Chereads / Reborn as A God / Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Consciousness returned to my form, and with a simple thought the darkness receded and condensed into my previous form. My gaze shifted to the planet with the humans, I was amazed to see that the humans had multiplied even more and their initial 12 settlements had swelled up to 30 villages. They were scattered across the first continent on the planet. It was big but I knew that these guys would soon fight over land, after all humans and conflict goes hand in hand.

I shifted my gaze towards some blue and black lights that were moving crazily across the sky. Looking closer i could see that the lights were humans, or were the humans I had made. I scooped a few of them with my right hand, and looking closely at them, the red coloured human "spirits" were deformed. I don't remember creating such things, they looked so… flawed

As I watched the other spirits on the land I realised something. The red spirits were bad, since they were causing havoc and chaos everywhere they went. They had developed some interesting abilities, perhaps a direct consequence of the essence I gave them. There were only two options I had currently, I destroy them or move them to another planet. I didn't want to destroy them as they were mine, I didn't like the thought of erasing them and moving them to another planet is useless as they can simply fly to other planets.

After contemplating for a while, a thought struck me. An afterlife, could prevent all this as it would suck all the spirits out of this reality to another. i raised my hands up and willed 3 energies into existence, one yellow, one white and one black with wisps of red.

I then formed 3 shimmering bubbles resembling the one encircling the universe. I willed the energies into the 3 bubbles and the bubbles turned into the corresponding colours. I willed land to form inside the bubbles, I made them, the realms infinite as they will contain all the life that will emerge from all the other universes I will make in the future.

I named the realm with white energies heaven, the realm with yellow energies I named it the ancestral realm. This realm will serve as the resting place or afterlife for good people and people who were neutral in life. The last realm with black energies with red wisps was by default named hell. This realm in contrast to the other two realms was abundant with death energy and was full of negative emotions in the air. It made a person feel unpleasant and sad just by stepping foot in it. I made the heavenly realm to be a place that had no time, I made it so that it always rejuvenated a person's spirit and made them feel joy on the surface. This was going to be my dwelling and as well as a place for the most righteous of humans or anyone I wish close to myself.

When I clapped my hands, everything seemed to pause and listen to me

"be" I said.

The bubbles materialized into physical constructs instead of being the translucent balls they were previously. I adjusted my voice to only be heard by the spirits across the planets, particularly the little blue and green planet.

"why do you desecrate my creation" I said in a monotone voice.

When my voice fell my divine presence pressed on the spirits across the universe. They showed traces of fear once they felt my presence return to the universe.

"please do not destroy us master!" they shouted in unison.

Some just continued screaming in pain as my presence continued pressing on them. A spirit flew towards me as I stood above the skies of the blue planet.

"have mercy upon us my lord" said a red spirit while it was trembling.

"yes, I shall not destroy you but your desecration has gone too far and for that you will be punished" I declared

I clapped my hands again and the bubble wrapping the universe opened and sucked out the spirits into their respecting realms. Once the last spirit was ejected from the universe the bubble closed again and calm returned to the universe as if nothing happened.

I descended onto the clouds of the blue planet. My eye was caught by one of the humans below, he was climbing the mountain I made the first humans on. I quickly picked up on his intentions as their minds are not closed to me and I picked up the scent of a stain in his soul. I immediately reconnected the ancestral realm to the cave he was going to.

Akiyo the little human tightened his grip on the staff. "I seek the ancestors' guidance,"

"I am here to prove my worth." He added

His ancestors' spirits replied to him and gave him the corresponding trial I told them to give out.

He passed all the trials with quick efficiency to my surprise.

I made a new opening in the cave which led to the ancestral realm. I made sure to caution all the ancestral spirits against interacting with him.

Akiyo approached the obelisks with my commandments, his hands trembling as he reached out to touch their smooth, cold surfaces. The divine metal Tenebrite emitted a yellow light everywhere he touched.

"Why do you seek me?" my resonant voice boomed, from behind him.

Akiyo turned swiftly, and the very air seemed to press down upon him. The weight of divinity forced him to his knees, and he bowed instinctively. Before him stood a tan figure draped in a flowing red toga. His short, pitch-black hair shimmered under the sunlight, but his face radiated a brilliant, blinding light—impossible to gaze upon directly.

"My... my lord," Akiyo began, his voice trembling.

"I have come to find hope for my people."

I thundered in reply, annoyance evident in my voice. He was here because of his selfishness and not because of his people.

"If I recall, you do not honour your oaths. Why should I grant you aid?" I added coldly.

Akiyo pressed his forehead to the ground.

"I plead for this not for myself but for my people, my lord. I will shoulder whatever burden you place upon me. I swear—"

"Enough," I interrupted

"I will help you, but know this: I do so for my purposes, not yours. You will receive power—power beyond mortal comprehension. Yet my blessing comes with a curse. Each generation of your bloodline that wields this power shall pay the price with their life. My mercy knows no bounds, as such your son shall be the first high priest of your tribe and his first son after him and so on. The high priests shall not be afflicted by this curse"

"I am grateful beyond words, great Yidra," Akiyo said, his voice breaking with emotion as he prostrated deeply.

With a wave of my hand, the valley erupted in a blinding light, and I teleported him to the mountain's base. In his hand, the talisman I had given him pulsed with glowing runes, its energy coursing through him. His skin now bore the same ethereal marks, the runes thrumming with divine power.

"Remember, Akiyo," my voice echoed around him.

"you must die for breaking your oath." I added.

Hearing this Akiyo bowed and then ran towards his village. Fought the war he had allowed to erupted then died fighting like a true warrior. His soul immediately flew out of the universe's reality and stopped in front of the ancestral realm and hell as if confused.

The soul finally entered the ancestral realm.

We need to fix that i thought.

I flew towards the after realms. I willed 10 beings into existence, they had much more essence than the humans previously. They were different shades of wheat and they wore long flowing white robes and glaring white halos behind their heads.

"From now on you shall judge the fates of all living things, judge them according to my commandments" I said flatly.

The ten judges bowed towards me simultaneously. I then called the heavenly realm forward, I created a courtroom inside my divine palace. With a thought the heavenly realm swelled and engulfed all the realms and the universe's reality.

I willed 5 more beings into existence, and poured half of my essence into their forms. They too were of various shades and they wore togas of differing colours. 3 women and 2 men.

I called out their names:

-Krey god of war, death and suffering.

-Saraya goddess of marriage, life and childbirth,

-Muressh god of medicine, commerce and the earth,

-Zenenda goddess of nature, new beginnings and protection,

-Kletar goddess of promises, water and civilization.

After my words fell their eyes opened, they knelt when they saw my form and together they worshipped me.

It felt weird at first but I quickly sent that thought away when I felt some fatigue come upon me. My body had gotten used to the power expenditure, if it were previously I would have had to sleep for a few human centuries.
