this before."

Zenith, despite the awkwardness, couldn't help but feel a bit proud of his newfound allure. He had never been the center of attention like this, and honestly, it felt... good. Maybe too good.

After a long moment, Saphira stepped forward, her tone firm. "Alright, that's enough. Get off him. We have more important matters to discuss than... whatever this is."

Reluctantly, the woman stood up, shooting Zenith a final lingering look before turning toward Saphira.

Zenith sighed, trying to adjust himself, his body still reacting to the close proximity. He shot a playful grin at Saphira. "So, what's next? Should I expect a parade, or...?"

Saphira rolled her eyes. "We need to figure out what to do with you. You can't just walk around and make everyone lose their minds. This world is complicated, Zenith. We need a plan."

Zenith leaned back, throwing his hands behind his head. "Complicated? You mean, like, 'keep the only man on a leash' complicated?"

"Something like that," Saphira muttered, a hint of a smile pulling at her lips despite herself. "We can't just let you run wild."

Zenith grinned, his charm turning on full blast as he winked. "I think I could get used to that... but maybe with a little less sitting on my lap, if you don't mind."

Saphira's expression darkened slightly. "Don't get too comfortable. Things are about to get a lot more complicated than you think."
