This line might have been a joke, but when it came from Fang Yi's mouth, it sounded insulting, at least in Zheng Pengfei's opinion.
Zheng Pengfei's eyes flashed fiercely as he yelled, "How dare you insult your superior? Good, we have no need for an employee like you in the company, get out now!" He pointed towards the door.
However, Fang Yi didn't move an inch.
Huo Xiaoxuan quickly ran over, giggling, "Manager Zheng, Fang Yi was just joking. Don't take it seriously. It was a slip of the tongue, don't be too harsh."
But to Huo Xiaoxuan's dismay, before Zheng Pengfei could respond, Fang Yi interjected, "It wasn't a slip of the tongue, nor a joke."
Fuck, what's wrong with this guy? I tried to cover for him, and he's still being stubborn.
Zheng Pengfei immediately jumped up in rage, "Huo Xiaoxuan, did you hear that? Move aside right now, or I will fire you both!"
Huo Xiaoxuan sheepishly stepped back two steps and dared not interfere further.
