'This is for your own good'
Bella Woods had heard such words since she was a child.
When she was young, the neighborhood children said she was unlucky, which was why her parents left her in the countryside uncared for.
She cried terribly and called Jade Patel, begging her to take her to Peace City. She promised she wouldn't cause trouble and could take care of herself.
But Jade Patel only said one thing: "We worked so hard all for your own good, don't be ungrateful."
Then she said she was busy and hung up.
Everything was, 'We did this for your own good, don't be ungrateful,' so she had to compromise in everything and swallow her grievances to fulfill this 'for your own good.'
It was more like a heavy shackle parents placed on their children.
"Bella Woods, we arranged the best life for you, don't be ungrateful..."
