Chapter 10 - Chapter 010: It's Him, It's Really Him

Murong Yan, a mere woman, struggled in vain against two strong men; there was nothing useful she could do. She had carefully analyzed the faces of these men but could not see any resemblance to those who had kidnapped her last time.

She had reported the previous incident to the police, and Yang Huiru had made an all-out effort to find those bandits, but to no avail, with no trace left behind. She couldn't have imagined that she would encounter such an event again today.

What she regretted even more was that she shouldn't have teased Yang Fan today. It was karma, indeed.

Too late, everything was too late. Who could save her this time? What to do? What to do? Murong Yan, still not giving up hope, looked around blankly, not seeing a soul, as she was being dragged step by step towards the car.

"Shun-ge, someone's coming." Suddenly, a lookout from behind, a dumbfounded henchman stared at the astonishing scene behind him; a young fellow not too old, as if riding on swirling wheels, came racing in on a bicycle, with a speed hard to imagine.

Shun-ge made a split decision: "You two, stop him. If he tries to mess things up, take him down."

The two men, who received the order, stood on both sides of the road with iron rods in their hands, ready to stop the incoming person.

Initially, Murong Yan thought something had happened but didn't pay attention, until she took a struggling glance over there. With her sharp eyesight, she recognized the person—it was that bastard Yang Fan riding the bicycle at a speed that she couldn't believe.

Feeling in her heart both empathy and joy, Murong Yan couldn't help but question in her mind: how could it be this guy, what good could he do? He was only cannon fodder material. Only the man she had met half a month ago in the abandoned factory had true strength, even though she had never seen his face clearly. Murong naturally affirmed in her heart that he was a real man, a dude.

Look at that scoundrel Yang Fan; other than bullying women and being slick and smooth talking, occasionally showing a bit of craftiness, he was good for nothing. Not to mention facing seven or eight strong men, even against a fierce woman, he would probably end up beaten looking for his teeth on the ground.

The hope that had appeared just moments ago quickly turned into despair.

Murong Yan was dragged a step forward by the two men when suddenly, there were two screams. Murong Yan couldn't bear to listen to such sounds; surely, this bastard had been beaten to the point of spitting out teeth and couldn't get up; although they had many "grievances," she didn't want Yang Fan to get hurt because of her affairs, as he was an outsider after all.

Until one of Shun-ge's henchmen exclaimed in shock: "Shun-ge, that move was fierce, the two of them are **** lying on the ground unable to get up."

It was not only Shun-ge who was surprised, Murong Yan thought she had heard wrong. Turning around abruptly, she saw a completely different scene; two people lying on the ground, whimpering in low voices, while that kid Yang Fan continued riding his bicycle, speeding on his way.

The unexpected situation caught Shun-ge off guard, and he realized more clearly that this young fellow was agile. How could his prey be so easily taken away? Rage filled his chest; this kid was here today to cause trouble, and if not dealt with, he would remain a lingering problem.

"You guys take her and drive away first, leave two people, and come with me to deal with this kid." The remaining two men, one on each side, dragged Murong Yan towards the car, while two henchmen took out iron rods, and Shun-ge directly pulled a handgun from his waistband, holding it in his hand.

This time, two henchmen took the initiative to intercept Yang Fan with iron rods, swinging them from both sides. To their surprise, they didn't hit the kid, who abruptly performed an emergency brake, lifting the front of the bike and swinging it, hitting one on the head. With a thud, blood spattered as the man rolled on the ground. The other man hadn't even reacted before Yang Fan, moving at high speed on the bicycle, dodged to the side and kicked him in the face, sending him tumbling to the ground with stars in his eyes.

This kid was no ordinary person; Brother Shun gave up any idea of leaving him disabled and directly aimed a pistol at Yang Fan, pulling the trigger without a second thought.

However, Yang Fan was faster. Leaping from the speeding bicycle, through inertia and precise control, he sent the bike flying towards Brother Shun. Caught off guard, Brother Shun, holding the gun, had no time to shoot. With a loud crash, the front wheel of the bike hit Brother Shun's chest, the gun flew from his hand, and, with his face covered in blood, he fell to the ground.

The car that had been driven away, with Murong Yan inside, had two henchmen who, seeing their boss's plight in the rearview mirror, stopped the car. One of them approached and called out, "Brother Shun," clearly asking what to do.

Taking this opportunity, Yang Fan walked up to Brother Shun, picked up the iron rod from the ground, and stood facing him. "Let her go, or your boss is a dead man."

The other man stood confused not far away. Without orders from his boss, he didn't know what to do.

On this end, Brother Shun had finally had the chance to catch Murong Yan and naturally did not want to give up easily. "Wishful thinking, kid. I'll remember you. You'll see what happens when you oppose us – constantly ruining our plans; we won't let you off."

"Cut the crap." Yang Fan pointed the iron rod at Brother Shun's groin. "I'm asking you one last time. Let her go or no more being a man – you know the difference between a man and a eunuch. Choose one."

Brother Shun, soaked in cold sweat, tried to procrastinate and didn't speak for a long while. Yang Fan didn't give him the chance and increased the pressure on the rod. Brother Shun couldn't help but scream, "Alright, I'll let her go." Then, he yelled towards his men, "Let her go!"

His men, having received the order, brought Murong Yan out of the car.

Now free, Murong Yan quickly ran to Yang Fan's side, and with a sigh of relief, she quietly asked, "How did you get here?"

"Didn't want me to come?" Yang Fan countered.

Murong Yan, slightly embarrassed, said, "What are you talking about?"

Yang Fan covered their retreat, and they both hurried to their car. Dai Qianqian had already called the police again. Seeing Murong Yan return safely, both she and the driver were incredulous, especially after having just witnessed Yang Fan fight four or five men on his bike from inside the car. The driver was dumbfounded, Dai Qianqian was smitten – how could someone so young be so formidable? She didn't understand what the chairman was thinking, why constantly make things difficult for Yang Fan.

Regardless, the priority was to leave this place of trouble. The driver immediately started the car, and Brother Shun's gang also quickly got into their vehicle. Having failed this time, there was no second chance; the police would arrive any moment, and any further delay could mean they wouldn't get away.

Utterly defeated, Brother Shun made up his mind: he had to take out Yang Fan no matter what; otherwise, he would never get the chance to go after Murong Yan again.
